Zhu Jianian was so shocked that she couldn’t find the words to speak.

Behind Zhu Jianian, a SWAT officer gestured to Ji Wei, signaling her not to panic.

Zhu Jianian stumbled, her hand faltering, and the knife grazed Ji Wei’s shoulder.

Ji Wei was wearing a sweater and only felt a slight pang of pain, but there was no bleeding.

The SWAT officers seized the opportunity and swarmed forward, pinning Zhu Jianian to the ground.

"Let me go! I don’t want to go to prison! I wasn’t the one who kidnapped her!"

Zhu Jianian struggled frantically.

One of the SWAT officers quickly took the knife out of her hand, while another pulled out handcuffs.

When Zhu Jianian saw the cold glint of the handcuffs, she shivered in fear.

Suddenly, she went berserk, smashing her head into one of the officers in front of her and lunging recklessly at Ji Wei.

"You wretched woman, I’m going to strangle you!"

Zhu Jianian had completely lost her mind, stretching her hands toward Ji Wei’s neck to choke her.

The scene instantly descended into chaos.

The chair Ji Wei was sitting on toppled backward from Zhu Jianian’s charge, falling to the ground.

Her head struck the floor, and the pain turned her face pale.

Fortunately, Zhu Jianian was quickly subdued, and by the time the handcuffs were secured on her wrists, her expression was one of utter despair.

"Miss Ji, are you alright?" The SWAT team leader helped Ji Wei to her feet and untied the ropes binding her.

"Thank you, I’m okay."

Ji Wei endured the pain and smiled faintly.

Outside the house.

Zhu Jianian was loaded into a police car and taken away.

"Miss Ji, get in the car. We’ll take you home," the SWAT team leader said kindly, opening the car door for her.

Ji Wei nodded.

Suddenly, she felt a faint pain in her lower abdomen and instinctively reached down to rub it.

It was probably caused by the fall earlier.

Ji Wei didn’t think much of it and was about to get into the police car when a familiar Maybach appeared in her line of sight. She froze mid-motion, a subtle smile curling on her lips.

Her Mo Qian had arrived.

Mo Qian pushed open the car door and strode quickly toward her, scanning her up and down before finally exhaling in relief. "Weiwei, do you know how worried I’ve been? From now on, you’re not allowed to go out alone!"

His expression was stern, and regardless of the surrounding SWAT officers, he pulled Ji Wei into his arms with domineering force, holding her tightly.
