CHAPTER 2: ???-TIER WEAPON (SEALED): ECLIPSERA, SWORD OF SPACE-TIME

As soon as he stepped out of the spatial gate, the gate immediately disappeared, making the intense situation lighter.

When Nyxrael noticed James, he immediately kneeled on one knee as he put his right hand in front of his chest and saluted.

"My lord."

"Nyx, you don’t need to be so polite to me from now on." James chuckled as he waved his hand lightly and helped Nyxrael to stand up.

"Thank you, my lord." Nyxrael stood up and looked at James with a slight bow.

James nodded and patted his shoulder with a faint smile.

"Before we settle some scores with some people, please help me bury the fallen soldiers that have tried their best to protect me before their death." James ordered.

Sigh!

He sighed and shook his head helplessly at the sight of his surroundings before sitting cross-legged because he needed to think about what he would do in the future.

After thinking about some urgent things and deciding what to do after this, he ordered the system. "Open Nyxrael’s personal information!"

[Name: Nyxrael]

[Age: 22]

[Race: Human]

[Rank: Platinum Knight]

[Attribute: Forbidden-level Dark Element]

[Qualification: Abyssal Knight]

[Skills: Netherclad Slash, Abyssal Shroud, Nightmare Chains, Soul Feast, Soulreaver’s Eclipse]

— — —

[Netherclad Slash – Slashes his longsword to release a crescent wave of violet-black flames, tearing through enemies and obstacles in its path.]

[Abyssal Shield

– Conjures a barrier of swirling abyssal energy that absorbs incoming attacks, reflecting a portion of the damage back as corrosive void energy.]

[Nightmare Chains – Summons cursed chains from the ground that bind enemies, dealing continuous dark damage and weakening their resistance.]

[Soul Feast – Absorbs the souls of fallen enemies to restore health. Each consumed soul empowers his abilities and fuels his ultimate.]

[Soulreaver’s Eclipse – Consumes the gathered souls to unleash a massive crescent slash of abyssal energy. The power and size of the attack increase depending on the number of souls used.]

Looking at Nyx’s personal information, James was satisfied and immediately told the system which trait he would choose using the 1x chance of duplicate chance.

"System, duplicate the Forbidden-level Dark Element Attribute from Nyxrael!" He ordered.

The reason he chose to duplicate Nyx’s attribute was obviously because he didn’t even have any talent to begin with.

In this world, people would awaken their talents when they reached 15 automatically. However, there were still some rare cases where some people didn’t awaken anything, which happened to James.

[Ding! You have duplicated the Forbidden-level Dark Element Attribute.]

"Use the week’s worth of Daily Sign-in!" James ordered the system.

[Ding! You have obtained the Gold-Tier Blueprint: Aureum Bombard.]

"Blueprint?" James frowned, scratching his head.

[Ding!]

[Host, a blueprint is a design schematic. Think of it as an instruction manual. It contains all the knowledge, steps, and required materials needed to build or craft a specific item, tool, or weapon. Without the blueprint, you would have no idea how to construct this device. With it, you know exactly what materials are needed, how to combine them, and the precise method to assemble the Aureum Bombard.] The system responded.

"I know what a blueprint is." James rolled his eyes, then snorted. "I was just confused about what I should do with it because I have never thought of getting such a thing from you."

"Anyway, since you explained it based on my reaction, you must have something like a passive feature where you will explain things that I don’t understand, right?" James asked curiously.

[Correct. The system is set to help the host with explaining information that the host needed.]

"Oh? Interesting... What kind of information can you provide me then?" James raised an eyebrow.

[The system has the knowledge of your past world, and you can basically use the system as your own Google. It also has the information about things that you’ve received from the system.]

James opened his eyes wide, as he had never expected that the system would have such features.

A few moments later, he was in a good mood, as he had tons of ideas that he could implement by using his past world’s knowledge in this medieval world.

But then he knitted his eyebrows when he realized that he should have received six more Daily Sign-in chances since he obtained a week’s worth of it.

[Ding!]

[You’re correct, host. There are six more Daily Sign-in chances that you haven’t used. Do you want to use them all right away?]

"Hmmph! Of course... What are you waiting for?"

[Ding! You have obtained the Gold-Tier Blueprint: Arcbrace.]

[Ding! You have obtained the Silver-Tier Cow Dung.]

’Cow dung has a tier? What the actual fuck is wrong with this system!’ James cursed angrily in his heart, thinking that the system was trolling him.

But then, not even a second later, he instantly became overjoyed because of the next notification.

