CHAPTER 470: THE WOMAN WHO BLED FOR HIS PLAN

Anyone who reached near the Ashen Crucible died. That’s what everyone had heard and that’s what everyone had believed.

After all, only a few returned from that place and this was when they hadn’t even reached near the Crucible. They had felt that if they took one more step, they would die.

Because of this, no one was able to enter inside the Crucible. Whoever tried to force themselves inside, were met with nothing but death.

When the soldiers had heard the war would take place in this place, they all believed that the war wouldn’t happen because no one would be able to enter anyway.

The soldiers knew about it but when they saw Pablo standing inside the Crucible with no problem and still alive, all of them went nuts.

Murmurs spread around the whole army and even Harlia was at shock for a moment.

Seeing Pablo standing inside the Crucible, they all reached two conclusions.

Either the Ashen Crucible stopped killing people or Pablo Castillo was a man of a different breed.

Meanwhile, Pablo. He was just at the starting line of the place and he already felt all kinds of emotions.

He felt that he was allowed

to enter inside. If it were someone other than him, Pablo believed that they would have died.

Also, inside his mind, he heard cries and constant roars of dying men. Their voices reverberated inside his brain and they were roaring as if they were trapped in the soil of the place for eternity.

Nevertheless, he showed no fear and pain in front of the soldiers as he wanted no one to be afraid. He wanted the soldiers to forget their fear and come inside the Crucible as well.

But he won’t ask them to come inside yet. Because Pablo was sure that this place kills. After all, the man who put the board beside the place had died just after doing that.

So, before calling the soldiers, he would do a trial.

And the best person to perform this trial on was none other than his self proclaimed wife. Seraphina Herald.

But before that, he looked at his Angel, Cupid who floated beside him while holding her head.

’Are you also feeling something, angel?’ He asked.

"Yes. The voices are too loud. This place is haunted, Pablo. All the rumors about this place weren’t rumors. If it could make an Angel like me face all this, then this place is definitely corrupted."

Cupid trembled many times in one second but she managed to hold on like Pablo.

Pablo believed he would soon build resistance about this but he wasn’t sure about the soldiers. Harlia would manage as well, Draxus too and other people who were strong. But the soldiers, they might go mad if they heard such roars inside their mind.

That’s why, he became sure of his decision and decided to do a trial.

He looked at Sera and said: "Try to come here. And you can use protection. But take the first step without protection and when your protection sees that you are having trouble, allow it to protect you."

Pablo talked vaguely about Andrezj to Sera but the girl was smart enough to understand it. He had talked like that to not make the other people suspicious about Sera’s special ability of having an Angel.

Meanwhile, Sera was just happy that Pablo called her so after only saying take care of everything to Andrezj, her guardian angel, she walked towards Pablo. With a smile.

Pablo didn’t give a shit to her smile and only watched her with attention to see what would happen to her if she reached near the Crucible.

Sera walked with no worries as her only goal was Pablo but when she reached near the Crucible, she stopped.

Pablo frowned as he saw no damage on Sera but after a second, his brows shot up.

From Sera’s nose, blood dripped.

She began twitching, her eyes went all white, her legs gave out and the girl began falling on the ground.

But that’s when her protection came into play.

Andrezj instantly spread his arms, muttered something under his breath and soon, a white light engulfed Sera.

Only Pablo and Cupid saw that light and inside that light, Sera’s eyes returned to normal.

Blood stopped flowing from her nose and she felt her legs again.

Her face winced in pain but when her eyes fell on Pablo, she forced a smile and kept walking towards him.

This time nothing happened to her and she finally reached inside the Crucible and stood beside Pablo.

White light still engulfed her even after she was inside the place. Andrezj was now afraid that if he let go of his light then his dearest would die.

The male Angel also heard cries inside his head but unlike Cupid, he paid them no mind as he was the strongest Angel.

But he was surely enraged by Pablo so enraged that he appeared before the man.

"How dare you make my dearest go through this? She is not a monster like you. Just because you can enter doesn’t mean she can too!"

Pablo sighed. ’She has you for her protection. That’s why I called her here in the first place. Now that I know your protection works, I have already found a way.’

"I am not helping you one bit!"

’Oh, you will. But before that, remove your protection. I want to see if she will again face problems if you are not with her.’

"No way! I am not removing my protection from her." Andrezj refused right away.

Pablo let out a tired sigh as he expected this so he simply asked the main person.

"Sera, try to remove your protection now. I want to see if you can handle this place without that or not."

"As you say." Sera obliged instantly and snapped her fingers.

The snapping of her fingers was an order for Andrezj and since she ordered him, he had no choice but to oblige.

With a reluctant heart, he removed the white light from around Sera but kept himself ready to use the light again.

As soon as the light vanished from around Sera, Pablo waited with bated breaths to see what would happen.

Sera had bled just by standing near the Crucible. And now she was inside it. At worst, only one thing would happen.

The girl would die.
