“Lori, don’t be sarcastic with Ari,” Morgan interjected.
Ariel regarded their act with calm detachment. She didn’t even bother to prepare coffee for them. “Get straight to the point.”
Smiling, Morgan started, “Ari, I’ve been hearing… Jayson’s been making big movestely. It seems that he’s secured a rare market. I had people look into it. This investment of his could bring in millions of dors in profit every year. I’ve been thinking of making some investments myself. Could you bring it up
with Jayson and let us be a part of it?”
The industry had already been in turmoil recently.
Jayson’s move stunned countless people. It was terrifying for someone to secure such a massive monopoly at such a young age. And who wouldn’t go crazy for the profits involved?
Ariel stared coldly at his greedy expression. “Mr. Sanderson, you really have no shame, huh?”
Lori scowled as she red at Ariel. “How dare you speak to Dad like that?”
Ariel’s gaze stayed icy. “Weren’t you always saying I’m an outsider and you’re the true Sanderson family heiress? What, he’s suddenly my dad now?”
Lori was at a loss for words for a moment, then gave a cold snort. “That was so long ago. How can you
achieve big things when you’re this petty?”
Morgan frowned. “Enough! We’re here today to ask Ari for help.”
Smiling, he added, “Lori isn’t young anymore. I was thinking of having her join yourpanyb. /bYou can guide her and help her build connections. With you two working together, you could both achieve great
things.”
Some people’s shamelessness knew no bounds.
Ariel sneered. “Mr. Sanderson, has age only made you more shameless? Listen up. You can forget about
Jayson’s business. Your n to push Lori into Faye Tech won’t happen either. If you have nothing else,
please leave.”
Her dismissal left no ambiguity.
As far as she was concerned, her reply left no room for doubt.
Morgan’s expression finally darkened. His smile faded, reced by aplex look. “Ari, leaving no room for negotiation isn’t wise. You shouldn’t learn that from your mother. Apleteck of tact will only
cost byou /bdearly.b” /b
Lori’s eyes glimmered with restrained malice and excitement. “See, Dad? Since she likes to do things the
hard way, why bother being polite to her?b” /b
Ariel sensed the dangerous undertone immediately.
Sure enough, Morgan sighed and ced a photo on her desk. “I didn’t want to do this, but you’ve really
upset me.”
Ariel nced down. In that instant, her gaze turned cold, stripped of any warmth.
The photo was of her.
Four years ago at the hotel, Morgan arrived before the reporters. With his preparations in ce, he managed to slip in at just the right moment and tearfully demanded that Jayson take responsibility.
At the time, she was a disheveled mess, wrapped in a nket with no idea how to react.
This very photo was the proof of her “climbing into his bed“.
With her bare shoulders and neck exposed, the photo carried an overpowering air of seduction. It was
practically… a nude photo.
Ariel drew in a frigid breath. Her eyes turned cold as they settled on Morgan’s hypocritical face. She hadn’t imagined that her own father would secretly photograph her in such apromising state to
threaten her.
“Do you think a man like Jayson would want a wife whose intimate photos are all over the ce?”
