For several days in a row, the most frequently heard topic at the company concerning Laura Quincy was about the sixtieth anniversary celebration. Crystal Langley and the others had long been preparing to attend the gala evening.

On Wednesday afternoon, Laura was surrounded by Crystal and the other two upon coming out of the deputy team leader’s office. "Did Team Leader Jennings talk to you about attending the celebration banquet?"

Laura shook her head, "No! I just received notice that I have to go on a business trip to Port Sovereign tomorrow morning."

Quinn Chase was shocked, "A business trip to Port Sovereign? Aren’t you attending the company’s celebration banquet?"

Laura shrugged, "Whether I attend or not doesn’t matter, I’m not very interested."

Saying that, she took the materials in her hand and returned to her seat.

Crystal Langley, Quinn Chase, and Violet Whitman exchanged puzzled glances. They were a bit unsure about Laura. Wasn’t she the one who got in through connections? Could it be that they really had misunderstood her?

After work, Laura made a call to her boyfriend, hoping to have dinner with him and, incidentally, inform him that she would be on a business trip for a few days from tomorrow.
