CHAPTER 4: SISTER SU, QUEEN OF THE STREETS

These days, Mia Sutton was just going about her normal life; being a minor celebrity, she had a lot of free time.

Feeling bored at night, Mia went to the Nightlight bar again. Ignoring the glances from others, she swirled the glass in her hand and sighed inwardly, realizing she probably wouldn’t have so many leisurely days in the future.

She sat for a while, then got up to leave. At this hour, there weren’t many people on the street, scattered figures each going about their own business.

The streetlights illuminated the road outside, and Mia walked steadily. After a moment, her delicate eyebrows paused, and a gleam flashed through her beautiful eyes.

She changed direction, walking increasingly off the beaten path. Her figure flickered into an alley, with her pursuer following without a second thought.

After a moment inside, the man stopped, scanned his surroundings, and whispered, "Where did she go?"

He took a couple more steps forward, finding no one, furrowing his brow and muttering under his breath, "Damn it, finally spotted a hot one, and I still managed to lose her, unlucky."

A soft laugh came from behind, carried along by the wind, a sweet sound that made his ears tingle: "Are you looking for me?"

Though the night was lively, there were still quiet places where muffled groans and cries of pain could be clearly heard.

After a long while, Mia Sutton walked out of the alley, taking out a tissue to carefully wipe her fingers, and then tossed it into a nearby trash bin.

This really is... such a hassle!

She was just a soft, fragile girl, why did she have to get her hands dirty!

But seriously, what’s going on with her brother recently, the city’s night scene is getting out of hand, and he’s not doing anything about it.

Mia was still staying at a hotel these days, planning to go back home in a few days.

As she appeared outside the hotel, her arm was suddenly grabbed by a hand. Instinctively, Mia pulled the person over, spun around, and lifted her leg, a series of moves quick and stylish, crisp and effortless.

"Mia Sutton, are you crazy?" Martin Wright’s voice shook with pain as he scolded her.

Upon hearing the voice, Mia raised an eyebrow, glanced at the person on the ground, noting the mask, hat, and glasses; well-equipped indeed.

Then she let go of him, patting her hands in disdain, as if to say, oh great, a scumbag.

"Oh, sorry, didn’t realize it was you."

If she had, she might have hit even harder.

Martin Wright’s face twisted with anger, luckily it was covered by a mask. After getting up, he started interrogating Mia: "What’s going on with you, causing a scene again, can you stop throwing tantrums, just come back when you’re done, I don’t have time to keep looking for you."

Mia raised an eyebrow, wondering if she should say a scumbag really has too high an opinion of himself.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, we broke up."

Martin Wright frowned, completely dismissing the statement. He knew how much Mia liked him, so he regarded her words as nothing more than a tantrum.

His eyes turned cold instantly, and his mood sank further; he had spoiled her too much, letting her use break-up threats against him.

Martin controlled his anger and said, "Have I been too lenient on you lately?"

Mia really didn’t even feel like pretending, couldn’t be bothered to respond.

Frustrated, Martin’s veins stood out on his neck, gritting his teeth, "You want to break up? Fine, break up!"

With that, he turned and walked away, growing angrier with each step, like a volcano about to erupt, ready to explode at the slightest provocation!

Gritting his teeth, damn it, break up, right, let’s see if you have the guts not to come back to me later.

Unlike Martin’s outburst, Mia Sutton, having rid herself of the scumbag, returned to the hotel and happily took a shower.

Now it’s perfect, she could go and flirt with Mr. Xi; Mia propped her chin up and stared at the TV.

Come to think of it, she did miss Mr. Xi a little.
