Dating the Bossy CEO Next Door
Chapter 112- worth it
CHAPTER 112: CHAPTER 112- WORTH IT
Morrison ended the call with Dave and strode toward the bathroom. Earlier in the car, he had held back his urges, but fate seemed to be on his side now—he wouldn’t have to wait until they got back to Burg Eltz to enjoy her.
Dave was completely unaware of the subtle weight behind Morrison’s promise to "take good care" of Lilian.
After hanging up, Morrison tossed his phone aside and pushed open the bathroom door.
Lilian, startled mid-shower, let out a sharp scream and hurriedly tried to cover herself. She never expected him to barge in while she was bathing. The sight of her so vulnerable quickened Morrison’s breath.
In just a few steps, he closed the distance, yanked away her hands shielding herself, and pressed her firmly against the bathroom wall, capturing her lips in a searing kiss.
For Lilian, everything happened suddenly, catching her off guard—but for Morrison, this had been long planned.
He held her tightly against the cold tiles, claiming her fiercely and passionately. Later, the battle moved to the bed, where she was even coaxed into wearing that new lingerie she had reluctantly bought and photographed for him—sending him into a frenzy all over again.
By the time he finally relented, the rain outside had begun to ease.
Lilian lay weakly in his arms, feeling his steady heartbeat as she murmured softly,
"When we get back, we won’t have to hide anymore. If anyone finds out, we’ll just admit it openly."
The crash she’d witnessed on the highway had left an impression on her. The thought that one day something might happen to either of them before they had a chance to truly love each other filled her with a deep regret.
Their secret love was sweet, but true love should be celebrated openly, blessed by family and friends—not something to hide in the shadows.
Though she knew that going public might bring opposition from her parents and brother, she was willing to face it all without hesitation.
As long as he loved her back, she would stand against anyone who opposed them.
She wanted their love to shine in the light, to be blessed by everyone, so that if one day they were suddenly torn apart, there would be no regrets.
This sudden declaration surprised Morrison, since she had always been the most opposed to going public.
He flipped her over and pinned her beneath him, cupping her face gently as he asked in a low voice,
"Are you sure?"
Lilian nodded firmly.
"Mm."
Then, fearing he might doubt her, she reached up, pulling him down by the neck and pressing her tender lips to his. Morrison returned the kiss eagerly. Wrapped in each other’s embrace, they lost themselves once again in passion.
Finally, Morrison’s voice dropped to a husky whisper as he held her close,
"Do you know what will happen once we go public?"
The words lingered in the warm, steamy air of the bathroom. Lilian’s laughter tinkled like delicate bells, melting away the rare bitterness on Morrison’s face.
He bent down, lightly biting her neck, his voice a mix of helplessness and determination.
"My years of friendship with your brother... they might all come to an end. He’ll probably want to fight me."
The image of her brother and Morrison clashing made Lilian cover her mouth to stifle her giggles, but deep inside, a warm feeling blossomed. No matter how thorny the road ahead, she wasn’t afraid.
Seeing her amused expression, Morrison pretended to be angry and grabbed her soft waist, gently punishing her.
"Enjoying this too much, huh?"
Before she could answer, he pressed his lips to hers again, his voice low and tender:
"But... it’s all worth it."
That one word, worth it, was like a powerful shot of courage, dissolving the invisible shadows in her heart.
He was the one worth everything to her.
Meeting him gave her the courage to face love head-on and to dare to dream of a future marriage.
No matter how difficult the path ahead, as long as he was by her side, she had endless strength to keep going.
The two of them had been wrapped up in each other for hours at the hotel. Lunch was ordered by Morrison and brought up to the room.
With him around, Lilian felt like anywhere could be heaven, every moment filled with sweetness.
It truly was the kind of love that made even plain water taste like wine.
By evening, the rain had finally stopped and traffic returned to normal. After tidying up, they set off for Burg Eltz. It was already night when they arrived. Morrison immediately took Lilian to Tiffany’s place.
Tiffany had called earlier, worried about Lilian and asked her to come over as soon as she got back.
Standing downstairs at Tiffany’s building, Morrison looked at Lilian with a gentle voice:
"Take a day off tomorrow to rest at home before going back to work."
Lilian shook her head firmly.
"No need. Being out these past few days delayed a lot of work. I have to get back to the office."
She didn’t see herself as fragile and always took work seriously.
Morrison smiled mischievously.
"With your energy, I’m starting to feel like I’m not trying hard enough — I haven’t even kept you in bed yet."
Lilian blushed, swatting his hand off her.
"I need to go back before my mom starts worrying."
Morrison finally let her go, reluctantly but understanding.
At Tiffany’s, Lilian found the dinner Tiffany had prepared for her. After a shower and fresh clothes, she sat down to eat. Daniel wasn’t home, so it was just mother and daughter.
After asking about her days in a.t and the heavy rain on the way back, Tiffany got straight to the point.
"I heard from Laurent that you have a new boyfriend? Who is he?"
Lilian had expected this question. She smiled and admitted,
"Yes, I do."
"As for who—"
Though Lilian had bravely told Morrison she’d go public when discovered, she didn’t feel ready to tell her mother just yet. So she dodged a little,
"I’ll bring him home for you to meet in a few days. For now, it’s a secret."
What she’d said to Morrison earlier had come in a moment of passion. Now, calm again, she felt nervous but determined. She planned to talk things over properly with Morrison and find the right time to introduce him to her parents.
Tiffany frowned.
"If you tell me, I can help protect you better."
