Date a Witch: Reborn as the Witch of Lust! (GL)
Chapter 67: I’m not like you, Mel
CHAPTER 67: I’M NOT LIKE YOU, MEL
As Mel concluded her business with Ed and returned to the dormitory room in her usual pink dress, Lila was buried once again in her studies.
A prideful smile spread across her face. Tomes were clustered on the wooden desk, and Lila’s writing hand never paused in its steady note-taking.
She sneaked behind her again, before her arms wrapped around her Lila gently. "Not even changing out of your uniform?"
The Witch of Envy flinched slightly, then instinctively nuzzled her cheek against Mel’s arm.
She could feel how smooth and silky Mel’s sleeveless arm felt, almost too doting.
Nodding, she muttered sleepily. "Hm. I don’t have time to waste."
The Witch of Envy eyed the envelopes and basket of fruits settled beside her, frowning a little.
Then her nose twitched at another strange scent, one less wild than the one clinging to the blonde stuck with them.
That lingering scent confirmed it: her Mel had played with another woman again.
"That’s why I want to be praised more." Lila pouted, grumbling. "You always seem so busy outside. Is saving the World that much fun?"
[ Envy doubted if you take ’saving the World’ as an excuse for your womanising! ]

Mel pressed her chin against Lila’s shoulder, chuckling. "I can’t deny there’s a bit of my selfishness involved, but I also can’t deny I want to be the one who makes everyone live a fulfilled and romantic life."
"Mmm..." Lila returned to her notes, pretending indifference. "Seems too busy. You’re always so busy... I’d complain, but tonight, I just don’t have the heart."
She wrote her notes more firmly with strained fingers, unwilling to imply her insecurity to Mel.
The Witch of Envy knew that a petty complaint would imply her position in Mel’s heart amounted to a reluctant first choice, so she would avoid it if she could.
A mischievous yet observant glint crossed Mel’s eyes before she neared Lila’s neck.
She pressed a soft kiss to Lila’s neck, drawing out a quiet mewl.
And when she observed that Lila’s attention was still focused on her note, she pecked again.
"Mmm..."
Lila sat uncomfortably as Mel planted tickly kisses on her more times than she could count, before her hand finally loosened.
She turned her emerald gaze to Mel’s, meeting those golden eyes that shimmered with playful affection.
"You are more than free to complain to me, Lila," Mel whispered. "That only makes you cuter."
The Witch of Envy’s face flushed uncontrollably, not expecting Mel’s permission for her pettiness.
She hung her head, fidgeting with her thumbs. "But too... too excessive would only make things awkward. Makes me feel awkward."
"Then I will simply kiss the awkwardness away."
Mel’s finger tucked away Lila’s hair, revealing her reddened ear.
She leaned in and whispered against the earlobe. "Or do you not want to taste more of me?"
So unfair. Lila’s lips pressed together in arousal, the tenderness of Mel’s love overwhelming even her deepest selfishness.
[ Envy could no longer deny her desire for you! ]

Mel pulled back slightly, her palm smoothing over Lila’s hair. "Feeling too nervous?"
The Witch of Envy’s eyes squinted, enchanted by Mel’s patting.
She nodded with a quiet solemnness. "Nervous. But... not quite as well."
Her gaze drifted again to the basket of fruit nearby again. "My villager life is nothing without my Sister and you, Mel."
A guiltful, or perhaps an accepting, frown washed over her expression. "So when you say you’re here to prevent tragedies, I don’t think I can understand much."
She was determined to help - out of gratitude, and out of love.
However, hesitation occasionally sparked in her mind, not because of whether she could shoulder Mel’s burden but rather because of the simple concept of ’tragedy’.
"I think only of myself and the few I care about. Maybe I can’t look away when others are hurting. But if I had to choose, I’d protect you and Sis over anyone else."
She glanced down at her notes, pages filled with categorized magic spells, simplified to make up for Mel’s missed lectures.
She took a deep breath. "Maybe I’m not the type to play hero like you, Mel."
Mel blinked at the unexpected confession, and the depth of Lila’s insecurity was finally revealed before her.
Then, a chuckle escaped her lips.
For the Snow Witch of Envy to reflect upon her mentality was a tremendous growth from her original self, one that would bury other families alive without a second glance.
She uttered as she stepped back. "It’s alright, Lila."
Her eyes curved in delight. "I’d rather play with girls than play a savior."
Then, as Lila stared, trembling, Mel’s fingers tugged gently at her dress’s shoulder.
Grinning, she murmured. "Do I ever look like such a person with a grand ambition to you, Lila?"
The Witch of Envy’s brows raised before shaking her head. "Not exactly."
Even if she knew Mel’s core motivation led to her salvation, there was a simpler motive than that.
Lila’s lips curled up, almost relieved. "You just want to play with girls you love, right?"
"Hehe." Mel’s expression softened. "That’s about it, Lila."
Then, under the weight of Lila’s shocked gaze, Mel gently pulled down her sleeve, revealing her shoulder’s pale, milky skin.
Lila’s eyes flicked to Mel’s flushed cheeks, her soft pink hair falling slightly into her eyes.
The Witch of Lust exhaled. "Just like you, being by your side, and being the reason you lived a fulfilled life... was more than enough for me."
The dress then fluttered down, revealing Mel’s bare form.
Lila’s gaze shivered, her cheeks flaring up as her hands almost covered her eyes.
Yet Mel’s eyes locked onto hers, ethereal and sincere, pouring a lifetime of longing into a single moment.
"Shall I reward you now, Lila?"
Lila swallowed hard, her head dipping low.
Then, with a timid nod, she answered.
"Please... take care of me."
Mel let out a quiet chuckle again. It is a simple bath-together, yet Lila’s nervous charm made it feel like something far more delicate.
[ Envy anticipated more of your teasing. Enjoy what’s to come, Mel. ]