[Ding! You have obtained the ???-Tier Weapon (Sealed): Eclipsera, Sword of Space-Time.]

He was ecstatic with the third reward as he knew that from his experience as an expert in reading novels, this kind of item should be extremely OP.

[Ding! You have obtained the Unranked-Tier Iron.]

[Ding! You have obtained the Silver-Tier Kitchen Knife.]

[Ding! You have obtained 1,000 Legendary Rank Crystal energy.]

James actually didn’t care that much about the rewards after he received the Sword of Space-Time, Eclipse. Because he was already satisfied and guessed that he wouldn’t get another priceless treasure like Eclipsera, and he was right.

Even though the other two were something that James deemed as trash, he was pleased with the last reward since it was actually something that could even be considered as treasures in the Steelheart Family.

"Let’s go!" James waved his hand with a wide smile at Nyxrael.

...

Both of them walked toward the main road, and before long, Nyx looked at James and said. "There’s a caravan ahead of us, and they should be from an influential faction in Stonewatch City, as there’s a weak Gold Knight rank among them."

"Nyx, go borrow one of their horses." James chuckled.

"Yes, my lord." Nyx nodded his head, then immediately vanished into thin air and appeared in front of the caravan and shouted. "Stop!"

The moment the caravan stopped, a woman’s voice could be heard from one of the carts. "Sir Roland, what’s wrong?"

"There’s someone who stopped us in the front, young miss." Roland explained, then chuckled. "I’ll take care of it immediately, please wait for a second."

"Okayyy, be careful," replied the woman inside the cart.

...

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Rolan knitted his eyebrows as he couldn’t gauge Nyx’s strength.

"You’re not qualified to know who I am, and I just want to borrow one of your horses, that’s all." Nyxrael sneered and tilted his head to look at the horse Rolan was riding and nodded slightly. "Your horse is not that bad actually. So, lend me your horse right now because I don’t want my lord to waste his time waiting for your bullshit."

Before Rolan could even get mad, Nyxrael took a step forward and released his Platinum Knight rank aura, pressing it down on Rolan and the horse.

The horse immediately knelt down while Rolan unwillingly bowed his head slightly from the pressure and breathed heavily for a moment before coming back to normal as Nyxrael retracted his aura back.

"Get off the horse!" Nyxrael said in a commanding tone, pulling Rolan back to his senses since he had been shocked by the sudden appearance of someone at the peak Platinum Knight rank in this place.

Rolan immediately got off the horse and stepped aside, letting Nyxrael go away with his personal horse.

"Sir Rolan, are you okay?" A beautiful woman with long red hair walked in a hurried step, her face was written with a worried expression.

"I’m fine, but I think there’s going to be a commotion in this region in the near future." Rolan wiped his forehead and looked at the woman seriously.

"My lord, I borrowed a decent horse from them." Nyxrael spoke politely after getting off the horse.

"That’s faster than I had expected." James raised an eyebrow as he walked over to the horse and petted it softly.

"How is it? What do you say in order for them to lend you their horse this quickly?" James looked at Nyxrael curiously because he was sure that someone wouldn’t do that based on how things work in the novels he had read in his previous life.

"I just showed a little bit of my power, and they voluntarily lent their horse." Nyxrael shrugged his shoulders.

’Obviously they would lend you their horse voluntarily if you did that shit. Who would be stupid enough to offend a Platinum Knight rank in this small region where even the strongest person in charge had only reached the peak of Gold Knight rank?’ James smiled and shook his head helplessly.

"Let’s continue our plan since we need to get this thing done before quickly going back to the original plan." James chuckled and got on the horse.

Both of them then went toward the direction where the caravan came from, and when they passed them, James smiled and nodded his head lightly as a small gesture since they lent him their horse regardless of whether they did it unwillingly or not.

"Huh? Isn’t that the young master of the Steelheart family?" Roland frowned when he saw the one who rode his horse and the Platinum Knight rank running alongside them.

"Yes, Captain Rolan. If my eyes are not deceiving me, he’s indeed the young master of the Steelheart family." One of the knights responded.

A few seconds later, a woman’s voice could be heard from one of the carts. "I heard that someone from the Steelheart family is going to come here, but I never expected that it’s him."

"But the thing that bothers me is why only the two of them, and they don’t even bring their own horses to the point of borrowing someone else’s." Roland pondered, putting his fingers on his chin as he looked over at one of the carts.

"Let’s not meddle in someone else’s business, especially those from the Steelheart family. Remember, curiosity killed the cat."
