CHAPTER 54: I’M SORRY

Hearing Xiao Mao’s panicked voice, Yu Shi Lan took a deep breathe and poked the cat’s head. "Don’t try to provoke any other animals."

She wouldn’t have the energy to deal with them.

"Meow." I’m sorry.

Xiao Mao lowered her head guiltily and Yu Shi Lan only sighed.

While a cultivator did fight against the fate and all... it didn’t mean that she wanted to seek her own death!

Provoking powerful opponent one after another, Yu Shi Lan suddenly felt that it would have been better for her to stay in the temporary camp. Even though her improvement would be slowed down, but it’s safer, right?

Uh, no.

Thinking about her classmates that she met there, Yu Shi Lan’s lips curled up in a mocking smile.

If she stayed in the temporary camp, who could say for sure whether she would meet with other people from the same school?

Just thinking about the dramas that those people enacted, Yu Shi Lan felt immense disgust.

She didn’t want to stay close to them in the slightest bit.

"Forget it. Just be careful next time." Yu Shi Lan patted Xiao Mao’s head. Even though this cat only knew how to make troubles because of their changes, but it was also thanks to Xiao Mao that she could come here.

Besides, she couldn’t possibly abandon Xiao Mao.

"Meow." I will

"The Green Planet is different from the cultivation world. There are still the so called laws restraining us and some surveillance cameras might be working. If my action of killing are captured, I might not be able to enter the base in the future..."

Yu Shi Lan was trying to explain the common sense of the Green Planet to Xiao Mao while she checked the tiger.

She didn’t immediately approach it after it stopped moving.

Who knows whether the tiger was faking its death?

Only when the blood pool had become so big did Yu Shi Lan came forward and started to skin the tiger and cut off the meat.

But she only cut off the leg parts.

Because Yu Shi Lan didn’t know whether this tiger had eaten human beings or not and she didn’t want to practice cannibalism by eating the stomach part or something close to it.

Besides, she was not that eager to eat meat.

There were still other types of meat nearby, so the four legs would be more than enough.

"Meow." Are you going to leave this here?

Xiao Mao was trying to digest the knowledge that Yu Shi Lan taught it while looking at the tiger that was cut down by Yu Shi Lan. The smell of blood didn’t affect her in the slightest bit.

Both of them were used to an even more cruel scenes when they were still in the cultivation world.

After all, many creatures were trying hard to survive and become stronger, so fighting has become commonplace.

Killing was also extremely common.

Even Yu Shi Lan didn’t know how they managed to maintain their high population with so many people dying every single day.

Then again, cultivators could live for hundreds of years. By the time they fully grown up, there would be new generation ready to inherit their mantle or something like that.

Yu Shi Lan didn’t know for sure.

She hadn’t lived in the cultivation world for long because she managed to improve rather quickly.

But perhaps, it was a bit too fast.

That’s why she failed her tribulation to advance to become a nascent stage cultivator.

"Ah, I can’t carry so much." Yu Shi Lan shrugged.

The space storage jade that she made was not big enough to fit all of the tiger’s corpses inside. She didn’t want to spend hours to make another one again.

Anyway, she didn’t need it.

"Meow." Such a waste.

Yu Shi Lan rolled her eyes and then went to the other room. She saw that there was a large number of chickens that were still alive. It seemed that the owner left them behind and this place has been empty for quite some time.

Some of the chicken looked listless, so Yu Shi Lan started to check them one by one and picked a few that was still pretty good, killing it and then tossed it into the space storage space.

Xiao Mao watched Yu Shi Lan picking up things.

After it was done, Yu Shi Lan went to the freezer and took some of the beef stored there. The supposedly cold storage room has turned warm.

It was obvious that the electricity has been cut down.

"Meow." It’s so hot.

Xiao Mao frowned and looked at the row of meat hanging in front of them. If it was left behind like this, the meat will turn bad soon and would no longer be edible.

Truly a waste.
