CHAPTER 117: CHAPTER 116: NEGOTIATIONS!

"Alright so what’s all this really about?"

Drake was still angry but he was also curious.

This little guy actually came to him to learn how to pick up girls. That took real guts. What could make guy do something like that?

Simon hesitated a bit then started. "Actually the thing is, I don’t know how to talk to girls or you know..."

A few minutes later Drake finally got the gist of it.

As things would have it, Old Simon here was having problems with his relationship skills with girls.

"And you came to me for help." Drake found this both incredulous and funny. He also admired the guy a little.

Simon nodded and said, "I haven’t always been one to be let outside partly because of the way I grew up and also because I myself always liked staying in at home since I could do anything I wanted and everything I ever wanted was always available to me. Coming to Alpha Academy is the first time I’ve been away from home for so long. I never had any problems communicating with my parents on their faces the old butler and the driver back home. But now when I run into girls especially the pretty ones my brain shuts down and I can’t say anything. In fact I can’t even think properly anymore."

Then Simon raised his head to glance a Drake and his eyes were glowing. "But you, you don’t have that problem. You tamed three of the top 10 beauties of the empire in our generation. I even heard that you made them cook for you and now you don’t have to buy food from the Academy anymore."

"Hold on, time out. Where did you hear that I made the girls cook for me?"

"Word on the street Boss. Word on the street." Simon waived not disclosing his sources. Then he continued, "Also word on the street is, you make them compete for your attention. Whoever makes the best dish gets your attention."

Drake’s face darkened even more. He thought, ’Damn it who the hell is putting all this stuff out on the streets. Does everyone have access to all this information? How come I’m just finding out about this street voice? Theres definitely a mole somewhere.’

But then he sighed inwardly, ’If only Queen were here. I used to have access to this kind of stuff first hand even before it becomes word on the street. If the old me could see me now he would be disappointed.’

Drake could almost picture his old self looking at the current him.

The old Drake shook his head and sighed with disappointment. He said "You use to be somebody. Now look at you, look at what you’ve become. You’ve fallen so low."

"Fuck!" Drake furiously howled internally. Then he turned back to Simon who was seated

Simon had no idea what was going through Drake’s mind and was still stuck in his own reverie

’Such a feat’ Simon clenched his fists. He could feel his blood boiling just from the thought of it. He said solemnly, "You are definitely a true master in the Arts. Only a true Boss can accomplish such a divine feat." he gazed at Drake with reverence in his eyes.

True reverence.

Drake was surprised to see that look in Simon’s eyes. But then he thought about it again and while he did feel a bit annoyed that someone was minding his privacy, he still felt a bit proud in his heart.

While he did not want the girls to hear about this as it might get him into some trouble, he felt some satisfaction when he tried imagining just how many guys had blown their tops and broken their furniture after hearing that the goddesses of their dreams were serving him like housewives. Especially all those jealous punks who all ways drool when they saw the girls, but gave him sharp glares filled with killing intent.

Drake thought there was no better slap in their faces than this.

"So, will you teach me?" Simon finally asked.

"No." Drake refused without swiftly.

"Huh, why not?" Simon was at a loss but he had expected Drake to refuse even before he had asked. However that didn’t mean he was just going to give up like that.

"Why should I?" Drake refuted.

"Um because I’m asking you. Because I need your help." Simon answered even he didn’t find what he was saying convincing.

Drake just shrugged. "That’s your problem not mine. Why should I waste my time and leave my own business just so I can teach you how to pick up girls?".

"Come on man please. Just think of it as doing a solid for a fellow guy." Simon begged.

But Drake shook his head and refused. "I don’t do charity’s for grown men. You want something you can take your black ass out and go work for it. You want to learn something, get a book sit your black ass down and read."

"I’ll really owe you one for this." Simon pleaded.

Drake glanced at him and an evil grin crept unto his face as he asked. "Really now? I could take anything I want you know. Think about it gain, are you sure you want to owe me?"

Drake found this guys persistence to be quite funny.

For some unknown reason, Simon felt trepidation when he heard that question.

"Um n, no. but I can pay you."

From that response Drake hadn’t completely refused. That meant things were still negotiable. Benefits, he had to give benefits.

"You want to pay me? Alright then, what do you offer?" Drake said making a welcoming gesture. But then he pointed out, "Don’t bring up money. I probably have more Mage points than you do."

"You’re in engineering class, it’s probably because you are interested in War Frames right? I could get you access to the War Frames."

"Boy I have contract with Obsidian Palace. I could get into a War Frame today if I felt like it. Besides, even if I didn’t have Obsidian Palace all I have to do is wait for next semester and I would have access to the Academy’s War Frames. Try gain."

"Okay fine. What if I told you... What if I told you I could gift you your own personal War Frame?"

"I would say you’re an idiot." Drake shook his head and said derisively. "You would gift me a War Frame just because you want me to teach you a few pick up lines? Even if you’re desperate, you can’t possibly be that dumb right.

However Simon was serious, he pressed, "Come on, You might have a contract with Obsidian Palace, but they won’t possibly give you your own personal War Frame, I on the other hand can."

Drake couldn’t help but glance at Simon again. He spoke, "Let’s just say I agree to this deal. How will you possibly get your hands on a War Frame that you can gift to me? Those things aren’t cabbages."

Simon nodded, "My Dad and Grand father are leading Scientists in production of the War Frames throughout the empire. From when I was only five years old I already had access to War Frames, so they might as well be cabbages to me."

Drake’s eyes suddenly narrowed when he heard this part. Drake didn’t know that Simon was from that Wes family.

Drake remembered discussing the Wes family with Queen some time ago. The Wes family could be considered the rulers of the War Frame empire. Drake had always known that Simon’s family was rich, but he never knew they would be that kind of rich.

’Come on there’s no way he’s allowed to give away War Frames right?’ Drake thought incredulously. Then he said alright fine. I won’t be unreasonable with you. If you can get me a War Frame then I promise I’ll help."

"You got it." Simon ginned, "There’s a saying in the Wes family. ’A mechanic can not have money, but they can’t not have access to their tools and technology.’"

As far as the Wes family was concerned showing off how much money you had was stupid so they didn’t give Simon too much money. But they didn’t limit his access to War Frames.

Actually, Drake did not believe that the Wes family no matter how rich they were would ever allow Simon to just so easily give away War frames Willy Nilly and Drake would have helped Simon even if he had nothing to offer, just for the sake of helping a fellow guy step out of that shadow.

However, who would have expected that Simon would have promised him a War Frame. Since he was offering Drake would naturally receive it would both hands as to refuse an offer would be rude right?

Simon reached for a handshake to seal off the deal and Drake did not refuse the gesture.

However, their palms had just clasped when Drake felt a terrifying strand of dense killing intent suddenly lock onto him. It was so sharp that it felt like the grim reapers Death scythe pressed against his throat, and it made all his hairs stand on end.

Drake hastily jumped a few feet back. However, after looking around for few seconds he did not see anything out of the ordinary round. The killing intent had also vanished without a trace s though it had never been there.
