Chapter 28: Team Switch 1
CHAPTER 28: TEAM SWITCH 1
Two minutes later, a group of girls in the training room sat in a row with milk tea in hand, the scene was quite... peculiar.
Some of them muttered, "Just one sip won’t make me fat," and after drinking, "One more sip won’t hurt," and then... the milk tea was finished.
In the control room, the staff watched as each person drank milk tea with mixed feelings.
After finishing their drinks, the girls felt much better and awkwardly went to Mia Sutton to quietly say thank you.
They had somewhat held opinions about Mia Sutton before, having never met her and only hearing about her from others, their impression of her naturally wasn’t good.
But she still bought them milk tea without holding grudges, making them feel a bit ashamed.
Mia Sutton told them all, "You’re welcome," one by one.
Afterwards, there was one cup of milk tea left. Mia Sutton shook it and casually asked, "Isn’t Shirley Golden here?"
The group of girls heard this and looked around the practice room, realizing one person was indeed missing, but they didn’t mind, thinking she might be busy, as she often wasn’t around, always with a stern face.
"She came once before practice and then left again, probably had something to do. I’ll take it to her later," one girl said.
Mia Sutton nodded, not paying much attention.
After a break, Mia Sutton gathered everyone and said, "Don’t you all find our song very difficult?"
A bunch of girls hesitated for a moment, biting their lips, sounding a bit weak, "Yes."
"We had already mentally prepared, but didn’t expect it to be much harder than imagined when actually learning. Is this dance even humanly possible? The moves are so hard, and we have to sing too. It’s just impossible."
For a moment, the atmosphere was a bit dejected, everyone hanging their heads in disappointment.
Mia Sutton said, "I know the choreography for this song is difficult to learn, and the song is hard to sing, but it’s not completely hopeless."
Hearing this, everyone’s eyes lit up a bit.
Before they could respond, the rehearsal room door was pushed open, the assistant director came in first, and then gestured to someone outside, "Come in."
Then Shirley Golden came in, followed by another girl, head lowered, fingers slightly bent, picking at her nails.
Mia Sutton: "..."
The other members: "..."
They looked at the assistant director, then Shirley Golden, and then focused on the girl behind, sweeping their eyes back and forth, unable to understand what was going on.
They exchanged looks, asking: What’s up, the latter shook her head, she didn’t know either.
Mia Sutton stepped forward, smiling and asked, "Assistant Director, is there something happening?"
The assistant director coughed lightly into her fist, then said, "Nothing, just felt that your group’s personnel allocation was a bit unsuitable, so made a slight adjustment."
Then pointed to the girl who entered, "This person wants to switch groups with Shirley Golden, and coincidentally, Shirley Golden’s foot is injured. Our director team discussed and thought we could adjust a bit."
Shirley Golden stood up, smiling, "Sorry, I accidentally sprained my foot while practicing a few days ago, luckily Shaun wants to switch groups, so we swapped. You guys won’t mind, right?"
The group of girls saw this and instantly fumed, just about to step forward and speak, but Mia Sutton grabbed their arms.
Mia Sutton lifted her gaze, her beautiful eyes were very clear, the puffy under her eyes, with a slight curve in her eyes, a smile emerged.
