CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO KISS ME?

"Hey! Are you even reasonable? It’s been almost ten days since you started misunderstanding me. Can’t you feel how much effort I’ve put into this?"

"In my eyes, you’re just being scheming." Jasper Hawthorne hooked her chin with his index finger, his dark eyes cold.

Laura Quincy was about to explode with anger. This man either had amnesia or was a super narcissist! Nothing she said seemed to get through!

"I think you’re the super narcissist! I wouldn’t like a cold man like you even if I were blind!"

Her words fueled the anger in Jasper’s eyes even more. He directly sealed her chattering mouth from his perspective, just right to see a Toyota Highlander parked below.

Ha! He remembered Jasper had a car like this.

With that thought, the kiss grew more intense...

Why take his bad mood out on her?

Until the taste of blood filled his mouth, Jasper released Laura’s lips. Damn woman! She dared to bite him?

Without a second thought, Laura swung a slap that was caught mid-air by Jasper, suddenly feeling her wrist tightly held by the firm grip of iron pincers...

"Woman, you’re quite bold!"

"You forcibly kissed me twice. What’s wrong with me hitting you?"

Suddenly, Jasper stuck out his tongue and licked the blood on his lips, looking devilish, electrifying Laura’s entire body to a numbing stiffness.

This was ridiculous!

"Does your boyfriend know you work here?"

"Of course!"

Laura cautiously glared at the man before her, unsure of his sudden shift in topic.

Jasper curled his lips, giving a meaningful glance at the Highlander downstairs. Jasper Hawthorne knew Laura worked beside him. That meant he knew she was a "kidnapper," yet didn’t come to plead for his girlfriend and clear her name...

Why was he hiding his identity and dating such a background-less girlfriend anyway?

Interesting!

"Have you slept with your boyfriend?" Jasper asked, sounding casual.

Laura’s face turned crimson with embarrassment at his straightforward words, "Who has such filthy thoughts like you!"

As she spoke, she was ready to escape.

He was deliberately testing her!

Laura turned her face away, "That’s just what you think!"

Jasper’s cold, dark eyes slightly warmed, it seemed Laura and Jasper hadn’t had an intimate relationship yet, judging by Laura’s flushed cheeks.

Also, her kissing skills were dreadful, evidently the two hadn’t kissed much either.

Thinking of this, his mood suddenly improved.

Laura took advantage of his distraction to forcefully push him away and escape. She couldn’t bear another second! Her lips and mouth were filled with The Demon King’s taste, making her feel like she betrayed her boyfriend...

She hid in the restroom alone, rinsing her mouth multiple times before coming out. Then she applied a layer of lip balm; luckily, she often carried candies in her bag, they were now useful.

Downstairs, Jasper checked his watch; it had been half an hour.

Thinking of calling her, he then saw her come out with her bag and immediately rolled down the car window to wave at her, "Laura."

Laura quickened her steps, a happy smile on her face. If only that scene in The Demon King’s office hadn’t happened!

Once in the car, she pouted slightly, looking apologetic, "Jasper, you waited a long time, didn’t you? I’m sorry! Something came up that I couldn’t refuse."
