Chapter b183 /b

Caroline’s PO.V

I sat across from Alpha Camden, my mind racing as I tried to piece everything together.

“But…Alpha Camden, this seems impossible,” I began, my voice shaky but determined. “For so long, we couldn’t make sense of the whole Lunar Sisters theory. I mean, Aurora’s human. How could she possibly be tied to me in that way, right? There’s no way she could be my Lunar Sister, not with her being… human.”

Alpha Camden leaned forward, his eyes locked on mine. “But you’re starting to think there’s something more to bit/bb, /baren’t you?”

I nodded slowly, trying to keep my thoughts in order as I spoke. “Yes. At first, I couldn’t wrap my head around bit/b. But now, everything we’ve learned, everything that’s been happening, it might actually make sense.” I paused, my voice growing more intense with each word.

“If it was a witch, someone tied to use magic, then that could exin everything. Maybe that person was connected to Aurora, in some way. And that’s why they targeted her father, hoping he might know where she is. It’s like we’ve been looking at this from the wrong angle all along.”

Before I could continue, Harmona interrupted me, her voice sharp and full of authority. “Hold on a second, Caroline,” she said, her eyes narrowing.

“Witches aren’t easily detectable, you know that. It’s not something we can just figure outb, /bbespecially /bnot until they turn eighteen. And by then, it’s often toote.”

I shot her a look, frustration building in my chest. “I know that, Harmona. Believe me, I do. But this is different. Everything about this feels different. There’s more to Aurora’s story than we’ve been told. I can feel it.”

Alpha Camden held up a hand, his gaze shifting between us. “I understand both of you. But we can’t jump to conclusions just yet. We need to figure out how we can confirm this, without exposing anyone to unnecessary danger. We need facts, not just theories.”

I bit my lip, feeling the weight of the situation. It was all connected, I was sure of it, but I didn’t know how to prove it without risking everything.

“I get it,” I muttered, looking away. “I just… I have this gut feeling that we’re getting closer. And it’s terrifying.”

“That’s why a witch doesn’t get their powers until their eighteenth birthday.” Harmona exined. “They need to be somewhat emotionally mature, enough to discern right from wrong, to get their powers.”

I sat there, listening intently as Harmona spoke, trying to make sense of the wordsing from her mouth. She exined, almost as if it were a naturalw, that just like how a wolf finds their mate at eighteen, a witch woul awaken to their powers at the same age. But until Aurora hit that milestone, we wouldn’t know for sure. A knot formed in my stomach.

“So, it’s really a matter of waiting for her to turn eighteen?” bI /basked, the uncertainty creeping into my voice. Harmona nodded firmly.

bYes/b, Caroline. The bpowers /bare tied to age, and until that happens, there’s bno /bbway /bbto /bbknow /bif she has them or beven /bbif /bshe’ll be able to harness themb,/b” Harmona confirmed, her voice steady but full of bunspoken /bweight.

Jade, who had been quiet up until then, leaned forward, his brows furrowing. “But what if bshe’s/b… a bhalf/b–blood? asked, the question hanging in the air. b“/bbIs /bit possible for her powers to stay dormant in that bcase/bb? /bHer parents were both human, after all.”

There was a long pause before Harmona replied, her gaze narrowing. “Half–bloods don’t exist when ites to witches. You either are or you aren’t. Powers can’t stay dormant, not really. Even if they seem absentb, /bbthe /bbmagic /bbis /bstill there, waiting to reveal itself. At eighteen, no matter how weak or strong they are, a witch’s powers balways /b
