CHAPTER 91: 91: SHOCKED

I was still trying to shove Damien away, trying to save myself cause I didn’t understand why I was this damn unlucky, but he easily overpowered me. "You should feel some shame, preying on me after knowing what I’ve been through today?" I hurled at him, cause now it seemed like I had lost all my senses.

He let out a laugh, then he was slapping me hard then grabbing my throat tightly. "Don’t dare run that mouth at me if you cont want me to kill uou right now." He growled loudly before slapping me again, but it seemed like something had happened to make me fearless cause I only laughed in his face scoffing. Perhaps it was because I could just tell that I’d up getting killed by the bald headed man tomorrow cause there’s no way I’d really do what he tasked me with doing.

"Go ahead and do whatever you want! I don’t care anymore!" I tell him and he gave me a disgusted look, then he steppdd back and suddenly feeling so drained, I dropped to the ground and fought of the urge to burst into tears. I had done enough of that but where did that bring me to so far? Absolutely nowhere.

When Damien began to unbuckle his belt, I tensed up as I glanced up at him, watching the dick smirk on his lips.

"Look at you..." he tsked and disgust gathered in my throat.

"I’m not gonna make it hurt. I told you before, I was gonna make it very good, but now, I don’t think I’m gonna do that. I’m gonna make it hurt." He gritted out as he stepped closer to me, reaching to grab my hair, and at that some moment, someone sudddnly kicked him hard in the back of his head and his eyes widened before he fell to his knees in front of me, his mooth hanging open and blood tricking from his nose. I had initially let out a startled squeak, eyes widened as it landed on Jake.

How long had he been standing back there?

"Are you alright?" He asked me just as Damien got to his feet and wiped his nose then he turned and faced Damien, his face in a scowl as he spoke.

"Ah, the famous roommate! I had a feeling you’d be a problem since the moment you began to glare at me whenever I came to send for him." Damien spat out as he approached a furious Jake who was clearly fuming.

"So this is why you’ve been summoning him?? Knowing he’s no match for you?!" Jake demanded as he approached a snorting Damien while I stared at the two of them with wide eyes.

"What if it is? What can you do?" Damien taunted as he laughed.

I feared for Jake, wanting him ti stay away from Damien, who always had a strong sword on him everytime and presently wasn’t an exception.

"Then that means you’re dead meat!" Jake growled and I flinched as I shivered, my eyes widening cause Ive never heard him speak like that.

"I’ll like to see you try whatever still you might have." Damien offered and Jake approached him. "I should have come out here to tail you sooner. I just kept having a bad feeling today and I’m so glad I listened to my intention, which is why I’m gonna kill you tonight."

It was like all jake was doing was big talk, that even Damien began to laugh, till Jake rounded Damien with inhumane speed, continuously, making mg eyes widened in immense shock as I watched the sight before me. He was so fast and he moved almost like Sloan sometimes moved. As I watched him right now, it hit me that he was moving as fast as a vampire.

Like a vampire..,

My eyes widened and my mooth fell open.

Damien was clearly shock, he tried to grab Jake countless times but it was impossible at the pace Jake was presently running in. By the time Jake stopped running, he had grabbed Damien’s sword, and had it fully embedded in his stomach.

The scream I let out was muffled in my throat and against my mouth as I gaped at the scene in front of me. It had happened so fast that I hadn’t even been able to predict how it had exactly happened, one minute, Jake was still raving as fast as a wind, and in the next, he had stabbed Damien.

As Damien coughed out blood and fell to his knees, I coveted my mouth tightly to prevent myself from screaming as I gaped at the scene before me. Jake crouched before him and whispered something to him, then he was kicking him hard and Damien was letting out a broken groan as he fell to the ground and remained unmoving while he bleeded out underneath him.

By the time Jake faced me, my eyes widened and I inched back when he began to approach me, realizing that I wasn’t sure I knew him like I used to think. He had told me he didn’t have any magic ability and that what he had was only the little hypnotic skill and nothing more... but clearly he had lied, and he hasn’t seemed fazed at all after killing Damien.

Oh god. Damien is really dead!

Same Damien who saved me this afternoon from getting drowned this afternoon! Guilt flooded my entire body and I let out a squeak as Jake still came close anyway, then he engulfed me in a hug before I could even react.

"I’m so glad you’re safe." He said into my throat but I was frozen in his arm, staring frozen from across his shoulder.

"You killed him." I whispered and he pulled away, a regretful expression across his face.

"I didn’t have any other option," he muttered and I let out a sound of disbelief as I stared up at him.

"You have vampires powers? You told me you didn’t." I Pointed out and he glanced away. "I didn’t tell you cause you might get scared of me me and start to avoid me. I’m sorry."

Not giving me time to respond, he pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly again, shine I remained frozen and unresponsive against his chest.

There’s a sound of someone approaching and my eyes widened In panic. If someone comes on this scene, they’ll assume the worst. It was one of the slave and she was too frozen to utter a word as she came across, her eyes panning between the dead body on the ground and Jake and myself on the ground.

She was clearly about to scream, when in the next moment, with inhumane speed, Jake was pulling the sword free from Damien’s stomach and stabbing it into the girl’s chest.

I let out a scream this time.

"Why did you do it??" I demanded urgently as I gaped at Jake, unable to believe that he could kill like this without being fazed at all.

"She had seen us. We couldn’t possibly leave her out here like that, shell just go rat us out." He pointed out but I shook my head firmly.

"That’s still unfair to kill het just like that." I argued but he snorted.

"Look, it’s done. No use crying over spilled milk." He stated and I scoffed, hating that he was referring to someone’s life as that.

"I’ll take care of the bodies, so don’t worry too much." He said and I nodded weakly, too weak to even say anything else.

"After I finish up here, I wanna confess something important ti you." He said as he slowly approached me right now. I instantly stiffened as he came close, unable to fully trust him anymore cause now that I had seen this side of him, I feel very terrified of him.

I cleared my throat and nodded awkwardly. "Okay."

"It’s about the two of us." He says and I nodded again. "Okay."

Instead of pulling away, he started to lean towards me, and I ended up pulling away, my eyes widening with horror az his mouth landed on my cheek before he chuckled and pulled away.

"I guess I can just wait for that till after I tell you the full truth." He said as he chuckled again while stepping back.

When I made to leave, I told him I’ll be waiting in our dorm.

I didn’t head back to our dorm. Nothing made sense to me right now. I was so nervous and worked up right now, and it didn’t help that I could feel the poison heavy in my pocket right now as I made my way over to the Prince. At thev back of my mind, I was aware that I needed to make a descion fast cause comes tomorrow, failure to do as ordered, I’ll be killed. However, I just know I can never betray Sloan no matter what.

So what the fuck am I gonna do now?
