"They're fine," Finn said, relieved after a glance.

Despite only Orsted and Ais fighting, they held their own.

Finn's group struggled.

The demi spirit's vine attacks and sporadic short chants kept them at bay, unable to close in.

After Orsted blocked the lightning, Ais circled behind, leaping skyward toward the monster's upper body.

Her Desperate, wreathed in a fierce hurricane, aimed for a devastating strike.

Even a durable Level 7 adventurer would be gravely wounded.

But as success seemed near, Ais' eyes widened.

The demi spirit halted its lightning, began a short chant, and conjured thin ice needles radiating lethal danger.

Ais sensed a hit could kill her.

Before the needles launched, a figure appeared beside her.

"Orsted?" Ais called softly, unsurprised.

Orsted didn't speak, raising Excalibur swiftly.

His Instant could teleport to marked locations or people he'd touched, like Ais, though it drained significant magic.

Ais understood, ignoring the ice needles and charging forward, Orsted beside her.

Demi spirit's ice needles shot out, faster than its prior spell, reaching Ais in an instant.

Normally, she'd abandon her attack, spreading Tempest's wind across her body for defense.

But she didn't, keeping the wind compressed on Desperate.

Orsted's actions—standing by her—signaled something...

'Attack without fear.'

Believing in him, Ais chose offense over defense, ignoring the deadly needles.

A golden barrier appeared, blocking the ice needles.

Ais heart stirred, but her hands didn't falter.

"Lil Rafaga!"

"Ex-caliburrrrrr!"

Excalibur erupted in golden light.

Emerald wind and golden light fused into a massive magic torrent, crashing down.
