Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!
Chapter 515: Aidan Sinclair Is Angry
CHAPTER 515: CHAPTER 515: AIDAN SINCLAIR IS ANGRY
Stella Jennings’s smile froze bit by bit, and she didn’t respond immediately to Ruby Sullivan’s suggestion, "Let me discuss it with my agent tomorrow."
Ruby Sullivan frowned, sensing something was wrong, and said seriously, "You can’t wait for something like this. If you don’t report it to the police right away, I’ll call Aidan Sinclair and have him come over now." As she spoke, she took out her phone. Though there was a hint of threat in her tone, she wasn’t joking.
Stella Jennings anxiously lunged to grab her phone, "You can’t tell Aidan Sinclair!" Seeing Ruby Sullivan staring at her, she said helplessly, "I guess my agent already knows who it is."
She spoke while lowering her head, tugging weakly and helplessly at the corner of the pillow in her arms.
"What’s going on?"
Stella Jennings bit her lip, "It’s nothing... really, it’s nothing. I’ll endure it; it will pass. My agent is the best at Morningstar, and she must know it’s nothing, which is why she told me not to take it to heart. Besides, it’s just a few dead rats. I’m not afraid at all. When I was younger, I lived in the countryside with my grandma, and there were lots of rats in the side rooms. Every time we cleaned, I would see them. I’m not afraid at all."
She continued to tug at the pillow, muttering a lot of words, but she didn’t dare to lift her head to look at Ruby Sullivan, as if she was very afraid of meeting her eyes.
Ruby Sullivan looked at her cowardly appearance, feeling incredibly sorry for her. She raised her arm to hug her shoulders, tilting her head to touch hers, "Holly, you don’t need to be afraid. Aidan Sinclair and I are your friends. When you encounter such things, you can feel free to tell us and accept our help."
Stella Jennings had always thought the gentle scent on Stella was particularly comforting, and at times like this, it made her feel extraordinarily at ease.
"I... okay, I don’t want to bother you guys. You and uncle are both very busy. Besides you, I can only listen to my agent, so..." Stella Jennings giggled foolishly, actually afraid of crying at this moment, making Ruby Sullivan even sadder.
After a while, Stella Jennings shared her suspicions.
When it happened the first time, she was terrified and immediately contacted her agent. Ellie, her agent, was also scared and first asked about her safety. The security system in that community was particularly good, and the property management cooperated with the investigation, finding surveillance footage from that day, but the perpetrator was obviously a repeat offender and covered their face with a baseball cap.
The police said they would continue to investigate and advised her to stay safe. Ellie said that relying on the police was useless; even though it was filed, they wouldn’t dedicate much manpower to such a small case. She said it was too dangerous to remain in the dark and assured her she would keep investigating and told her not to worry.
Later, when the agent found her again, her attitude had changed, saying that the police had caught the person, who was supposedly a hater of hers, so after detaining them, they released the person, claiming nothing would happen again.
But a few days later, the same thing happened again. This time, the agent started arranging a car for her, telling her not to go out alone or answer the door to strangers. As for anything else, she didn’t mention it.
"I also asked if we could report it again, maybe it was still that same person, but my agent just said it was useless, told me not to make a fuss over nothing, and that it wouldn’t be good if reporters found out. Plus, I’m about to start filming a drama, and it might affect the crew, so she told me to keep things quiet."
Stella Jennings finished speaking and stopped tormenting the poor pillow, instead poking at it with her fingers. She didn’t have the capability, so she could only bully the pillow.
Ruby Sullivan almost swore after hearing this. What kind of agent is this? Is Aidan Sinclair’s company nurturing grandfathers? Though she had never been a star, she had seen Emma’s agent, who was even more attentive than one’s own mother.
"Holly, I must let Aidan Sinclair know about this. He’s the big boss at Morningstar. I think there’s an issue with your agent."
"But my contract is so good, and I’m a key talent being groomed by the company. I feel my agent won’t neglect me..." Stella Jennings was also afraid that if this matter wasn’t handled properly, it would be awkward to work with her agent afterward.
"I don’t really understand your industry, but I feel there’s definitely a problem. In any case, let’s have Aidan Sinclair come over first."
Stella Jennings was also unsure about how to handle this, but seeing Ruby Sullivan so firm, she hesitated no more, "I’ll listen to you." Compared to the agent, Ruby Sullivan and Aidan Sinclair definitely had her best interests at heart, free from personal motives.
A few minutes later, Aidan Sinclair and Ethan Sterling came knocking at the door, but when Ruby Sullivan opened the door with a stern face, both of them had a bad feeling.
Ruby Sullivan had them sit on the sofa and asked Stella Jennings to repeat what had just been said. Aidan Sinclair’s face turned dark upon hearing it.
"Got it, I’ll handle this." He said icily, getting up to leave. This reaction was unlike his usual noisy demeanor, like Ethan Sterling’s spirit had possessed him for a moment.
Only Ethan Sterling wasn’t surprised at all, silently showing sympathy for those who had bullied Stella Jennings in his mind.
Aidan Sinclair was truly angry, to the point of being too infuriated to speak.
"Uncle!" Stella Jennings instinctively got up to grab Aidan Sinclair’s arm, "What are you going to do?"
She didn’t know what Aidan Sinclair was going to do, but his expression was too scary. She worried that if she let him leave like this, he might commit murder that night.
"I’m going to solve this problem for you right now." He looked at Stella Jennings for a moment and then looked away; his eyes had already turned red.
He was concerned Stella Jennings might feel pressured. When signing the contract, he only instructed her to be a key talent. If there were any problems with the contract, he would handle them. The boss at Morningstar thought there was some business cooperation with The Jennings Family, which was why he invested so heavily, and didn’t dare ask further.
She would face some opposition at Morningstar, which was normal. The workplace is like that, especially in the fiercely competitive entertainment industry. A company’s resources are limited; if someone else grabs them, you’ll naturally have less. Without fighting, one can’t survive.
But he hadn’t expected the person he had chosen would be neglected by the company, and when such a thing happened, the response was "Just endure it!"
Even if another artist faced such a situation and he knew about it, he wouldn’t stand idly by, let alone when it’s Stella Jennings! His heart was close to breaking.
Stella Jennings noticed something was wrong with him, seeing more and more that something wasn’t right, "Uncle, I still want to continue working with Ellie! Also, the company can’t know about your relationship with me!"
There was already enough gossip. If more people found out she and Aidan Sinclair were friends, she wasn’t afraid of hearing more gossip herself, but was seriously worried about dragging Aidan Sinclair down!
By then, people would say Aidan Sinclair must be blind to have taken a liking to such an undeserving person!
