Codex Null: Simulation Through Madness
Chapter 47: Inheritance Dimension (2)
CHAPTER 47: INHERITANCE DIMENSION (2)
[Battle broke out. And as more and more people began gathering around the dimension — all of them from the Ravelli family — your situation seemed hopeless. But that wasn’t actually the case.]
[With just a single wave of her hand, Serah signaled Elysia — who then summoned thousands of people to the battlefield. And then, there were Lilith and Selena, who had also brought large numbers of their own followers.]
[The battle quickly turned one-sided, and Serah wanted to enter the dimension, leaving her subordinates to handle the chaos outside.]
[But then, suddenly, a woman appeared, dressed in gothic attire, her doll-like beauty almost surreal, and she blocked your group’s path.]
[Among all of you, her gaze landed first on Selena. She asked if Selena truly wanted to do this, despite the relationship between their families. Then, moving her gaze to Serah, she, questioned, if she was really going to allow the Hollow Sun cult to involve itself in their matters.]
[But the current Selena wasn’t hearing any of it. No words seemed to reach her. She simply told the woman to fuck off.]
[What followed was a heated argument. And then, the woman, Elsa, finally made her move and launched an attack, only to be immediately repelled by Elysia.]
[You stood there, watching the battle unfold between these two powerful women, while three others — Selena, Serah, and Lilith — stood in front of you to shield you from any stray impact. And your gaze locked onto the inheritance dimension, seemed to grow more intense by the second.]
[In the end, the battle between Elsa and Elysia didn’t have a clear winner. But on the other front — where the subordinates clashed — too many had already died, most of them from the Ravelli family. That was why Elsa eventually backed down, her cold, piercing gaze drifting over Selena, Serah, Lilith... and finally, settling on you.]
[With a joint force made up of people from both the Cross and Everen families, along with the Hollow Sun cult, guarding the area around the inheritance dimension, you finally stepped inside.]
[Contrary to your expectations of monsters or traps, the interior held none of that. Instead, it revealed a vast stretch of open land — with a single, towering structure rising at its center.]
[Inside the tower like building, on the first floor, there were many doors arranged in a circle, and in the middle stood a large, round crystal. Elysia’s voice came in response to your confusion, explaining that the crystal was designed to measure your talent and compatibility with the inheritance. According to the result, one of the doors should open.]
[She went on to explain that inheritance dimensions like this one always followed a similar structure — and that things usually remained peaceful, as long as those entering didn’t try to seize everything by force.]
[Elysia’s explanation was lengthy, but it eventually ended. And all eyes then turned toward you, with Serah speaking, telling you to step forward and see what kind of result you would get.]
[You didn’t hesitate. With visible excitement in your stride, you walked toward the center, where the crystal orb awaited, and placed your hand on it.]
[At first, it glowed faintly. Then, a small prick formed in your palm, drawing a drop of blood — and suddenly, the crystal lit up with a bright crimson glow.]
[Moments later, the largest of the doors swung open.]
[You walked toward it, your expectations high — but before stepping through, you sensed a battle erupt behind you.]
[Selena and Lilith had tried to follow after you, but Elysia had blocked them.]
[Serah, who had given that order, simply laughed and told you that they would wait for you here — so you should go on ahead.]
[You nodded without hesitation and finally entered the door.]
[You were teleported to a different place — a vast, ancient hall. The walls were etched with old paintings, each seemingly depicting fragments of a long-forgotten history. And in the center stood a small platform, where two books and two small boxes lay waiting.]
[You immediately moved toward them, and upon closer inspection, you saw that the books were the Blood Scripture — the first and second parts. As for the boxes, each one contained a single drop of blood.]
’Finally!’
Noel couldn’t help but shout internally, his fists clenching on instinct.
For the first time, a simulation was unfolding the way he wanted — and he couldn’t help but feel a flicker of joy rise in him.
Obstacle after obstacle had tried to stop him at first — from Lilith and Selena, to the Ravelli family, and then Elsa.
But even so... he had entered the inheritance dimension. And now, he had finally gotten what he came for.
[Seeing the two blood drops, you immediately understood that you had acquired the Blood Source you were looking for. But as you examined them more closely — sensing how different each one felt — a new uncertainty took root. You weren’t sure which one would help you advance on the Blood Refinement Path.]
[You focused your senses — the ones awakened through your mastery of the Blood Scripture — and after a while, the distinction between the two became clear.]
[One was a highly refined blood drop — its aura calm, dense, and pure. The other pulsed with mysterious, unpredictable power, something far more chaotic.]
[You were certain that the refined drop was the one you needed.]
[However, things didn’t end there. Your sixth sense flared in warning. The blood drops were dangerous, especially the one with mysterious aura. And you hesitated for a moment, unsure if you should consume both of them.]
[In the end, your hesitation was brief. You decided to take the risk — and consume the refined drop for now.]
[As you consumed the blood — its consistency like liquid mercury, thick and cohesive, holding itself together unnaturally — your body began to burn from the inside out. A rush of strength surged through you, something overwhelming and foreign.]
[You activated the Blood Scripture to its highest possible level, trying to circulate and suppress the power wrecking you — but your body was still too fragile to handle it fully.]
[Your muscles tore, your strong bones cracked, and even your internal organs began to fail under the crushing pressure of the blood’s power.]
[And yet, you endured. You held on through the agony. And after several excruciating hours, your condition finally stabilized.]
