CHAPTER 70: MIA SUTTON GOES HOME

Over the weekend, Mia Sutton rummaged through her suitcase for quite a while before finally taking out a few items.

After her first public performance aired, Mia Sutton gained a large number of fans. Although it was a talent show, she couldn’t just go out as casually as before.

So when Mia Sutton left the show’s set, she specifically wore a sun hat and a pair of sunglasses, adopting a very low-key appearance as she departed.

It was Jensen Sterling’s assistant, Leo, who came to pick her up. After picking her up, he was worried that Mia Sutton might be upset because Jensen Sterling couldn’t come, so he explained right away.

"Ms. Sutton, please don’t be upset that Mr. Sterling couldn’t be here. He had an urgent job come up and had to head out of town, but he instructed me to make sure to get you home safely."

"Oh, by the way, Mr. Sterling bought a lot of things that are in the trunk. He said that even if he couldn’t come, his sincerity must be there; they are all chosen according to the interests of your parents."

Mia Sutton listened to Leo anxiously defending Jensen Sterling and felt a bit amused. He truly was a very dutiful assistant.

However, something went wrong with the shoot, and he received a call urgently requesting his presence, which he couldn’t refuse. So, he called Mia Sutton to inform her.

Mia Sutton didn’t mind; she hadn’t planned to have Jensen Sterling meet them right away anyway. And since Jensen had work, attending to his work was appropriate. There was no obligation for him to accompany her.

Soon, the car stopped in the residential area, which consisted mainly of single-family units.

After getting out of the car, Mia Sutton took out the things Jensen Sterling had prepared from the trunk.

She said to Leo, "If you’re busy, you can leave first. I can get back myself."

Leo hurriedly shook his head: "No, no, no... I’m not busy, I’ll wait for you."

Jensen Sterling specifically instructed him to ensure Mia Sutton’s safe transport to and from, and if he left, what if they encountered paparazzi on the way? It would be on him.

"Then you can go to the parking lot first, or just wander around nearby. I’ll call you when I’m ready to leave."

After giving the instructions, Mia Sutton started walking home with the things in hand.

At first, her pace was normal, but she started walking slower and slower.
