CHAPTER 329: CHAPTER 182 DEATH GOD RESURRECTED AGAIN
Luo Chen was at a bit of a loss at this moment. He glanced at Thunderstorm and noticed the other person’s slightly raised eyebrows, indicating he was at a loss for words about the name as well. Luo Chen sighed helplessly, thinking to himself: This Long Haotian is really something else!
However, despite his helplessness, Luo Chen did not refuse Long Haotian’s request to join them. After all, in this unfamiliar city, having another companion might not be a bad thing. Besides, judging by the youth’s appearance, he didn’t seem to be a bad person. So, he nodded, which meant he agreed to Long Haotian’s company.
Seeing this, Long Haotian was overjoyed. He quickly let go of Luo Chen’s arm and instead gave him an enthusiastic hug, "great! I knew you would agree!" After saying this, he began to warmly inquire about the two’s plans, as if he had already considered himself one of them.
Thunderstorm’s face looked a bit cold. He tried a few times to signal to Luo Chen, but Luo Chen seemed lost in his thoughts, not noticing Thunderstorm’s hints at all. Thunderstorm couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed, but he knew it wasn’t the time to lose his temper.
"Alright, you can come along with us." Luo Chen finally spoke up. He glanced at Long Haotian beside him. Although a bit unwilling, he had no choice but to agree, "but don’t say anything attention-grabbing again."
Long Haotian quickly nodded, looking at Luo Chen thankfully, "No problem, I promise not to say anything random again. But before we go, can you help me carry some luggage?" He pointed to the several heavy bags behind him, looking a bit embarrassed, "I hurried all the way here and didn’t get to eat, my hands and feet aren’t really cooperating right now."
Luo Chen glanced at the luggage, feeling a twinge of guilt. He hadn’t had breakfast either and was starving, with no energy to carry heavy stuff. So, he awkwardly smiled and said: "I didn’t have breakfast either, better carry them yourself."
Long Haotian wanted to say more but was interrupted by a cold shout from Thunderstorm: "If you don’t want to die, hurry up and enter the city!"
The main street of Nadas City was wide and straight, appearing endless from afar. On both sides of the road were shops with a dazzling array of goods and services. Restaurants, hotels, inns, blacksmith shops, pharmacies, jewelry shops... almost every essential shop you could think of was there. Each shop’s decoration and signage were unique, highlighting the city’s prosperity and vitality.
The street was bustling with people: tourists and passersby, some in a hurry, others leisurely strolling; vendors selling goods, some shouting, others enthusiastically attracting customers; and those cultivators in exotic attire along with other skilled individuals, either walking alone or in groups exchanging their insights and experiences.
Luo Chen noticed that most of the people had fairer skin and larger, stronger physiques compared to Eastern people. Especially their eyes, with strange blue or green colors, made him feel extremely fresh and curious. He couldn’t help but look a few more times, marveling at the diversity and wonder of this world.
The three of them moved with the crowd. Luo Chen observed the surrounding shops and passersby as he walked. Suddenly, his gaze was caught by a luxuriously decorated jewelry store. The display windows showcased all kinds of brilliant jewelry, so dazzling that he couldn’t take his eyes off them. He couldn’t help but stop and admire.
"Do you like these jewels?" Thunderstorm noticed Luo Chen’s action and asked indifferently.
"Mm, they’re beautiful." Luo Chen nodded, sincerely admiring them, "but we should find a place to stay first." He knew he didn’t have the financial power to buy such expensive jewelry, so he could only savor the appreciation in his heart.
Long Haotian seemed used to such bustling scenes. Dragging heavy luggage, he muttered, "This damned Nadas City is always so lively every time I come. I can never find a good hotel to stay!" His voice carried a hint of complaint, yet also an indescribable fondness, as if such bustle and crowd had become a part of his life.
Navigating through the crowd, Luo Chen asked curiously: "Have you been here many times?" He was a bit surprised at Long Haotian’s familiarity, considering they’d just met.
Long Haotian answered matter-of-factly: "Of course, I always come here whenever I can, just to consider it a little travel break." His tone was relaxed and easygoing, making it seem like Nadas City was his second home. Luo Chen couldn’t help but smile; he felt that although Long Haotian was a bit eccentric, he also had an inexplicable charm.
However, Thunderstorm didn’t join their conversation. He observed Long Haotian’s nonchalant demeanor out of the corner of his eye, pondering internally. To him, Long Haotian’s presence didn’t seem as simple as it appeared; he always felt the youth harbored some unknown secrets.
"Let’s go find a place to stay first. I hope meeting you two will bring me some luck!" Long Haotian said cheerfully, then deftly headed upfront. His understanding of Nadas City was clearly superior to Luo Chen’s and Thunderstorm’s. Soon, he led them to a luxurious inn—the Jin Shili Royal Grand Inn.
Upon entering the grand inn, Luo Chen genuinely felt like he had arrived in the Imperial Palace! The wide and magnificent golden hall, the elegant and noble decoration filled with exotic charm, all deeply impressed him. He felt his past experiences were so limited, as compared to life in this bustling capital, the distant soul cultivators, sects, and martial disputes seemed utterly out of reach.
Long Haotian was clearly accustomed to such an environment. He skillfully handled the check-in procedures, then led Luo Chen and Thunderstorm to their room. The room was equally luxurious and elegant, with complete facilities, making one feel warmly welcomed as if at home.
"How’s it? This inn’s nice, right?" Long Haotian said proudly with a smile, "I searched for a long time before finding such a good place!"
