After brunch, we head back to our room for a little catnap, just a few hours nothing much. My belly is full, warm, and heavy with mana, and honestly, I can barely keep my eyes open. I need time to properly absorb everything from that ridiculously overpowered wyvern egg anyway.

By the time I wake up, the clock on the wall reads 4 p.m.

I stretch with a quiet yawn and blink the sleep from my eyes.

Eris is sitting at the small writing desk near the window, her back to me. She's leaning forward slightly, writing something on a piece of paper. Her brows are drawn in concentration, lips slightly pursed.

The whole room is bathed in that signature Noctis Sanctum glow—that soft, reddish light of eternal dusk that filters through the tall arched windows.

Ahhh…

Noctis Sanctum.

A place where time seems to stand still. Here, dusk never truly ends. There's no sunrise nor sunset, but an endless twillight.

If it weren't for the ticking clock on the wall, I wouldn't even know how much of the day had passed.

That reminds me, I will have to go out soon. It's better to get some actual sunbath from time to time. Otherwise, I would have some vitamin D deficiency, and that's omega bad! Since it can lead to hair loss, bone loss, and muscle loss!

Yeah, no thanks. I'm trying to bulk up, not fall apart!

But for now, I turn my attention back to Eris.

"Eris, what are you writing?"

She's seem so focused that she doesn't even notice that I'm up. Weird… I've never seen Eris write anything before…

Oh!

Gasp!

Badump!

My heart skips a beat. Could it be… a handwritten love letter? A real, traditional one, sealed with a kiss?!

Nah, no way!

Eris can be so cheesy sometimes, sure, but there's no way she's THAT cheesy, right?

Still, the thoughts of Eris giving me love letters make me giggle a little bit.

Anyways, Eris has noticed me. She turns toward me and gives me a soft smile, welcoming me back from the land of dreams.

"Oh, you're awake? How are you feeling now? Still full?"

I glance down at my belly and give it a gentle tap-tap.

"Hmm…. nope!"

The bloated feeling from earlier is gone, my belly's back to being flat again.

Eris laughs, eyes wide.

"Wow! That's some insane digestion speed! Your Devouring Core really is absurd!"

I puff out my chest proudly, tail flicking from side to side. I can't help it. I'm vibrating like a happy little cat.

"Hehe! Not only am I not full anymore. I feel amazing! Super energized! Uwooohhh!! That wyvern egg seriously did something to me!" Tʜe sourcᴇ of thɪs content ɪs novèlfire.net

Eris chuckles, her own tail swishing behind her.

"Glad you liked it! Anyway… since you're feeling better, how about a short walk?"

"Nn!"

Honestly, I was thinking the same thing.

I already skipped my morning training session, so a little physical activity now sounds perfect. Even if Eris hadn't suggested it, I would've pulled her out into the garden myself!

A few seconds later…

"Aaahhhhh…"

I stretch and let out a long breath, then shuffle over to our shared wardrobe.

"Eris, what do you want me to wear?"

Before she answers, I feel her arms slip around my waist from behind. She hugs me gently, resting her chin on my shoulder. Her warmth sinks into me like sunlight.

"Nothing,"

She murmurs in a low, teasing voice.

"You look best when you wear nothing at all."

A small laugh escapes me, and through my reflection in the mirrow, I see my cheeks flush pink. I give her a playful little elbow.

"Nu! I'm serious!"

I pout, puffing out my cheeks.

Eris grins and places a soft kiss on my shoulder.

"Alright, alright… then can you wear Alter's dress again?"

Eris seems to like that dress a lot.

And honestly? Same!

That dress is so gorgeous and convenient!

Now that I think about it… if Alter suddenly woke up, what would she say if she saw me wearing her dress? Would she be mad? Or happy? Or get all emotional?

Given her unpredictable nature, I honestly have no clue.

Still, at Eris's request, I change quickly. With a simple command, the black ring on my finger responds, and just like that, I'm wearing Alter's darkness dress again, looking like an actual gothic princess, cute and elegant but has some dangerously vibes.

"Hehe, look, Eris! I can even change the design! You want shorter or longer?"

I twirl in front of the standing mirror, the hem shifting with every spin. My voice is light and teasing, but I'm honestly just having a blast.

Eris just stands there, wide-eyed again, completely entranced.

Meanwhile, I'm going full fashion show mode, having way too much fun testing out all the settings.

First, I shorten the skirt to my upper thighs, feeling so cute and flirty, and even a little scandalous. I spin again, giggling as the soft fabric swishes around my legs.

Then I drag it longer, letting the skirt flow down like a waterfall of silk. It grazes the floor, then trails behind me in an elegant sweep.

"Ooooooh! I wonder how long I can make this thing!"

I keep going, layer after layer appearing as if summoned from the shadows. By now, the dress has stretched out for several meters, like I'm spilling the very essence of the night across the floor!

But then—

"Stop."

Eris's voice cuts through the moment.

She steps forward and gently grabs my hand, pulling me closer.

Then she looks straight into my eyes.

"E-Eris?"

Badump!

My heart skips a beat.

"Felicia… you're so beautiful," she says, voice low and sincere. "I can't take my eyes off you…"

"Hehe…"

I blush, heart fluttering like crazy. My fingers tighten around hers.

But then, something clicks.

Wait… this dress design…

It's a freaking wedding dress!

The only thing missing is a veil and a bouquet!

W-WAAAAAHHH!!

Is that why Eris told me to stop?!

I yelp and squeak, flailing in panic. Then I quickly push her back a little, my face hotter than an oven!

"I–If you can't decide, then I'll go with the shorter dress!" I stammer, trying to recover my dignity.

Eris just snickers, her face way too smug for her own good.

"Sure."

She's clearly enjoying every second of my embarrassment.

With a single of my thought, the magical fabric responds. Alter's dress shifts again, transforming into a sleek, cute black skirt with subtle frills and a ribbon belt. It ends just above my knees, perfect for a breezy afternoon walk through a blooming garden.

"Alright, this is perfect! Much better!"

I nod confidently, twirling once to show it off.

But just as I'm admiring myself in the mirror, I hear a soft voice behind me.

"Felicia…"

I turn, and there's Eris, suddenly standing tall and regal. She bows deeply, like a knight from an old fairytale. One hand is pressed gently over her chest, and the other is extended toward me, palm open, waiting.

Her sparkling blue eyes meet mine, glowing softly in the warm dusk light.

"May I have the honor of taking your hand, Your Highness?"

Her voice is so smooth, like velvet laced with charm.
