CHAPTER 118: CHAPTER 117: SIMON’S TRAINING!
"Uh... Are you alright? Simon asked when there was suddenly such an intense reaction from Drake. ’Was it the handshake? Why is he suddenly behaving like he’s up against a terrifying enemy.’ he thought.
Drake’s pupils constricted as he looked around suspiciously.
’That was not just my imagination was it?’ He thought,
At that moment Drake was very sure that he had felt killing intent.
True Killing intent.
True killing intent was not some thing just anybody could have. Only those who had truly killed people could possess true killing intent.
A few more minutes later, Drake and Simon settled on location to meet then both went their separate ways.
...
On the next morning, Drake finished all his business early and took a taxi away from the academy. It was a free day today so he did not have any compulsory classes.
Drake soon arrived at a park, and the cab zoomed away after dropping him off.
Most of the vehicles these days were Maglev thanks to the advanced technology.
Actually, apart from maybe Military issue or really expensive luxury vehicles and super cars like the Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari and a few others all other vehicles were Maglev today.
Wheeled vehicles were seen as a symbol of status and only those with high clout that were rich to a certain level could possess these kinds of vehicles today.
Why? Simply because they were way too freaking expensive.
It’s funny when you think about how all those years ago wheeled vehicles were as common as trees with maglev vehicles being so expensive that very few could afford them, but it was the reverse these days.
Either ways, the cab vanished into traffic and Drake walked into the Park. He instantly located Simon. Or maybe we should say, Drake couldn’t possibly miss him with the kind of atrocity he was dressed up as.
He looked like something the rainbow threw up after suffering a hangover that lasted seven weeks.
Drake couldn’t help but sigh. "Hah, I had a feeling this would happen."
Simon ran over to Drake shouting, "I’m here! Wow you’re pretty early it’s exactly 9:00."
Drake nodded indifferently. "I’m not really a fan of being late, and I don’t like people making me wait."
"That’s good to know. Luckily, I got here an hour ago. Hehe." Simon felt a bit weird when he noticed the indifference on Drake. ’is he angry?’ he speculated.
Drake simply nodded, then started walking away while calling out softly. "Alright first order of business."
"Are we getting started now?" Simon asked. He was a bit excited and also nervous.
"Yup!" Drake replied without even looking back.
Simon felt like it was getting serious and nodded. But then he inquired, "So, what do you think of my outfit?"
Drake threw a glance at him and asked, "You want me to be honest?"
Simon cringed slightly when he saw the look in Drake’s eyes. He had a feeling he wouldn’t be getting a very good rating, but he still slowly nodded.
"You look like a Complete. Motherfucking. Disaster!" Drake did not hesitate to cut him down.
"What’s so bad about how I look?" Simon was stunned he asked.
"Everything!" Drake retorted sharply.
"I thought the was to court attention at all times."
"So you’ve been reading? That’s good! And you’re right courting attention is good. But there’s a difference between courting attention and the catastrophe that I’m looking at right now. NASA would sound the whole planets alarms if you got anywhere near a 10 Km radius of their building. I mean just take a look at yourself. You’re dressed like shit, your hair looks like shit, you got no swag, no flash, plus your aura reeks of anxiety. And you want to pick up girls? Heh! It would be a miracle if they don’t run way at the sight of you. If you ask me, right now your current chances of having a complete proper conversation with a girl is as high as Tyga’s chances of making Album of the year. Seriously look at yourself in the mirror and tell me. If you were a girl would you date you?" Drakes words rained down on him like ten thousand blades.
The more Drake spoke the lower Simon’s head fell. He had lowered his head so much it was like his head would soon sink with his neck into his chest.
While Drake didn’t spare Simon from his blades he pitied the little guy inside. ’Sorry to do this to you kid. But this is for your own good. It’s better you die at my hands than to the jaws of the wolves later.’
Drake led Simon into a small shopping mall in the Park. The first order of business was to get Simon a whole new makeover.
During their stay in Alpha Academy, Drake had noticed that apart from that one time when he had seen Simon dressed up in a suit for that date where he needed saving, Simon absolutely had a terrible selection of clothes. Drake was here to change that.
A pretty lady came to welcome them shortly after they walked into shopping mall. She was an attendant working here.
She introduced herself."Good morning, Welcome to Aunt Vee’s. I’m Crystal."
Drake teased."Mmm, do you come with a glass? I would love to have some of you, I love Champagne."
