Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox
Chapter 448 – The power of cuteness!
Aiko worked on her special flag pole, which could be used even on intangible beings. Well, mostly on Ghosts, but who knows what she might encounter later.
The main principle behind this would be to not touch tangible things, but the thing itself was supposed to be tangible for Aiko to use.
Unfortunately, she wasn't able to come up with a good solution since Inscriptions would make it somewhat possible, but the problem with them would be power.
Unless she packed enough power inside, it would be unable to do anything to powerful Ghosts.
'I also want to finish my Cauldron... this is such a pain in the ass...' Moon Aiko was finally fed up with everything and left her room.
...
"I didn't expect you to come back so quickly..." The Demonic Saintess was startled by Aiko's arrival.
"Yeeeah, there is not much to do, and I don't really want to rest." Aiko sighed.
It was definitely not because of that since Lady Liu would be teaching her manners again, and Moon Aiko didn't want to deal with that.
She wanted to do her research and not complicated human emotion thingies...
"Very well." The Demonic Saintess was a bit short when it came to time. However, she prepared most of the teams for the recon and other things.
"Then, if you wait a bit, we can start the tasks." The Demonic Saintess hummed happily.
...
Aiko waited for the Demonic Saintess to finish things. During this time, she observed just how skilled the Demonic Saintess was.
It was quite unbelievable to see her easily sort the Foxes by their weaknesses and strengths and then pair them so that the team was well-balanced.
'This seems too complicated.' Aiko could use her system on her members but not on someone outside.
Well, she could feel their general strength, but that didn't mean she could see it in numbers.
'It takes a lot of skill to do that, but the problem is that there is no way you can create a baseline to make things easier...' Aiko sighed enviously as she observed how well the Demonic Saintess worked.
"I want you..." Aiko sighed. With her, she wouldn't have to deal with making her current group work, and everyone would also be well-behaved since she was strong. It was the perfect bundle to get!
"W-what?!" The Demonic Saintess felt a shiver down her spine. She was very happy about Aiko's likeness, but the problem was...
The other Demonic Foxes had already trained their red eyes on the Demonic Saintess, making her even more flustered.
It felt like their eyes were saying: How could you betray us and get a head-start?!
The Demonic Saintess gulped nervously. "Alright. Everyone, please remember your teams and act accordingly! It will be difficult to challenge the humans since they have contracted Beasts, but we have to do our best!"
The Demonic Saintess steered their attention in a different direction, making them think about other things than Aiko's words.
"Aiko!" The Saintess murmur-yelped at her. She was upset that Aiko made things so much more difficult.
"What? I think you are doing a good job, and I would like to be part of my team." Moon Aiko tilted her head innocently.
"Then say the whole sentence!" The Demonic Saintess almost cried out when she noticed the Demonic Foxes snorting at her.
"We are in a difficult time, so don't distract them so much!" The Demonic Saintess pleaded with Aiko. Their victory was at their fingertips. They just had to grasp it, yet Aiko was making things more complicated for them!
"I'm not distracting them..." Aiko narrowed her eyes. "Well, if they want to spend some time with me and talk about stories, then they should finish this properly, no?"
Aiko's sentence ignited the Demonic Foxes' desires greatly. Stories from such an abnormal Fox would be a delicacy for them, and they would be able to share their stories too!
This would allow them to get a lot closer to Aiko and even convince them to stay in this place!
The Demonic Foxes immediately smirked or chuckled sinisterly. Some cracked their knuckles, while others pulled out their whips.
The Demonic Saintess recoiled slightly. This kind of fervent reaction only happened at the start of their war, and it declined greatly.
This was naturally a good thing for the Demonic Saintess as it would allow her to control them better!
...
Aiko was sitting in front of the Table Map and explaining it to the Demonic Saintess again.
Thanks to her 'encouragement', most Demonic Foxes were preparing for this war with great enthusiasm.
"I was wondering if you have any materials in here?" Aiko narrowed her eyes.
"Most were used for Treasures and this base. So, unfortunately, we only have leftovers..." The Demonic Saintess was greatly amused by this Table Map. Unlike how they operated, this one made things a lot easier.
Not only did it work as a magnifier, but it could also move around and change the focus.
This would greatly help the Demonic Saintess to identify the Human bases and raid them safely.
Even Humans needed resources to survive in this place, so if they disabled their Protective Arrays, it would make everything a lot easier.
"But it's not very accurate..." The Demonic Saintess frowned.
"You wanted to improve the accuracy when it came to 'Lifeform Seeking Function'..." Aiko sighed. The Building Seeking Function was quite blurred, but you were still able to make out the buildings with some difficulty.
