CHAPTER 556: VOLUME 6, CHAPTER 36: LIFE AND RESEARCH
When long-separated lovers reunite, there are always endless conversations to be had.
Fatty enjoyed the cozy living room sofa with Ann Lei nestled softly against him, listening to her recount past experiences and future aspirations, speaking intermittently.
Ann Lei would occasionally fall silent as she spoke, hugging Fatty and rubbing her face against his chest without saying a word. Then she’d ask about Fatty’s experiences in Gazalin after their parting.
The helpless Fatty sank deeper and deeper into the embrace of his goddess. By the time he realized that Ann Lei knew everything about him and Bonnie, it was already too late.
Ann Lei was still the same untainted and transparent Ann Lei, but this didn’t stop her from transforming into a deadly little fairy at times.
She would sweetly fall into your arms and ask the questions she was interested in. She would pinch you a few times if you lied and dozens of times if you told the truth. It wasn’t heavy, nor did it hurt, but it itched softly, making your heart feel like it was being scratched by a cat.
When you held her and flirted wantonly, she would pant and moan, teasing you with moderate resistance. Her warm and soft body was as slick as an eel, slipping out of your embrace just when your emotions were peaking.
When the tips of your fingers still carried her faint scent and you were still savoring the elasticity of her smooth breasts, she had already retreated to the corner of the sofa with a flushed face, looking at you with a lamb-like, pitiful yet shy expression, making you want to offer up your heart to her.
Fatty’s heart was completely taken.
When all the questioning was over, Ann Lei announced with a charming smile that it was bedtime!
Fatty watched dumbfounded as Ann Lei climbed the stairs, her hips swaying slightly. He suddenly understood that with the passage of time, the girl he grew up with, like a charming little elf in the sunlight, had grown into a woman full of allure, completely mature both physically and mentally.
What made it even worse was that she was a current Lieutenant Colonel trained by the Leray Military Intelligence Bureau!
That wicked female spy!
The next morning, when Fatty woke up, the morning sunlight was already streaming through the curtain gaps onto the bedside. In the garden below the small building, Mother Ann was talking to Ann Lei. Occasionally, Ann Lei’s coquettish voice could be heard.
A brilliantly colored blue-beaked lark landed on the balcony from the sunlight. It quietly hopped back and forth a few steps, cautiously looked around, and then stopped. After only a few seconds, it pecked at its wings and took off, chirping twice in the air before flying into the distant trees.
Fatty lay lazily on the bed, not wanting to move a finger. Such peaceful days had been away from him for too long. Each minute and second of such mornings was so precious. Being able to lie here, listen, watch, and feel life was a great happiness.
A tingling laziness swept over his entire body. Fatty leisurely stretched and lay back down on the soft bed, feeling so comfortable that he couldn’t help but moan.
"Sweetie! Time to get up!" Accompanied by the sound of high heels, Ann Lei’s voice rang out from the door.
"Not getting up!" Fatty said petulantly.
"Get up..." Ann Lei turned the doorknob... "Ah!!!"
The small building echoed with two simultaneous screams.
"Why aren’t you wearing clothes, you pervert! You lecher!" Ann Lei yelled frantically.
"Why did you just barge into someone’s bedroom, you she-wolf, you voyeur!" Fatty countered, covering his essentials with his hands, embarrassed.
"Sweetie, you’re dead!"
Ann Lei pounced. The room filled with Fatty’s cries of pain and Ann Lei’s giggling laughter.
Amidst Ann Lei’s occasional screams and gasping laughter, Mother Ann was bustling around the steaming kitchen downstairs, washing vegetables and kneading dough quickly while occasionally slipping freshly steamed buns into the mouth of a little kid next to her.
Spoiled completely like a child by the old lady, the little kid didn’t mind these games at all. Without the experience of growing up, it had a great curiosity about human emotions. Integrating into a family was a rare experience for it.
If being with Fatty allowed the little kid to experience unconditional trust and unrestrained jokes akin to friendship, then next to the kind Mother Ann, it felt an indescribable and deeply comforting sense of attachment, making it feel truly human rather than a lonely Artificial Intelligence.
When Fatty descended the stairs with Ann Lei clinging on his back and saw the little kid, he nearly burst out laughing.
The little kid’s chubby face was covered in flour. Holding onto Mother Ann’s clothes, it followed her in and out between the kitchen and dining room, stuffing buns into its mouth nonstop. Whether its artificial body knew the taste of buns was unknown, but in any case, those buns were wasted.
Peaceful days often passed uneventfully, even seeming a bit monotonous. After breakfast, Fatty would accompany Mother Ann for a walk in the forest park adjacent to the residential area. They would also stop by the Space City supermarket to buy some groceries, and then return home to help Mother Ann prepare lunch.
Fatty never competed with Mother Ann for the joy of cooking. He and the little kid just lent a hand on the side. For the elder, filling the table with dishes she cooked herself and watching her children enjoy them heartily was the greatest fulfillment in life.
