Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!
Chapter 106: Come to Me If You Need Anything
CHAPTER 106: COME TO ME IF YOU NEED ANYTHING
Cameron squeezed his eyes shut, asking with a sense of despair, "Oh, is there something you need?"
Mia on the other end didn’t suspect anything and asked, "It’s like this, do you know anyone who knows a bit about computers?"
Cameron: "I do, what do you mean by a bit...?"
"Oh, it’s nothing, just someone who can hack into a computer and extract a video clip."
Cameron: "..."
That’s what you call a bit!
There was a brief pause on Mia’s side, she thought for a moment, sighed, and said, "Forget it, it’s actually not that complicated. Can you ask the program staff to copy a video for me?"
Cameron glanced at Jensen Sterling, then asked, "Did something happen?"
Mia: "It’s nothing, just that a student posted a misleading video clip, and I just wanted the full version."
Cameron: "For this kind of thing, you should talk to Jensen; it’s just a matter of a word for him."
At this point, Cameron didn’t forget to mention Jensen Sterling.
Mia smacked her lips and said, "Such a small thing isn’t worth troubling Mr. Sterling."
Upon hearing this, Jensen Sterling’s lips subtly twitched.
Cameron: "......"
So this wasn’t meant as a compliment to Jensen Sterling.
What do you mean by saying such a small thing isn’t worth troubling Jensen?
Is this the kind of small thing he’s supposed to handle?!
Cameron suddenly felt that all his earlier worries were baseless. This girl doesn’t talk much, but when she does, she knows how to get to the heart of the matter. There’s nothing to worry about.
Of course, that person isn’t him.
Cameron was about to speak, and then he saw the person who was previously indifferent slightly bend over and reach for the phone on the table.
Then Mia heard a change in the voice on the line: "Not a problem."
Mia: "..."
Startled for a second, she picked up the phone to check. She was calling Cameron, oh, so Mr. Sterling was next to him.
Mia quickly adjusted her tone, saying excitedly, "Mr. Sterling."
"Are you next to Cameron?"
A calm response came from the other side: "Yes."
Mia licked her lips and asked, "Oh, then... did you hear everything just now?"
Jensen Sterling, holding the phone with the speaker turned off, leaned against the sofa: "Yes, you can always call me if there’s anything; sometimes Cameron can’t handle it."
The girl on the other end was probably in bed, and there was the sound of her turning over.
Then the girl’s soft voice came through: "I was afraid you were busy, and it was just a little something, so I thought not to disturb you."
Jensen Sterling: "It’s not a disturbance."
Mia responded to his words, "Oh, okay, I understand now."
She did think that it wasn’t a big deal, so she didn’t want to trouble Jensen Sterling; Cameron was enough.
Initially, she said to find someone good with computers just to see what those so-called cool hackers could do, but then thought it wasn’t necessary and gave up.
It was just a spur of the moment thing.
Of course, it would be best for Jensen Sterling to handle this, but...
Mia, holding the phone, hesitantly asked, "If you step in, won’t our relationship be exposed?"
She remembered Jensen Sterling mentioning that their fake marriage should ideally not be exposed, probably because it would be a hassle when they divorce later.
Jensen Sterling: "No worries, it won’t be exposed. What video is it, and when do you need it?"
