CHAPTER 27: CHAPTER 27: STUDY WELL, DON’T FIDGET

The obedient Justin on the other end of the video call nodded, "Hmm, I probably won’t have the luck to meet you again, Sister, but next Wednesday is my fifth birthday. Can you come and celebrate it with me?"

Laura instinctively glanced at Jason beside her. Justin noticed her gaze shifting and quickly spoke in a sweet voice, "Daddy, you can’t refuse my birthday wish."

Justin was ecstatic, "Sister, you must come!"

Seeing how happy he was, Laura felt as if something inside her was struck, "Okay, Sister will definitely be there."

After the video call ended, Jason went back to his room. The day he picked up his son, he took him for a medical checkup, which showed no abnormalities, meaning there was no issue like being drugged...

Jason raised an eyebrow, "Boyfriend?"

Laura nodded, "Yes! President, didn’t you already know?"

Jason’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, almost forgetting the little woman in front of him actually had a boyfriend! Why is Mason’s efficiency so low this time! How could he just drop the investigation!

"Am I that idle?"

The subtext being: You already said this, so what? Am I so idle to remember these things?

Laura pouted, "President, you, being so important, often forget things. It’s normal not to remember. I was too talkative, so I’ll leave now."

Her tone was calm, and she was trying to persuade Jason politely.
