Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!
Chapter 117: Looking for Someone
CHAPTER 117: LOOKING FOR SOMEONE
Jensen Sterling walked to the place the staff had just pointed out. The so-called dressing room was actually just a temporary little hut, with two sections - one for men, and one for women.
Jensen stood in front of the door, raised his arm, his fingers slightly bent, and gently tapped on the door.
For a while, there was no movement inside, silent and still. The man furrowed his brow slightly. Just as Jensen was about to raise his hand to knock again, the door to the room next to him creaked open.
When Jensen turned to look, he saw Nolan Sinclair standing at the door, his hand still in the act of opening it.
For a moment, even the air seemed silent, until Nolan broke the stillness.
"Didn’t expect to see you here, Mr. Sterling. Is there something you need?" Nolan leaned against the door frame with a faint smile, asking.
He glanced at where Jensen was standing, slightly tilting his chin in that direction. "Looking for someone?"
Jensen replied casually, "Yes."
"I never thought you’d know someone here."
Jensen was about to speak when a staff member hurriedly ran over from a distance. They were so rushed that they were panting when they stopped.
"Mr. Sterling, finally found you. It’s your scene now, Director Guo is waiting over there."
Upon hearing this, Jensen paused, then nodded, saying he understood, and bid Nolan goodbye before leaving.
Nolan leaned against the door, watching the direction Jensen left in, and smiled indifferently.
Meanwhile, Mia Sutton walked up from a corner, saw Nolan with half-done hair standing at the door, and asked curiously, "Why are you out here? Is something up?"
Nolan replied, "No, just ran into an old acquaintance. Go and get your makeup done."
Mia didn’t ask further upon hearing this, said "Alright," and pushed open the door to the dressing room and went inside.
Mia had suddenly felt unwell in her stomach and had gone to the restroom, not even finishing her makeup.
Inside the room, the makeup artist quietly applied makeup on Mia. As the look gradually took shape, the makeup artist’s eyes lit up more and more, and her hands moved faster.
She kind of understood now why they said this young girl was suitable.
She truly was suitable. Her image and temperament were undeniable, like the saying - still as a virgin, moving like a startled hare - perfectly described her.
Mia’s makeup didn’t take long. Her hair accessories and clothes were of a simple style, yet they were not ordinary.
A white dress perfectly complemented her figure, her striking features, rosy lips, and slender waist were reminiscent of an ancient unmarried maiden, gentle yet lively.
Even Nolan, who had seen many beauties in the entertainment industry, felt a stir in his heart when he saw Mia.
A few seconds later, he slightly diverted his gaze, his tone more subdued than usual, and said, "Let’s start filming."
This was an ancient style song, telling the story of a young girl and a young general.
They grew up as childhood friends, but were later separated by the unforeseeable turns of life. Yet the song carried no sadness over the separation. Instead, though the melody was gentle, it was not sorrowful.
It was more like two perceptive souls reminiscing and narrating their story, not with sadness but with lightness.
Their relationship might have been friendship, or perhaps... something else. Who knows?
