Claiming the Throne of Gods, Starting from the Rebirth of Nezha
Chapter 265: The Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect Arrive Together
CHAPTER 265: CHAPTER 265: THE TWELVE GOLDEN IMMORTALS OF THE CHAN SECT ARRIVE TOGETHER
Lv Zhuer is now a cultivator at the God Absorption Realm, but in the evenings, she still makes the bed for Nezha.
Just looking at her waist, as broad as a bucket, from behind, Nezha could only sigh:
Things have changed, and past events will never return. If you continue to eat so recklessly, how will you ever get married in the future?
"Young master! I went to see Uncle Master today. He said that I’m fat and told me to eat less in the future!"
Seeing the glimmering tears in the young girl’s eyes, Nezha sighed in his heart and said, "Why don’t we stop using the Five Elements Style Technique and just run wherever we need to go, how does that sound?"
"Why?"
"To endure suffering is a kind of cultivation, making one superior."
Lv Zhuer’s eyes looked like glass marbles soaked in morning dew, covered by the light blue mist unique to infants, her eyelashes flickering with a pure gaze.
She asked, "Young master, do you also think I’m too fat?"
"No, absolutely not. I swear, it’s just another form of cultivation."
Seeing Nezha like this, Lv Zhuer agreed.
...
After a few days of recuperation, Jiang Ziya’s body finally fully recovered. The next day, he convened with Nezha and others to discuss breaking the formation.
Everyone knew how formidable the Ten Absolute Formation was; they all shirked responsibility, not willing to make a move.
Nezha, unwilling to argue with them, leaned against a corner pillar, playing with a large locust he had just caught.
In the War of Deities, the Chan Sect supported Xiqi. Although the Jie Sect had orders not to intervene, the few that did all stood with Chengtang.
Whoever lost would add more names to the Investiture of the Gods. Now that Yin Jiao held power, Chengtang was ascendant. If Xiqi doesn’t want to lose, reinforcements must come quickly.
It might even be Yuanshi Tianzun personally issuing orders to expedite.
After a brief argument, Yang Jian reported, "Master Huang Long from the Jade Cave of Erxian Mountain has arrived."
Huang Long Perfected, wearing a bright yellow Daoist robe, with a wooden sword on his back, emanating an immortal aura, entered and greeted Ziya. "Junior Brother, long time no see. Today, I’ve come to Xiqi to help break the Ten Absolute Formation."
Seeing his Kunlun senior brother, Jiang Ziya was overjoyed and rushed to greet him.
After chatting for a while, Huang Long Perfected said, "Junior Brother, don’t worry. Though the Ten Absolute Formation is formidable, we’ve restrained ourselves from killing. Now that we intervene in the world, our brothers will soon arrive."
Nezha, listening from the side, found it amusing: on one hand, the Three Teachings stirred up war to have heroes marked in the Investiture of the Gods; on the other, they used the war to dispel their own killing karma, turning a wrong into a merit.
What a brilliant scheme.
Soon enough, Yang Jian reported again, "Chi Jingzi from Yunxiao Cave of Taihua Mountain, Guangchengzi from Peach Garden Cave of Nine Immortals Mountain, Ju Liusun from Feiyun Cave of Xiaolong Mountain, Master Taiyi from Golden Light Cave of Qianyuan Mountain, Spirit Treasure Great Master from Yuan Yang Cave of Kongtong Mountain, Manjusri from Cloud Jiao Cave of Five Dragon Mountain, Master Puxian from White Crane Cave of Jiugong Mountain, Cihai Daoist from Luojia Cave of Putuo Mountain, Master Yuding from Golden Mist Cave of Jade Spring Mountain, Daoist Master from Jade House Cave of Jinting Mountain, and Qingxu Daoist from Purple Sun Cave of Qingfeng Mountain have all arrived."
With that, the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect had all gathered.
After the immortals drank and discussed, it was Ji Fa’s turn to appear. However, Master Taiyi was nowhere to be found, as was Nezha.
Jiang Ziya knew the estrangement between this ’master and disciple’; noticing their absence, he felt a pang but quickly recovered and resumed chatting with the other brothers.
