CHAPTER 465: CHAPTER 465: OLIVE BRANCH

The current problem, though quite troublesome, doesn’t actually seem like a problem to Ethan Sterling. During the years he aggressively expanded The Sterling Group, he had seen plenty of storms. It’s just that he can’t conveniently travel abroad now to directly solve those issues, and handling things from afar inevitably results in less efficiency and effectiveness.

Three days remain until Rhonda Sullivan’s wedding. He certainly doesn’t care whether this woman gets married or not, but he absolutely cannot let Ruby Sullivan attend that ridiculous wedding alone. Besides, Nirvana has recently faced quite a few issues; even if she hasn’t signaled for help, he hopes to stay in the country, ready to lend her a hand anytime, or... just grabbing lunch together and hugging her would be nice.

Mr. Sterling obviously doesn’t know that Ms. Sullivan’s seemingly unusual attitude is entirely due to her concern for him.

In the afternoon, Ruby Sullivan was very satisfied after reviewing the design Luke submitted. She immediately instructed someone to contact the factory and rush production. By now, most problems related to the insider incident have been solved, with Phoebe Lawson being the exception.

There still isn’t any evidence proving she betrayed the company.

However, it seems Phoebe Lawson’s days aren’t going so well either.

At this moment, she was just called to the HR department, doubting what she heard.

The HR manager, Lisa, smiled warmly, "Yes, it’s as Mr. Sullivan instructed. Once this project ends, you’ll be informed not to come to work anymore."

Since leaving Nirvana, Phoebe Lawson had been waiting for the formal appointment from this side, but didn’t expect to receive such a notification. She couldn’t accept the reality and slammed the table, "I’m Miss’s chief perfumer; without me, this company is finished!"

Lisa wasn’t fazed by her furious reaction. Previously, she worked at The Sullivan Group headquarters,

She continued to smile gently, "You can call Mr. Sullivan, but she’s been busy preparing for the wedding lately. She probably doesn’t have time to deal with your issue. Maybe you can wait... two or three months after she finishes her honeymoon to find her."

Phoebe Lawson frowned at her, face full of anger and frustration with nowhere to vent it. She stormed back to the lab, shut off the computer, and walked out while calling Rhonda Sullivan; when Rhonda saw it was her, she hung up and directly blocked her.

Right now, all Rhonda cares about is getting married well; she has no mood for dealing with such nonsense.

Phoebe Lawson, utterly helpless for the moment, grew even angrier, shouting like a madwoman in the elevator lobby.

She needs a platform to surpass Ruby Sullivan, and finding her resentful sister to rely on seemed the best choice. But why have things turned out this way? Rhonda, that stupid pig, deserved such a miserable situation!

On the afternoon before the wedding, Rhonda Sullivan deliberately called Ruby Sullivan to talk about Phoebe Lawson. Of course, she didn’t expect this matter to fundamentally change their relationship, but she also wanted to show goodwill temporarily.

Ruby was slightly surprised by the other’s attitude and bluntly warned, "You better not try to cause me trouble."

The next morning, Ruby Sullivan and Ethan Sterling headed to the hotel hosting the wedding.

She watched the similar setup and decoration inside the hotel and couldn’t help recalling Dina Finn’s wedding,

After the Finn Family declined, Dina seemed vanished as if into thin air, wondering if she’s doing well now.

Compared to Dina, Rhonda was evidently more dedicated to her wedding, at least preparing rooms and lavish breakfast for every early-arriving guest.

When she arrived at the makeup room, Jack’s sister was also there, becoming slightly excited upon seeing her enter.

Rhonda smiled and introduced in English, "This is Jack’s sister, K; this is my sister, Ruby Sullivan."

K looked at her idol with shining eyes, seemingly forgetting to consider Rhonda’s mood, directly switched to French, "Oh, Wenny, I really didn’t expect to become family with you, I love your perfume!"

After speaking, she approached wanting to hug Ruby, but suddenly paused before her, cautiously asking, "Is it okay?"

"Of course." Ruby could see the genuine enthusiasm in her eyes, just like her brother, nothing makes one happier than meeting someone who appreciates you. After hugging her, Ruby took out a bottle of "Angel’s Smile" from her bag to give to her, "Hope you like it."

"Oh my god, thank you." Holding it, K was both surprised and delighted, "I’ll keep it safe in my bag." Turning around, she carefully stored the perfume in her bag, then returned smiling, "Actually, I already bought one myself, but this one you gave me, I’ll treasure."

Rhonda watched the two chatting away in French, feeling a bit complex,

On one hand, she felt a little jealous of her sister-in-law’s enthusiasm as they hadn’t communicated much because of a language barrier, and she came to the makeup room early today mainly to meet Ruby.

On the other hand, seeing Ruby being so generous to her new family, she felt a bit grateful, truly reluctant to admit yet having to.

Rhonda thought it might be pointless keeping them here, so she simply asked if they were hungry, K immediately chatted with Ruby about the delicious breakfast here, and the two left the makeup room happily to eat.

Rhonda let out a long sigh of relief, "Finally some peace." Though she seemed quite disdainful, she actually felt much more relaxed.

Before Ruby’s appearance, she worried she might not show up, or... wouldn’t arrive early at all, something like that.
