CHAPTER 27: [ CHAPTER 27 ● NOT CHANGED MUCH ]

Meanwhile the two Ancient Demon’s after entering the city!!...

Came to know that the situation wasn’t as bad as they had concluded from the negative presence the city exuded from the outside!

For one! None of these demons- the inhabitants of this place knew about the utter devastation that has spawned not far from there city!

Well they knew about the spawning of the spatial vortex but not about it’s strangeness!! ...

As obviously none of them were capable of sensing the spatial and energy fluctuations that would enlighten them about the portal’s actual grade!

And though the Demon Dukes- Individuals at the First rank of the second phase of Ascension- have appraised the spawned spatial vortex personally!

They still were only able to make out that the portal was a First Grade! Third class spatial vortex! That being the case!! —

The life of the inhabitants of the city was going about as usual with nothing having changed!! ...

As some people were talking about going on an expedition to the forest nearest to Erythron! To hunt the demonic beasts to earn a living! And also for there own bellies!

While others where teaching there kids about the cruelty of the world!! ...

About strength being the absolute currency in the world or anywhere for that matter! But more specifically in the demon realm!

The teachings included both the morally currept things and accepted things! Like some parents were taking there kids to buy them there favorite slaves!

So that he or she could taste there first fruit of sexual pleasure! Use them to train themselves! To make them realize there actual status!

Realize that they were better then them! That they could do about almost anything to these objects! Torture them! Use them! Play with them or simply treat them as exactly who they were- mere objects!

And many other things amongst these!! ...

Moreover there were also some who themselves became there child’s partner! To enlighten them about the ins and outs of sexual intercourse!

There was no shame in incest in this society!! ...

Similarly as there was no shame when the demons talked about these stuff in public! It was the common sense in this realm!! —

For a father to take his daughter’s first or a mother to take her son’s first time was absolutely normal! Even brother and sister taking each others first time was in fact encouraged!

It was also pretty common to find parents who were in actuality blood related! Either by the bond of father-child! Mother-child or sibling-sibling!

These things weren’t something frowned upon in the demon realm! Like they were in some other realms!! ...

Demon walked the paved streets with his maid dutifully following beside him! The streets were very clean and well maintained!

Like one would think otherwise! As demons were majorly known for there causal habits of destroying things more often then maintaining them!

And while walking Demon also heard some people actually deciding and planning which noble house should they rob next!

Afterwards some others contemplating which woman to kidnap for there own enjoyment!! ...

Then there were also some who were discussing business! Demons of some greedy demonic family who were extorting the locals in the city!

There were some who were getting bullied! Harassed and even killed because a profligate young master didn’t like them! How they looked! Spoke or even behaved!

While there were others who liked someone so much that they directly had them kidnapped to become his or hers plaything! There property! There slaves!

And if the kidnapped refused- then there family was killed! Sold as slaves or used as entertainment! While the one who refused still became toy of the one refused!

All in all!! ...

The city hadn’t changed much compared to the times when the Primal One was still awake! And hadn’t fallen into his slumber!

The time when they portals hadn’t even appeared!! ...

Considering the reason of there appearance had already been linked to the weakening of the demon realm caused by his slumber!

Anyhow all that has changed is the increased atrocities that are being committed in the city or even the whole realm for that matter! They have by multiplied by a few folds! Nothing much!

Meanwhile!!...

Demon and Vanessa after roaming Erythron for about an hour or so! Learning and observing the mundane happening of the city!

Again confirmed that the inhabitants here truly did not know anything about the threat possessed by the spatial vortex that has spawned near them!

And that there wasn’t any major action taken by the two sovereigns!! —

Ignatius Pyrohrt and Ainz Doomsoul either! Despite the passage of full 35 days! Even when the vortex was bordering there Domains!

Not to mention the warning to remain careful and vigilant that the Progenitor of Seven Satanic Sins had given the Progenitor of Disastrous Flames all those days ago!

There was still no action taken!! ...

In any case both the Ancient Demon’s could’ve easily confirmed there previous conclusion with but a mere thought but they didn’t do that!

Simply because Demon did not wanted to!! ...

