Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella)
Chapter 808
Why so sudden?
When Susanna heard the question, she looked at Hull with a worried gaze.
He noticed the way she looked at him, a flicker of concern showing in his eyes.
Susanna caught it instantly, her heart skipping a beat. "Did something happen to my mom?"
Her voice was tight, her nerves shot through with panic.
Hull frowned.
Susanna pressed, "Tell me. Did something happen to my mom?"
Now she was truly frantic, her worst fears wing at her.
Hull reached out and took her cold hand in his.
"This morning, on her way to the Elders'' Council at ck Gate, your mom and Lincoln disappeared."
Susanna stared at him, frozen.
"Disappeared?" she echoed numbly.
"Yeah. That''s why we need to go check it out."
Lincoln was one of his most trusted people. If even Lincoln had gone radio silent, Hull knew this was no small matter.
Susanna rushed to grab her coat. "Then let''s go. Now."
The news about her mom had her barely able to stand still-she just wanted to get to ck Gate, fast.
So, just like that, Susanna was on her way back to ck Gate-a ce she''d never had good feelings about, not since she first heard of it.
Meanwhile―
Yvonne, who was supposed to be making a break for it, suddenly veered off course as they neared the gates and started climbing the wall.
Chloe hissed, "What are you doing? We need to get out of here!"
No one had spotted them yet. It was the perfect moment to escape.
As for Dan, there''d be plenty of time for paybackter. Now was the time to run, at least as far as Chloe was concerned.
Yvonne shook her off. "Wait a sec. I want to see who''s got the guts to take Dan down this time."
This was Litamark, after all.
ck Gate''s influence ran deep here they practically owned the whole city.
For someone to challenge Dan like this? Yvonne''s curiosity was off the charts.
Chloe threw her hands in the air. "Girl, you do NOT have the energy to be a looky- loo right now! The sedatives haven''t even worn off!"
This was NOT the time for gossip, but Yvonne was already perched on the wall, peeking over with wide eyes.
Chloe groaned. Was this Susie''s bad influence? Did the thrill of drama really have no off switch with these people?
Outside the main gate, chaos had erupted. Both sides were shing, and Dan''s mansion had taken hit after hit.
Dan was livid.
"Xander, you bastard! You nted a mole in my crew?"
Forget the gate.
But now, one by one, the
guesthouses in his estate were blowing up, then the cars... Whoever
was Behind this had caug
his
people totally off guard. s
There was only one exnation: Xander had snuck someone close to him.
Xander spun a sleek pistol in his hand, looking rxed-at leastpared to Dan''s sheer rage.
Xander, cool as ever, gave a little smile. "Now, Dan, maybe you can tell me why my wife bit you?"fn3986 Read full story at Find~Novel/fn3986
He was smiling, but everyone could feel the threat in the air. If Dan said one wrong word, the ce would blow again.
Dan red at Xander, voice low and menacing. "You''d better back off swear, you wont make it out of
Litamark alive if you keep this up."
s
The words barely left his mouth before Xander fired a shot into the air. Another explosion rocked the mansion.
Dan was speechless, jaw clenched.
Yvonne, watching from the wall, felt her heart leap as another st echoed in the distance.
Thank God Dan''s damn mansion was massive-otherwise, she''d be toast right
now.
Xander''s voice cut through the chaos, smooth and unhurried. "So, to bring my wife out
are you
here yourself, or should Ie in and fetch her?” " s
His tone was calm, almost gentle.
But in that calm, everyone could sense the steel.
Chloe had scrambled up next to Yvonne, both of them gawking at the scene below.
Especially at Xander, who delivered threats like he was discussing the weather. Chloe couldn''t help but whisper, "Damn, Mr. Schultz really is something else."
