CHAPTER 113: YUE XIN’S PLAN

Lin Xuan Qi reminded himself to be better prepared next time when he tried to practice the Daoist Five-Element Cultivation Techniques.

His plan was to see if it worked and if so, he might be able to teach it to those that were close to him.

Glancing around, he remembered the concerned look those at the table had.

Even Liu Shi Shi was concerned about him.

They were the ones that stuck with him when he was starting out.

Lin Xuan Qi wouldn’t mind if he could have more time with them, letting them cultivate with the Daoist Five-Element Cultivation Techniques.

"Go on. The food is getting cold." He prompted them again.

They tucked into the food now that his pale looking face was back to normal.

It didn’t take long for Lin Xuan Qi to finish his food, well before the others.

While he sipped a mouthful of tea from his teacup, Lee He Song brought something up.

"Master Lin, I would like to visit Yue Jie and Yue Xin’s father tomorrow. Would that be fine by you?"

Lin Xuan Qi swallowed his tea, placed the teacup onto the table and said, "Go ahead. The factories and retail shop wouldn’t have much to do the next few days."

It had been promised to them earlier, so he had no qualms about the visit.

He thought for a moment and said, "I might want to pay him a visit too."

Yue Xin might have some plans of her own, so it was best if he could preempt whatever she would plan to do.

Lee He Song nodded his head, "I think my old friend would like to meet you too."

So far, Lin Xuan Qi had treated the sisters fairly, and Lee He Song felt that maybe, just maybe, one of them getting married to him would bring them a brighter future.

And the first step was for their father to meet with Lin Xuan Qi.

His time was numbered, and it was the best he could do for his old friend, Liu Ju Zheng.

No one would be able to look after the sisters when he passed.

"Uncle Lee..." Yue Xin tried to dissuade Lee He Song from having Lin Xuan Qi pay a visit, but she couldn’t think of any good reason.

Yue Jie wasn’t too happy with her, and she stared at Yue Xin, trying to get her to keep quiet.

"Fine... I guess." Yue Xin lowered her head and grumbled to herself.

Lee He Song shook his head and said, "You are no longer a young mistress, best if you grow up.

"Master Lin is benevolent, but that doesn’t mean you can behave like a young mistress."

"Yes, Uncle Lee." Yue Xin said and glanced at Lin Xuan Qi, "I’m sorry, Master Lin."

She had grown enough to know what Lee He Song said was right, so she wasn’t about to argue and throw a tantrum.

As for Master Lin, he was her potential brother-in-law after all.

Maybe she had to be more proactive about it from now on, she thought.

"That’s it then. Remember to buy some gifts for the constables and your father tomorrow." Lin Xuan Qi was glad that Yue Xin understood and said.

"Yes, Master Lin." Yue Jie and Yue Xin nodded their heads.

After dinner ended, everyone went back to their room.

Along his way back, Lin Xuan Qi noticed that the security guards were starting to patrol around the mansion’s compound.

There were also guards standing at the huge wooden gates of the mansion.

The clan was beginning to operate and feel like one, he thought.

And credits to Liu Shi Shi.

She had a playful nature but when it came to work, she was still dependable.

Yue Jie rummaged through her belongings and found what she was looking for.

She took it out from the cabinet and placed it on her palm.

It was a golden lock, inscribed with the words ’prosperous family’.

Precious stones were made into intricate carvings and welded onto the golden lock.

The golden lock was given to her by her mother, as a token for her future husband.

But it was too late for her mother to witness it happening.

Her mother couldn’t stand the blow when her father was banished to jail, and she died after being ill.

Yue Jie decided to gift the golden lock to Lin Xuan Qi.

It was, after all, the most valuable item she had left.

"Sister, what are you doing with the golden lock?" Yue Xin pointed at the golden lock and asked.

"I... I plan to gift the golden lock to Master Lin.

"After all, he is benevolent enough to let us visit father.

"Father had taught us to be reciprocal to those who treat you well." Yue Jie said.

And to her surprise, Yue Xin also nodded her head.

"Why don’t you gift it to him now?" Yue Xin said eagerly, seeing that it was late now.

"Now? It’s late and I might disturb his rest." Yue Jie didn’t know what Yue Xin was up to and said.

"Hmm... You don’t want to be seen giving a wedding gift to Master Lin by others, right?"

Yue Jie’s face blushed when she heard Yue Xin.

Maybe she has a point.

"What are you waiting for? Let’s go." Yue Xin got excited and pushed Yue Jie towards the door.

Yue Jie frowned with her eyebrows locked.

It felt like Yue Xin was pushing her into a pit of fire or something.

Steam rose from the bathtub and Lin Xuan Qi withdrew his hand from the bathtub.

The temperature was optimal.

He couldn’t wait to get into the relaxing bath.

So much had transpired for the day.

After he took off his clothes, he dipped into the bathtub, and the warm water immediately soothed his tired body.

He summoned the information panel of the system from his mind.

Words appeared in his mind the next moment.