She laughed lightly."Me too."
"Lovely, I’m Drake this is my friend Simon." Drake grinned and introduced.
Crystal chuckled and waved a greeting at Simon. "Hi Simon."
"Hello!" Simon nodded stiffly
Drake noticed that his companion was not very comfortable and quickly jumped in to save him. "I have to ask, are you the face of this company?" He inquired with a serious expression.
"No, why?" Crystal asked.
Hearing that Drake shook his had a but disappointed. "Ah! It’s the company’s loss then. Have you looked at you? Your style is just divine. I’m having a hard time looking away. Are you sure you’re not a supermodel"
Crystal giggled and rolled her eyes. "No, I just work here. and I wouldn’t dare call myself a model much less a supermodel. I know I don’t look that great."
Drake’s expression turned solemn and he said. "Don’t say things like that and don’t underrate yourself. You might not see it, but I do."
Crystals face reddened a bit at this and she said. "Thank you."
Drake nodded then continued. "Luckily, fate has it that we ran into you today. I’ll be straight with you Crystal, my friend here is in dire need of a makeover if you know what I mean. And I would love it if we can get the expert opinion of a beautiful lady like yourself."
Crystal directed her gaze at Simon then grinned lightly and said. "Well then let me see what I can do.
Drake grinned and said. "Perfect!"
"Would you follow me please?" Crystal invited them then turned and started off deeper into the mall.
"Um yeah sure. Okay." Simon nodded and started after her.
"Lead the way." Drake called out and followed behind them.
Simon turned and mouthed a few soundless words at Drake. ’How did you do that?’
Drake just smiled and whispered. "Stay tuned, this is nothing."
After getting Simon a nice haircut, they moved to the clothes section.
If you wanted to go shopping for clothes the best person to dress a man would have to be a woman. Their species practically lived for fashion.
About two hours later, Simon was finally set free from the clutches of Crystal.
It had to be known that in whatever era women never changed. If you dared to let them shop for you, then you had better be ready to be her dress-up-doll, because they will make sure you try everything on, and they’ll take their time while they’re at it.
Luckily, while Drake enjoyed watching Simon suffer as he teased the beauty, he had a lot to do today with the little guy’s training and did not have time to waste. So he thought up an excuse and managed to pry Crystal’s new toy from her unwilling hands after letting her play for two hours.
"Thank you very much Crystal, we really enjoyed your services. I’ll be sure to come back." Drake said as Simon paid for the bags.
"Is that all you’ll be needing?" Crystal smiled and asked Drake.
Drake got the message and grinned saying. "Well that’s all Simon will be needing, But how about you give me your contact details and we can maybe grab a glass of Champagne some time."
She grinned. "Okay."
A few seconds later Drake and Simon walked out of the mall. They weren’t carrying any bags though. They would be delivered to Simon’s place by the mall’s delivery services.
Simon finally was no longer able to restrain himself and asked. "Dude what was that? You were flirting with her all that time, halfway through it I couldn’t even tell who was trying to pick up who. Is it always that easy?"
Drake shook his head and explained. "No she was a special case. What you saw was what we call the ’Freaky’ side of a girl."
"Do all girls have a ’Freaky’ side?" Simon inquired with glowing eyes.
"Not all of them just some. And even amongst those that do, most don’t always show it. You can force it out though if you know what to do. But the difficulty of doing that varies for different girls and the guy that she’s with."
Simon sighed feeling it was quite a pity, but then he shook it off. "What about Crystal though? Is she one of the ones that leaves her ’Freaky’ side active?" He asked.
Drake thought about it a little then shook his head. "No, her ’Freaky’ side was just a bit easy to turn on. If you want an example of someone who leaves her ’Freaky’ side active at all times, Cassandra is a good example. Sophia is also one." He said.
Simon nodded remembering the seductive Vampire princess.
Drake gave Simon a once over now that his makeover was complete.
Now Simon no longer looked like a walking abomination. He was casually dressed in a red T-shirt with fitted black jeans, a nice pair of sneakers. He wore a peaked cap and was wearing a matching gold chain and wrist watch.
He looked completely different from before.
Drake nodded with approval then he said, "Now that’s more like it. How do you feel?"
Simon replied. "I don’t know why, it’s just new clothes I’m wearing. But I feel reinvigorated! I feel ready to go."
"Good then why don’t you go talk to that girl over there?" Drake chortled and pointed at a girl that was seated at a bench.
