Chapter 338: Thousands of Memories (2)
CHAPTER 338: THOUSANDS OF MEMORIES (2)
Georgia’s POV
Damn! These pictures are something I wouldn’t take or even keep in my phone. What changed?
It looked like I had changed drastically in just a few months after getting pushed by Nancy and getting cheated on by Raymond. And from the number of pictures and videos of Nick in my phone, I must have really loved him. I was not like this with Raymond.
I kept scrolling. And then there was one—a picture of his back, completely naked, the towel had clearly fallen off. I stared at his toned back and oh so perfect ass.
"Oh my freaking God—" I clapped a hand over my mouth, my cheeks burning hotter than the hospital lights. "Why do I even have this? Who even takes—?!"
My heart was still pounding in pure mortification when the door suddenly burst open.
"I asked the nurse!" Nick said, sounding breathless. "You’re not on a soft diet. You can eat anything you want except anything with alcohol and caffeine—"
I yelped in shock, my phone slipping right out of my hand on the floor with a loud thud.
Nick blinked, startled by my reaction. "Hey, are you okay?"
"I—uh—yeah! Fine! Totally fine! Just—uh—dropped something!" I squeaked, trying not to look like a woman who’d just seen her man’s naked butt in full HD.
He took a step closer, fast, concern knitting his brows as he bent down to pick it up.
"No, no, don’t—" I blurted out, reaching forward in panic.
Too late.
The phone lit up the moment he touched it—and there, bright and unavoidable on the screen, was the photo.
Nick froze.
My heart stopped.
And that was how my first day of amnesia recovery turned into a full-blown disaster.
Please, God, let the ground swallow me whole right this moment!
"Wait—don’t—!" I squeaked, reaching out in pure panic.
But of course, fate had other plans.
Nick’s brows furrowed for half a second... then slowly arched. A smirk curved his lips—that kind of smirk that screamed I got caught.
"Wow," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "I don’t really look at my ass, but damn... I have a good one."
I felt my soul leave my body. "N-Nick! Give it to me!"
To my absolute horror, he didn’t. He scrolled up and up, up, he goes!
"Oh my God!" I gasped, covering my face with both hands. "Don’t look at that!"
He chuckled—that deep, throaty laugh that used to sound terrifying but now just made my stomach flip.
Wait, was it from my memory?
"My dear wife," he teased, shaking his head as if I was the one who did something unbelievable, "I didn’t know you were keeping pictures of me like these. I should take yours, too. It’s so unfair that it’s only you keeping lewd naked pictures of my body, don’t you think?"
I could practically hear the smirk in his voice, even without looking.
"Nick!" I shouted again, mortified beyond belief. My entire face was on fire. "Give. It. Back!"
Finally, he turned around—smug grin, eyes sparkling like he was enjoying
every second of my public humiliation.
"Here," he said, handing me the phone like he was doing me some great favor. "Make sure you don’t let Katie play on your phone. Anyway, I’ll head out to buy you something. What do you want?"
He said it so casually—like he didn’t just see his own naked butt on my screen!
I glared at him, clutching my phone like a life preserver. "Surprise me. If you really are my husband, then you should know what I like to eat."
"Alright," he said with that damn smile of his. "I’ll buy your favorite then."
I turned my back to him, trying to calm the racing of my heart. Maybe if I ignored him, he’d actually leave before my embarrassment killed me—
But then I felt it—a soft breath against my ear, warm and far too close. I froze.
"If you ever want to add more fresh naked pictures or videos of me into your collection," he murmured, voice low enough to send a shiver down my spine, "don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll gladly pose for you. You can even paint me nude for hours if you want."
Before I could even form words, he pressed a quick kiss on my cheek.
I turned around, eyes wide. "You—!"
But he was already halfway out the door, waving at me like nothing happened.
"Unbelievable. So annoying! Pervert!" I muttered, throwing my pillow at the door the moment it closed.
It hit with a soft thud, and I slumped back against the bed, covering my face with both hands.
My heart wouldn’t stop racing.
God help me... I was so doomed.
Wait... are we normally like this before? Because if we are, I’ll be damned—I must’ve been living in a romantic comedy and no one told me.
Hold on.
Did he just say naked pictures of him?
My hands started shaking as I grabbed my phone and hurriedly unlocked it. "No way," I muttered, scrolling through my gallery like a detective on a caffeine rush. I swiped and swiped, all the way to the bottom, but—nothing.
I huffed, glaring at the door as if it had personally betrayed me. "That devil! What does he think I am, a pervert?" I grumbled. "I’m sure that one butt-naked picture of him was just an accident... or maybe a joke I made! Good thing I can’t remember, or else I would’ve smacked that smug face of his!"
Still, curiosity got the best of me. I went back and found that picture again. And okay—fine. In fairness to him, the man had a really good ass. Like, sculpted-by-angels kind of good.
I sighed dramatically, scrolling through the rest. There were more photos of him in a suit... He’s handsome in those pictures, I must admit. More pictures of him smiling... and then ones of us.
Intimate ones.
There was one where he was holding the phone, capturing a kiss between us, my hands tangled in his hair. Some pictures we were in the bathtub, bubbles barely covering what needed to be covered. And one of us cuddling under the sheets, faces close, half-asleep but smiling. Some were funny, while others were serious.
"My goodness," I whispered, covering my face with one hand, feeling the heat on my face. "Why did I even take these? Who takes pictures like this?"
For a moment, I hovered my thumb over the delete button. I long-pressed all the... questionable lewd ones, ready to erase the evidence.
But then, I hesitated.
"What if... I actually liked these pictures back then?" I murmured. "What if they meant something?"
Before I could change my mind, I created a new folder, labeled it Work Files, and hid all the photos there. Deep, deep inside another folder.
I exhaled, sinking back against the pillows. "Great," I muttered, rolling my eyes at myself. "Now I’m hiding stuff like a teenager with a crush. I really don’t understand myself anymore."
But despite my dramatic sigh, I couldn’t stop the small smile tugging at my lips. Because deep down... I wasn’t sure if I wanted to understand—or if I just wanted to feel that way about him again.
