Conquest Game: The Aloof Husband is Dangerous!
Chapter 33: Who Allowed You to Wipe There?
CHAPTER 33: CHAPTER 33: WHO ALLOWED YOU TO WIPE THERE?
Laura Quincy gathered her courage and pushed the door open. She increasingly felt that Mason Cross had set her up. No wonder the entire floor was under a dark cloud because the CEO was in a bad mood. It also made sense why those secretaries looked at her so strangely. While everyone else was avoiding him at all costs, she had actually walked into the lion’s den.
Jason Hawthorne was still reviewing documents and didn’t look up.
Laura Quincy had no choice but to walk over with the coffee, hoping that she could just put it down and slip away.
The familiar scent wafted into Jason Hawthorne’s nose. Wasn’t the person who came in supposed to be Mason?
He suddenly looked up, meeting Laura Quincy’s clear eyes. Taken by surprise, Laura Quincy’s hand trembled, and the coffee spilled right onto Jason Hawthorne’s pants.
In a rather delicate area...
Laura Quincy’s face instantly turned red. She quickly placed the remaining coffee on the desk, then grabbed a tissue to help him wipe.
She said, "I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to."
Jason Hawthorne’s cold voice came from above, "I think you did it on purpose. Who allowed you to wipe there?"
His latter words were nasal and seemed to suggest he was holding something back.
Laura Quincy quickly glanced at the area she was wiping. Blood rushed to her face, making even her earlobes blush. This was too embarrassing for her!
She quickly withdrew her hand and defended herself, saying, "I didn’t do it on purpose."
"You’re quite good at playing innocent!"
"I’m not! It was you who suddenly looked up and startled me, which is why I spilled the coffee..."
"And you’re blaming it on me now?"
"..."
Jason Hawthorne slightly raised his eyebrows, his dark eyes coldly fixed on Laura Quincy. His mood was somewhat complicated. Ever since he found out last night that she was his nephew Jasper Hawthorne’s girlfriend, his mood had been off all day.
He couldn’t even tell why...
She was in a daze when her chin was suddenly lifted up. She had no choice but to raise her eyes and met Jason Hawthorne’s deep, pool-like black eyes.
Then, his face got closer and closer.
Her lips were sealed...
As soon as Laura Quincy realized what was happening, she tried to push him away, but one of his hands firmly held the back of her head while the other supported her waist, leaving her unable to move.
"Mmm..."
This was already the second time he had taken the initiative to kiss her. Was he crazy?
On one hand, he guarded against her, while on the other, he did such intimate things. What did he take her for?
The more Laura Quincy thought about it, the angrier she became. But given the difference in their strength, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t push Jason Hawthorne away, which only made him more aggressive.
Jason Hawthorne discovered that her taste was unexpectedly enticing, making him unwilling to let go. He wanted to savor more...
Until the woman in his arms was struggling to breathe, he reluctantly released her.
Laura Quincy vigorously wiped her lips, furious, "What gives you the right to kiss me?"
Jason Hawthorne looked at her with a dark expression, "Isn’t this exactly your goal by approaching me?"
Laura Quincy was so angry her chest heaved violently, "Bastard! Did you forget? I told you I’m not interested in you. I have a boyfriend! He’s waiting for me downstairs right now!"
It would have been fine if she hadn’t mentioned her boyfriend, but bringing him up only stirred Jason Hawthorne’s fury. This little woman really had some nerve!
In an instant, the room’s atmosphere became extremely oppressive. Although the air conditioning wasn’t set low, Laura Quincy still felt a chilling coldness.
Seeing Jason Hawthorne advancing toward her step by step, she could only retreat.
The two were at a standoff until they reached the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Laura Quincy glanced back and saw the entire wall was a transparent glass. Looking down was daunting. Just as she was about to move forward, Jason Hawthorne blocked her path.