...
"Nezha, if you stayed inside, it would have been harder to find you," Master Taiyi said calmly. His realm was exceedingly high; though Nezha had reached the Golden Immortal Realm, he was no match.
Nezha remained unflustered, smiling. "Master, if I came out, it’s easier for you to find me."
"Oh, then tell me why I shouldn’t kill you."
Nezha countered, "I wonder why Master insists on killing me."
Master Taiyi replied, "It’s no secret. At first, your existence disrupted the natural process of the Heavenly Dao. Now, the Heavenly Dao is already in chaos; trying to reverse it is unrealistic. However, you have repeatedly ruined things. Keeping you alive might become a heart demon for me in the future."
"I see." Nezha nodded. "But I don’t want to be killed by you."
Master Taiyi sneered, "You overestimate yourself."
He reached out, and the Primordial Energy of heaven and earth formed thin ropes that bound Nezha tightly.
Nezha frowned slightly and strained his muscles. However, the ropes were as tough as tendon, impossible to break with sheer strength.
He stopped struggling and watched as Master Taiyi’s lethal finger neared his brow, sensing death close at hand.
Nezha’s expression didn’t change. "Master, you should know I’m aware of some future events of the Divine Enthronement War."
Master Taiyi sneered without pausing, "And so what if you do? Or don’t? The future is dictated by the Heavenly Way, which is always right.
You say this to distract me?
Let me tell you, I know you have the Nine Dragon Fire Shield. If you ambush me, it might be troublesome. But with my guard up, do you think it could harm me?"
Nezha said, "Master, wouldn’t it matter if your achieved cultivation is rendered useless?"
The finger was now an inch from Nezha’s brow. Master Taiyi’s face darkened. "Nonsense!"
"Nonsense? This Divine Enthronement War is a vortex, a struggle for face and fortune between the two sects that will affect thousands of years.
It’s just the beginning, and the Chan Sect has sent twelve Golden Immortals. Eventually, it’ll drag in the Quasi-Saints and Sect Leaders of both sects. Your strength might be formidable, but deep involvement makes you but a leaf in a storm, easily capsized.
Nonsense or not, does Master truly not see?"
This made Master Taiyi hesitate. "You’re not lying, but thinking this would make me spare you is delusional. Today, I’ll capture you, scour your soul, and learn everything."
Before the words finished, he moved again, his right hand like a dragon clawing at Nezha’s head!
Though sudden, Nezha wasn’t surprised. As the space around him shifted, the Primordial Energy ropes remained, but Nezha disappeared.
Master Taiyi’s hand grabbed nothing. In a burst of anger, the ground around him cracked like a spider’s web.
His expression darkened, he clenched his fists and uttered, "Eight-Nine Mystical Techniques!"
The scene shifted, and Nezha was back among the seats. He calmly sat beside Jiang Ziya.
"You’re not dead?"
Nezha looked at him, smiling. "Why would I be dead?"
Jiang Ziya covertly transmitted, "I just checked. Many of the Twelve Golden Immortals want you gone."
Nezha was stunned and replied via transmission, "Really? I only had issues with Master Taiyi. At most, I’d slightly offended Master Yuding and Daoist Master."
"Slight? Three Taiyi Golden Immortals, and that’s not enough?"
Jiang Ziya sighed and transmitted back, "Of my twelve senior brothers, eight want you dead: Guangchengzi, Chi Jingzi, Huang Long Perfected, Master Taiyi, Spirit Treasure Great Master, Master Yuding, Daoist Master, Qingxu Daoist."
As Jiang Ziya transmitted the names, Nezha coldly looked at them. Eight had no grudge, yet wanted to kill him.
It’s good to know, so he wouldn’t be caught alone.
However, the real surprise was the four who didn’t. All later turned to Buddhism for unknown reasons.
These four: Ju Liusun became the future Manjusri, Master Puxian became the future Puxian Bodhisattva, and Cihai Daoist, the renowned future Guanyin Bodhisattva.
As they spoke, the sound of deer cry filled the air, flowers bloomed, and fragrance spread.
Someone else had come.
