CHAPTER 516: CHAPTER 516: AFRAID OF CAUSING TROUBLE

Aidan Sinclair didn’t want to explain anything to Stella Jennings. It wasn’t that he was too lazy to explain to her, but rather he was too ashamed to explain. Wasn’t he supposed to be her strong support? Yet he let her suffer so much grievance without knowing!

Seeing she couldn’t hold him back any longer, Stella hurriedly signaled to Ruby Sullivan with her eyes, "Wenny, say something, please help me persuade him. If the company finds out about my relationship with him, who knows what rumors might spread!"

Ruby Sullivan agreed with Stella, "Aidan Sinclair, did you hear that?"

Aidan Sinclair frowned tightly, wishing he could squash a mosquito.

"It’s already past nine in the evening? Where do you plan to go to help Holly resolve the issue?"

"I want to ask Ellie how she’s managing the newcomers."

"And then? How will Stella continue working with Ellie?"

Aidan Sinclair finally couldn’t hold back, "Why even mix with this crap? I left Holly in her care because I trusted her professional skills. Now that she’s done this, does she still expect to stay at Morningstar? Out!"

"No way!" Stella became anxious, "Ellie has brought up many top-tier artists. Morningstar can do without me, but it absolutely cannot do without an agent like Ellie!" She spoke decisively.

During her time at the company, although she hadn’t received many scheduled events, she had heard a lot about the various contacts and was well aware of Ellie’s legends. In fact, she admired her agent very much.

Everyone at the company said it was overkill for Ellie to manage a rookie like her. Stella had always hoped to shine one day so Ellie could also walk with pride. Even though she thought Ellie was at fault this time, she still trusted Ellie’s judgment. Besides, wasn’t her person fine? Except for someone sending dead mice, nothing else had happened.

What if Aidan Sinclair’s interference messed everything up?

Aidan Sinclair saw Stella’s attitude and got even angrier, feeling Ellie didn’t deserve this kind of defense for her.

"Let go, don’t worry, after kicking her out, I’ll find you a better agent. At worst, I’ll set up a studio for you. We have money, no need to worry about these little things."

"Oh, Uncle, can’t you just listen to me properly?"

Ruby Sullivan got anxious too, "Aidan Sinclair, get your brain back, alright?"

This sentence indeed knocked some sense into him; a brain is a good thing, but once it involves Stella’s matters, it seems his brain short-circuits and gets all muddled up.

Aidan Sinclair took a deep breath, reluctantly calming himself down, and patted Stella’s hand, "Alright, I got it."

Stella also caught her breath. In this short span, she had been made to break out in a sweat by him, "I think, Ellie must have her difficulties too. In the past, she was very protective of me."

Ruby Sullivan thought for a moment and said, "Holly, call Ellie, tell her to come here tonight no matter what. Say you received another mouse and are really scared. In any case, make it sound serious and have her come over for a face-to-face talk."

"Maybe I will just call her directly." Aidan Sinclair said as he took out his phone, "You are Stella’s older sister, visiting her today, and you got caught in this dead mouse incident, so you called me over. I... don’t know Stella, just my relationship with you alone is enough to make me angry." He quickly crafted a story.

Ruby Sullivan found it good, "Then you should call."

Aidan Sinclair dialed the number, the call was quickly answered from the other side, "Mr. Sinclair, is something the matter?"

"I’m at Stella’s place, come over here." Aidan Sinclair’s voice was cold and frosty, enough to give the person on the other end a chill over the phone.

Ellie knew this wasn’t a small matter and had guessed the reason in her heart, only that Aidan Sinclair calling her was indeed a surprise, "Okay, I’ll head over right away." After saying this, she hung up the phone, turned around and gave up going home, heading straight to Stella’s neighborhood.

Before Ellie arrived, Ruby told Aidan Sinclair to go home and change into something casual. The guy was waiting to eat a hotpot, had gone home and dressed super casually, and hadn’t changed clothes when he came over.

A few minutes later, Aidan Sinclair appeared again, dressed in a suit, with a cold face, looking at Stella with no expression, scaring the little girl into being a bit speechless.

Before going to the living room, Stella tugged Aidan Sinclair’s sleeve and asked softly, "Uncle, are you mad at me?"

"Hmm."

Stella’s eyes dimmed, "I’m sorry, it’s been so long, I haven’t accomplished much, and I keep causing you trouble."

Aidan Sinclair turned back to look at her, speaking coldly, "I’m angry about your current attitude. I’ve never blamed you for causing trouble, but I really think, encountering such a thing, you dare not to tell!" Seeing Stella’s timid look, he couldn’t bear to speak too harshly, saying helplessly, "Even if you don’t tell me, you should tell Wenny."

"I... understand." Stella responded softly.

Aidan Sinclair patted her head, his heart softening, "Alright, let’s wait for her to come and we’ll talk."

Before Ellie came, everyone in the living room didn’t know what to say, the silence made the surrounding atmosphere heavy and uncomfortable. Stella was being pensive, feeling upset, still thinking she was the one causing trouble for everyone. Originally, it was supposed to be a happy evening; Ruby Sullivan and Ethan Sterling were supposed to be with Honey, yet now they were held up because of her matter.

Over forty minutes later, Ellie finally arrived. Seeing so many people at Stella’s house, she was momentarily puzzled.

Ruby Sullivan proactively introduced herself, "Hello, I’m Wenny, Stella’s best friend."

Ellie looked at her, the face known for being decisive also showed surprise, "Hello." She didn’t expect Nirvana’s CEO to be Stella’s best friend. No wonder at Mrs. Sinclair’s birthday banquet last time, Stella got a separate invitation card. She always thought it was connections within Stella’s circles, thinking everyone from the company would attend, not knowing it was made special, so she didn’t tell Stella.

Later, hearing that Aidan Sinclair danced the opening dance with Stella, she thought it was Aidan Sinclair’s doing, and even advised Stella to keep a distance from him.

After a few were seated on the sofa, Ruby Sullivan questioned sternly, "Why didn’t you report to the police when Stella received a dead mouse?"

"I’ve reported it to the police, they’ve been investigating..."

Ruby Sullivan heard the same old excuse and interrupted her speech sharply, "Then give me the person’s information, I’ll handle it."

Ellie was stunned for a moment, hesitating as she said, "The police won’t give me personal information. I also think fanatics and sasaeng fans are too common now, not wanting to blow the matter out of proportion."

"Do you want me to personally go to the police station and search the case records?" Aidan Sinclair asked coldly.

Ellie froze, momentarily speechless.

Ruby Sullivan continued, "I came to see Holly today and just happened to run into the incident of receiving a dead mouse. If I hadn’t encountered it, she wouldn’t even tell us. She’s only sixteen, she needs guidance for many things. As her agent, do you really want her to endure it all in silence?"

Ellie hung her head, knowing she couldn’t defend herself in any way.

"I’ve been working hard to resolve this issue."
