CHAPTER 94: CHAPTER 94: HAVE YOU EVER LOVED ME?

Ling Yueyue and Ye Anxin returned to school, climbed the stairs, and walked down the corridor back to the classroom.

It was now midday, and there were few people in the corridor. Some were eating, some were returning to the dormitory for a nap, and some were reviewing lessons in the classroom. Apart from the two of them, only a few scattered students passed by.

Ye Anxin and Ling Yueyue chatted as they walked toward the classroom. When they reached the corner, suddenly a person jumped out, grabbed Ye Anxin’s arm without a word, and pushed her against the wall, pinning her between their arm and the wall.

"Ah...!" Ye Anxin was caught off guard, her petite body slamming into the wall without warning.

"Anxin!" Ling Yueyue exclaimed. By the time she realized what was happening, Ye Anxin was already pinned against the wall, unable to move.

Ye Anxin forced herself to calm down, looked up at the person, and upon seeing the familiar yet strange face of Mu Rufeng, she frowned in anger and said, "Mu Rufeng, what are you doing? Let go of me now! You’re hurting me!"

Mu Rufeng’s eyes were red with anger as he snarled, "Ye Anxin, aren’t you something? We just broke up, and you couldn’t wait to latch onto someone else! I used to think you were pure and untouched, sacred and inviolable! But it turns out you’re just a fickle woman!"

"Mu Rufeng, you bastard, let go of me!" Ye Anxin was infuriated by Mu Rufeng’s harsh words and began to struggle vigorously. Unfortunately, Mu Rufeng held her wrists tightly, pinning them against the wall, with his knees pressed against hers, making it impossible for her to break free no matter how hard she struggled.

"Mu Rufeng, you beast, let go of Anxin!" Ling Yueyue came to her senses, rushing over to try and pull Mu Rufeng away.

By this time, Mu Rufeng was consumed by rage, oblivious to anything else. He flung his arm, sending Ling Yueyue flying. Her body slammed into the opposite wall, and her head hit it hard. With a dull thud, Ling Yueyue felt her vision go black and immediately fainted, sliding weakly to the ground against the wall.

"Yueyue...!" Seeing Ling Yueyue slump down with no response, Ye Anxin grew even more anxious, struggling even harder.

Mu Rufeng shifted his grip to Ye Anxin’s chin, pressing her writhing body against the wall with his large frame. His handsome face approached, asking each word through gritted teeth, "Ye Anxin, I ask you, did you ever love me?"

After knowing Mu Rufeng for three years, Ye Anxin had never seen him so crazed! Though frightened, she felt more anger than fear.

Seeing her not respond, Mu Rufeng roared, "Ye Anxin, answer me!"

Ye Anxin looked at him with disappointment and answered firmly, "No, never!"

Upon hearing this, Mu Rufeng wasn’t as furious as Ye Anxin expected. Instead, he looked at her with hurt in his eyes, "Then what were those two years we were together?"

Ye Anxin replied with certainty, "The reason I agreed to be with you back then was out of gratitude for your helping me multiple times, providing me with a strong support when my family was at a dead end. I admit, I liked you, but that wasn’t love!"

"No... it can’t be... this can’t be...!" Hearing the truth, Mu Rufeng shook his head in disbelief, his eyes filled with confusion and helplessness!

The scenes of past happiness flashed through his mind like film clips! These scenes felt as if they happened just yesterday!

He suddenly felt it was all so ridiculous. The woman he loved for years never loved him! He felt like a fool, a fool played in her hands.