Instead he wanted to roam the city and explore it just like any mortal would! Whereas Vanessa couldn’t be more happy to accompany her Master in this endeavor!

And as someone eternal and the strongest- these small pointless things were the only something that provided him with joy! Comfort and entertainment in his boringly long and uneventful life!

Furthermore during this walk of his!! ...

From the many fragmented conversations! Demon heard of many different topic! From which he also came to know another another mundane peice of information!

That concurring these spatial vortexs that spawns in the many realms had in fact become a whole independent occupation in and of itself!

As indeed killing these Monsters found in the first grade portals which were said to be a widening system of caves and caverns with the strength of the Monsters depending upon the class of the portal!! —

Was unquestionable extremely difficulty!! ...

However the resources that these monsters carcasses provided wasn’t something that anyone with a brain could ever ignore!

This was the major reason why concurring the spatial vortexs had become a major occupation in life nowadays!

Aside from the immense aid that demons got in swiftly advancing in there Ascension ranks with every kill of the Monsters they scored!

As every kill somehow made there cores absorbe some amount of extremely pure demonic energy! Which was obviously what helped them in there swift rank advancements and was also very beneficial to them!

Not to mention the rich that came with this occupation also wasn’t something that these greedy creatures could ever hope to endure! Despite this job having already become one with the most fatality rate!

Moreover considering death in the demon realm was already as common as vegetables in the human realm!! ...

So this aspect of the occupation was never going to stop the demons from ever entering the portals for concurring them!

And for that reason there had already been many expedition parties formed!! ...

That would be soon entering the Third Class spatial vortex near Erythron to clear it! That being said all these parties only had mortal demons within there ranks!

Because again- none of them actually knew about the uniqueness of this portal! And even if someone told them- would they even believe such crap!

Atleast not until the one informing them is obviously stronger then the Demon Dukes who had appraised the spatial vortex in the first place!

As for the reason why these people were still allowed to enter this portal despite the beings at the top of the realm already knowing about it!?

It was only because when Pride had actually sensed the portal- a few hours had already passed! And when she came to inspect it!

She also sensed the presence of several other demons nearby! And after looking into the past!! ...

She saw that there was actually two parties that were lucky or unlucky enough to be actually present at the right place at the right time when the portal had actually spawned!

Moreover it had actually spawned without causing any sort of disturbances or fluctuations in the space of a place which was truthfully very fragile!

How a portal of its grade could do something like that was a mystery known to none!! ...

And things like these not only accentuated the solemnity of the issue but also garnered intrigue from the primordial existences even more!

Anyways if Pride wasn’t happened to be near the area after the time of the spawning! Then probably none would have never known about it!

Simply the fact that even the Mother Demon hadn’t noticed the strangeness of the spatial vortex when it spawned in her actual body- the demon realm itself was an undeniable proof of that!

Nevertheless those two parties consumed by there own greed! Hoped to clear the portal all by themselves! All so that they could horde all the loot for themselves!

Meaning if there were already people who had entered the portal!

So she did not see the need to stop the others from going in! That was why Pride didn’t mention this to the other progenitors in the meeting either!

As actually she was using these parties as test subject!! ...

Considering if they truly managed to clear this portal then all good! She would directly extract there memories from there souls!

To observe and understand what was so unique and strange about this portal!! ...

Not to mention through there memories she would’ve also liked to know- Exactly how mere mortals were able to clear a Fifth Grade portal in the first place!?

Which should’ve been impossible by all means!! ...

However if they failed- then so be it! There were still many years untill the Monsters from the spatial vortex would start coming out of it!

Something which would only happen! If again- the mortals were incapable of clearing the portal!

Throughout which Pride was confident- No she was absolutely certain that she could’ve gained a vast amount of knowledge about these portals because of its higher grade with the help of the other originals!

As for the Monster outbreak- that was never really an issue! She would’ve instead used these Monsters as training material for the newly ascended Primordial Demon Gods!

If they died- it was perfectly alright! The realm never needed weaklings anyways! And if they survived- then they would only grow stronger!

It was a win-win situation from every angle!! ...
