"So, when they asked me to make Ivory’s accusation against Ezekiel public, I had no choice but to agree. If I hadn’t, they would have reported my case to the academy."

"However, to our surprise, that boy... Ezekiel had survived. After he revealed his strength, I realised that he isn’t ordinary. He’s still standing, even after everything that’s been thrown at him."

"What’s the name of this pill?" Sarafina asked.

"It’s called the Phoenix Sword Embryo Empowerment Pill," Fredric responded.

"Do you know the name of the Descendant of the Zahara Clan behind this?" Sarafina pressed.

"No, I don’t. Apart from letting me know that they are descendants of the Zahara Clan, they are anonymous. The reason I’m certain of their identity is due to Ivory’s cooperation. She’s probably aware of who this individual is," Fredric replied, shaking his head.

"Tskk!! That makes this even more problematic. It seems they planned to use you as a scapegoat just as they had done for my student," Sarafina said, sounding annoyed.

"There’s no way you couldn’t have noticed. However, due to your current state, you didn’t dare resist. To watch an Awakener and Instructor of your standing be reduced to such a level... how disgusting!"

"Heh! So what are you going to do now? Expose me?" Fredric asked with a raised brow. "If I had known that you’d already contacted Ezekiel, I would have sped up my plans to chop off his head."

"Yes, I’ll expose you," Sarafina responded. "It’s bad enough that I have to deal with these noble brats plotting against each other; I don’t want to also deal with an Instructor aiding them."

"Besides, the fact that you touched my student and made me spend so many merit points unnecessarily is something I can’t ignore,"

Fredric’s expression turned solemn.

"Aren’t you afraid of the Zahara Clan coming after you once they uncover that you’re protecting the Worst One and targeting the Descendants of the Zahara Clan? Not even the Grand Avalon Academy might be able to protect you. Unless, of course, you plan on being an Instructor for the rest of your life," he barked angrily.

"Whether I live or get killed by the Zahara Clan is none of your business. Right now, you only have one choice, which is to wait here while I inform the Instructor’s Committee and reveal your actions to determine your punishment," Sarafina replied.

"In the meantime, you can have this."

Sarafina stretched her hand forward, her nail-polished fingers holding a greyish silvery pill with red strips to Fredric’s lips.

Almost instantly, Fredric became frantic. He opened his mouth and stretched his tongue as though trying to touch it with the tip.

"Disgusting," Sarafina said as she flicked her fingers, tossing the pill into his mouth.

Fredric gulped it down. Instantly, his face reddened with an expression of ecstasy.

"So refreshing,’ Fredric muttered as his body trembled.

’It’s truly a disgusting sight!’ Those were the thoughts that passed through Ezekiel’s mind as he looked at the scene.

To see a highly respectable Awakener and Instructor of the Grand Avalon Academy behave like this...

Ezekiel sighed before he could finish the thought and swiftly dismissed it.

Ezekiel opened the system’s notification alert he had put away while watching the video.

This was why no student had ever been able to display sword intent within the academy; by the time they reached that stage, they would have long graduated.

And it was also why Sarafina had been taken aback and nearly attacked him when her intuition sensed his sword intent.

Thinking back, Ezekiel couldn’t help but wonder how terrifying her combat senses must be to react so quickly in a split second.

Despite the increase in his Digital Core seed, Ezekiel didn’t feel any changes within his body.

After learning about the nature of a Sword intent, he realised this was something he needed to investigate privately to get more answers.

He opened another notification alert that he had put away.

Ezekiel couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement course through him.

With the help of Sarafina and Chioma, he had managed to hasten the progress of the quest. He had thought he would have to do everything by himself and hadn’t expected things to turn out this way.

Otherwise, who knew how long it would have taken him to complete the quest?

By then, he might already have been drowning in the Zahara Clan Descendants’ endless schemes.

Now he was a step away from completion.

All he needed to do was testify against Fredric, Ivory, and the Descendants of the Zahara Clan, expose the matter to the academy, and the quest would be complete.

The only issue was that they still had no idea about the identity of the Zahara Clan Descendant who had orchestrated all of this.

However, for Ezekiel, it didn’t matter.

They all hated him similarly and would never let go of an opportunity to eliminate him.

Ezekiel was lost in thought as he assimilated the information he had just learned.

Observing as Ezekiel fell silent after finishing the video, Sarafina couldn’t help but feel pity for him, thinking he was too gobsmacked by the revelation to speak.

She didn’t hide the contents of the pill, unlike she had done for Chioma, because there was no need to.

Ezekiel was the primary victim of this entire situation, and it would be nothing but an injustice to hide such information from him.

If his Instructor had failed to show him the care and attention he deserved, then she wouldn’t hesitate to do so, especially after acknowledging that they were all caught in the same situation.

"Are you okay?" she asked softly.

"I’m okay. I was just gathering my thoughts," Ezekiel nodded.

He handed her smartphone back.

Sarafina collected it and slipped it into her back pocket.

"Where is Instructor Fredric?" Ezekiel asked.
