CHAPTER 472: THE VOICES IN MY HEAD ARE LOUDER

Admiral Harlia was inside the Crucible.

Pablo, Sera and now Harlia were inside as well.

Andrezj removed the white light from around the Admiral and she instantly felt thousands of voices inside her head.

But she didn’t even flinch and kept her face like it suffered no pain.

Also, she had described her experience about the white light to the soldiers while walking towards the Crucible and she only said good things about it.

But no one knew that some of the things she said were straight out lies.

She only felt warm inside the white light dome. She didn’t feel like she was being healed. She didn’t feel like her fatigue was going away. She only said those things to make the soldiers feel at ease and it worked as well.

The soldiers talked about themselves and when Pablo heard them, he smiled because all of them were talking about going inside.

Pablo won’t miss this chance so he spoke right away.

"See? Nothing is wrong with it. That’s why, all of you should come at once. We don’t have to do it one by one anymore. Come all at once and we shall rest inside this place. And imagine what your families and many others would feel when they hear that we broke the fear of this place and rested inside it like madmen. Imagine what they would feel about us when they read the story written by Jaun. So, kill the fear and come inside."

Pablo said with all the conviction in his voice and his talking worked as everyone began marching towards the place.

Pablo, Harlia and Sera moved back to give space to the soldiers to come inside and he also asked Sera if her protection would work on all the billions of the soldiers.

Sera asked about it to Andrezj and the male angel said yes and Pablo asked Sera to do it.

Sera then asked Andrezj to do it and the next second, Andrezj’s white light covered everyone.

Each and every soldier felt nothing when they reached near the Crucible and when they saw a few soldiers enter without any problems, all of them began running.

They all ran inside the place as they were afraid of the Crucible acting up mid-way and like that, in no time, the whole Forza army was inside the Ashen Crucible.

Pablo and Harlia stayed at the back of the soldiers and Pablo asked the woman, "Is this the only entrance to this place?"

Harlia shook her head. "No. There are three entrances. But I believe the Vampires and the Cannibals would use the same entrance as they had joined hands."

Pablo nodded. He wondered which method Malvador and the Cannibals would use to enter this place as the rumors were true. Anyone who tries to enter this place dies. He had seen first hand with Sera. She almost died when she came near it without Andrezj’s protection.

Pablo also wondered why he was the only one who was able to enter without any problem and protection? Also, now that he was inside he thought what would this place do now? It was stopping anyone from entering it but now that they were inside, what would be the next step of this place? Or would it let them be and do nothing?

Pablo decided that he would think about it later and if something did happen, he would again ask Sera to ask Andrezj to deal with the problem.

He looked around to see any misshappenings and apart from some soldiers holding their legs and vomiting, he saw no change.

The voices sure are getting heavier. It would be hard to ignore them.

The soldiers were fighting against their own mind and Pablo didn’t blame them for vomiting and shouting. He believed it would take some time to become accustomed to all this.

After the soldiers, Pablo looked around the ground and he was sure that he hadn’t seen something like that.

Smoke was coming from certain parts of the ground and he was amazed that for all these years, this smoke never stopped.

The ground was big, bigger than any other place Pablo had seen in Seraphim or on Earth.

This place screams that it is made to host a war.

Pablo sat on one knee and touched the soil of the ground.

As the soil, there was only grey dust. And this wasn’t just grey dust, they were ashes.

The whole place had ashes as if it was a beach but instead of sand, it had ashes.

Two races, many humans, Elves, Vampires, and dragons died here after all. Is this their ashes? And the dragon king flamed this whole ground in rage. Is that why the smoke never stops coming out of it?

Pablo tried to find answers but he believed he would get all the answers in the war.

He picked some ashes from the ground and examined it.

Yeah. They are really ashes.

He let go of them and stood up.

Harlia was beside her and she was doing the same as Pablo. She was also looking around but Pablo saw that the woman had a smile on his face.

"Something happened?" He asked.

Harlia looked at him. "I always wanted to have a fight here. I believed no one would be brave enough to enter here for a war so I only wanted a fight and I won’t lie, I was also a little afraid. But now that I am standing here and a war is about to happen, I can’t stop myself from smiling. If I met Malvador, I would thank him."

Pablo nodded. "I like that you are excited but you should take care of your soldiers. They are not like us."

Harlia sighed. "Yeah. I can’t believe they call themselves men and vomit over just some voices."

Pablo chuckled. "Everyone is not like you, Admiral. They haven’t seen enough shit to not be bothered over some voices inside their heads."

Harlia nodded. "Your soldiers aren’t doing that well either. They are also not like you. What kind of shit have you seen to not be bothered about these voices?"

Pablo smiled.

"I won’t answer that. But surely, these voices roaring in my head..."

Staring at the black sky, Pablo let out a heavy breath.

"They are nowhere near the voices I hear inside my head all the time."