"I know..." The Demonic Saintess groaned.
"I can try and connect another table to enhance the Building Seeking Function?" Aiko didn't know if it would work, but why would they have more connection ports if it couldn't be used?
"You can do that?" The Demonic Saintess was startled.
"I don't know." Aiko shrugged like it was not her problem.
"You-" The Demonic Saintess pinched Aiko's soft cheeks. This way, Aiko wouldn't play with her like that, but also didn't anger the Demonic Foxes.
They were already eyeing Aiko's body since it looked quite delicious to them.
"Why is everyone grabbing my face..." Aiko massaged her cheeks, wondering what was wrong with everyone.
"Hmpf." The Demonic Saintess snorted like she wouldn't answer her.
Aiko just rolled her eyes and went to look for more Table Maps.
...
Aiko had 3 more Table Maps that she could use. It was not because there weren't more working. She was actually able to fix a few of them, but the issue was the Inscription Marbles.
She didn't have enough of them or enough with high enough efficiency that they were worth it.
As such, she was quite limited when it came to this.
"What are you thinking about?" The Demonic Saintess always maintained a respectful distance from Aiko, but whenever she was curious, she would close that gap.
"I need more of these, but there are none that could be used well..." Aiko groaned unhappily.
"We can make those." The Demonic Saintess blurted out.
"I know, right? It's difficult to make-" Aiko blinked a few times. "What...?"
"We can make those." The Demonic Saintess repeated her words as she savoured Aiko's expression.
"You can make these...?" For some reason, Aiko was quite angry. Most of her time was spent figuring out how efficient the individual Inscription Marbles were, but now she just told her that they could be created?!
"There is a Demonic Fox slacking off." Aiko suddenly said.
"Where?" The Demonic Saintess turned her body around so that she could scold that Demonic Fox.
"There is no one there?" The Demonic Saintess tilted her head.
Slap
Aiko gave her a good slap on her ass, for making her work through all of that when they could create new and highly efficient Inscription Marbles!
"Kyaaa!" The Demonic Saintess yelped since not even her hubby slapped her ass.
The other Demonic Foxes turned towards them with narrowed eyes. They smelled something juicy, like something incredible just happened, but they missed it!
The Demonic Saintess was completely red in the face and wanted to scold her, but Aiko just snorted at her and ignored her as she walked towards the Demonic Foxes.
"I would like to get around 10-20 of these. Can you make them?" Aiko made a cute expression to get them hooked and for them to put their back into this.
"O-of course!" One Demonic Fox answered, and then part of the group departed.
"D-did you see that?"
"She was s-so cute!"
"Your nose is bleeding, be careful."
"Ah, I can't stop..."
The Demonic Saintess was flabbergasted at how Aiko was able to wrap her Foxes around her finger.
What was more, that slap was quite... good. She was unable to correctly describe it, but the warmth behind that slap was still there, and it made her feel quite aroused.
Aiko... gave birth to another masochist.
...
Aiko wouldn't talk with the Demonic Saintess until she obtained those Inscription Marbles.
"Thank you so much~" Aiko hummed happily, and the Demonic Foxes fangirled after her.
"We probably shouldn't give her that Technique, right?"
"You think so?"
"What if she can master it, and we won't see these cute expressions again?"
"Oh..."
"..."
Aiko ignored their words since she would be able to get her hands on that Technique even if they tried to stop her.
It was nice that these Demonic Foxes missed the company of other Foxes. It made this whole thing a lot easier for Aiko.
"What are you going to do now?" The Demonic Saintess saw her impatient Foxes, but it was not like she could do anything about it for the time being.
"We will start exploring soon, get prepared!" The Demonic Saintess shouted.
"You can play with the Table Map for now, and I will just join more Table Maps together." Aiko nudged her to move out of the way so that she could test the efficiency of the Inscription Marbles.
At first, the Demonic Saintess pouted, but she still made room for Aiko so that she could work on the Table Maps.
...
'Incredible...' Aiko couldn't believe her eyes as each Inscription Marble was perfect. All of them had 100% efficiency, which allowed Aiko to sharpen the images quite easily.
"Ohhhh-!" The Demonic Saintess made a loud noise, and the Demonic Foxes immediately went around her to look.
"Oh! Those are our rooms?"
"This is so detailed-!"
"Doesn't that mean we will win the war? The Humans only see blurry buildings, but we can see clear outlines!"
"How exciting~!"
The Foxes happily chatted with each other. It seemed like this war would be so easy...
