Ethan Sterling sat for a while, finished breakfast with them, and was about to leave when Ruby Sullivan realized something was off, "You’re going to the company like this?"

"I have sunglasses in the car." Ethan Sterling glanced at her gloating expression, feeling quite displeased. Is there a woman who thinks it’s entertaining to see her husband beaten like this?

Ruby Sullivan nodded and cautiously asked, "Who did it?" She pondered for a moment, "It wouldn’t have been a woman, right?" Rhonda Sullivan certainly didn’t have the capability or boldness, but who said Young Master Sterling could only have one ambiguous woman like Rhonda Sullivan?

Ethan Sterling’s remaining patience finally ran out. He raised an eyebrow and squinted slightly at Ruby Sullivan. "Are you happy seeing me like this?"

Ruby Sullivan blinked, tightly pursing her lips as she shook her head, "Mr. Sterling, I’m concerned about you."

Ethan Sterling rolled his eyes at her and muttered softly, "For whom do you think I got beaten up? It’s so inexplicable." After saying this, he strode forward, waving his hand without turning back, "I’m leaving."

Ruby Sullivan couldn’t help but ask, "What did you just say?" But the other party walked straight ahead without looking back, quickly getting in the car and disappearing from her view.

She felt there was something fishy about this, but since she couldn’t get any answers by asking, she thought that with Ethan Sterling’s temper, he would tell her when he wanted to, and she stopped overthinking.

An hour passed, and when Honey noticed Seth had not arrived yet, she begged her mom to call him. Only then did Ruby Sullivan find out that Seth was accompanying Rachel Lawson for a check-up on the third floor.

In the morning, Rachel Lawson’s leg had already deflated. She usually took care to exercise and had instinctively protected herself when she fell, so it wasn’t too serious. But Ethan Sterling insisted that she undergo a comprehensive check-up, so she thought she might as well get it done since she had to go to the hospital anyway.

She just didn’t expect Ruby Sullivan to find out. Her eyes darted around nervously, unable to think of a lie, so she truthfully admitted she had accidentally fallen down the stairs.

Ruby Sullivan thought that falling from the second floor wasn’t anything unusual, but Rachel Lawson seemed too anxious in her response. She thought of Ethan Sterling’s injuries and became more alert, "Vivian, did something happen last night?"

She had been feeling dazed these past few days, as if it wasn’t real. Although Ethan Sterling was trying to play the role of a gentle and considerate husband in front of her, the nicer he was, the more uneasy she felt.

Ruby Sullivan feared that missing a small detail would lead to an unbearable price for her future self.

She knew her anxiety was making her overly sensitive, but she couldn’t help it.

Rachel Lawson didn’t want to meddle in her two sons’ relationships. Her own love life was a mess when she was young, and she didn’t want to suffer the same in young people’s stories again. She had it very clear in her mind that many things needed to be experienced personally, and that was her attitude toward all three children.

So, when faced with Ruby Sullivan’s pressing questions, she was momentarily stunned, awkwardly pulling at the corners of her mouth and forgetting how to smile, making it seem even more suspicious.

"What could happen at home?" she said, then hurried away to play with Honey and Seth, not daring to chat with Ruby Sullivan anymore.

Ruby Sullivan frowned more tightly, feeling more curious. The more they didn’t want her to know, the more she wanted to find out the truth. Even if she couldn’t get answers now, she’d wait for the opportunity to find out.

However, Rachel Lawson never gave her another chance until after lunch, when everyone was together. As Rachel went home to rest, Ruby Sullivan seized the opportunity to approach Seth.

This morning, Seth had promised Dad he wouldn’t tell Ruby Sullivan about it, so he felt really troubled when faced with her questioning, "Mom..." he mumbled softly, still not quite used to the term, "Why don’t you ask Uncle Don instead? I really can’t say."

When she was napping with Seth and Honey, she received a call from Cindy’s assistant. Due to an allergic reaction, Cindy’s face developed pustules. Initially, she didn’t think much of it and planned to finish her advertisement shoot before dealing with it, but today the pustules started to show signs of ulceration, causing her whole face to feel like it was on fire during makeup.

Now she is in the hospital, but the doctor only prescribed antibiotics and advised rest.

"Wenny, do you know any reliable doctors here in Ariston? With Emma’s current situation, if her condition isn’t stabilized quickly, we’re afraid her face won’t be saved."

Ruby Sullivan already got off the bed in a panic, "Don’t worry, I’ll figure something out right away." She said this and hung up the phone, sitting on the bed to calm down for a few minutes before calling Nathaniel.

"Nathaniel, do you know any doctors who can treat facial allergies?" she asked anxiously.

Nathaniel had just finished a rhinoplasty surgery and hadn’t finished his meal. "What happened?" After listening to her explanation, he immediately called Cindy to come to the hospital.

Ruby Sullivan arrived at the hospital before Cindy, and Nathaniel had already changed and was waiting at the hospital entrance.

"Can your hospital even handle allergies?"

Nathaniel looked at her suspicious expression with dissatisfaction, raising his hand to lightly tap her head, "Are you doubting your brother’s capabilities now?"

"I’m not doubting your skills, just your hospital." Ruby Sullivan sighed. If Cindy’s face isn’t treated, it would affect the concurrent promotion after Ariston’s listing, and she was, after all, Ethan Sterling’s sister. Even without business cooperation, she definitely needed to help with this.

"Don’t worry, the task you’ve given me won’t go wrong." He recklessly ruffled her hair, just like he used to.

Just then, a business van stopped beside them, and Emma’s agent in Celestia jumped out of the vehicle, "Wenny, Emma’s situation isn’t good now. How’s this hospital’s confidentiality?"

Nathaniel gave her a glance, directly going to pull open the rear door, but he couldn’t, so he resignedly knocked on the window, "Let me in."

The agent was bewildered, "Who are you?"

Ruby Sullivan quickly explained, "This is my friend. He knows Emma, and he’s going to handle this matter." Although she didn’t know how Nathaniel would solve it yet, she knew he wouldn’t have volunteered unless he had a solution.

At this moment, Cindy finally lowered the car window.

She had her face thoroughly covered with a face-kini and was wearing a baseball cap. Revealing her face was immediately shocking, as she glared at Nathaniel fiercely, "You’re not going to swap my face, are you?"

Nathaniel couldn’t be bothered with her, gesturing for her to unlock the car, and after getting in, he finally gave a lazy smile, "Relax, your face is so valuable, I’ll definitely recover it for you." After saying this, he stared at her frightening appearance in disdain, "Hurry up and take off that ghastly thing, are you afraid your face isn’t rotting fast enough?"

Cindy rolled her eyes at him, feeling a bit nasal and sour. Of course she was the most scared when her face suddenly turned out like this!

If it couldn’t be cured, she’d retire and never show herself again!
