Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent
Chapter 47
Chapter 47: Chapter 47"We can take him into custody. There are some questions that we need to ask, but before that, can you unsummon your skeletons?" the guard reminded Aaron that his summons were still outside. "Sorry, my bad", Aaron replied as he undid his summonings.
One can’t use their magic in public areas as that could disturb the order of the area. Only certain individuals who have obtained permission can use magic anywhere without any restriction, but to obtain such permission is not easy.
One should be powerful and should have done great deeds in service to human society. The more one does deeds for the human society, the better their treatment would be but not everyone can achieve such feats.
Of course, the members of the alliance would also have such permissions as it was considered as the work of these members pretty important for the alliance, which could impact millions and the reason why they would have certain permissions that civilians can’t enjoy.
There are exceptions, of course, just like what happened to Aaron just now, which is such an exception.
If someone attacks you, you have the right to defend yourself with whatever means that you have at your disposal. No method is out of line.
So, using his skeletons is neither illegal nor a crime.
The reason why the guards told him to withdraw was because they were no longer needed to present as the culprit was already subdued.
Moreover, his skeletons were in the way, obstructing the guards from taking the man into custody.
Since Aaron knew about these rules, he promptly unsummoned his skeletons, making it possible for the guards to take away the unconscious man from the scene.
Though there were no physical injuries that they could see, they remember the ghosts that were guarding as they appeared. The man needs medical aid. Damage to minds is not easy to heal, especially if it takes too long after the damage happens.
Even though Aaron has pointed the man as an attacker, they can’t just believe Aaron’s words. They need evidence and until then, both are on the list of suspects.
Even if the man was the attacker, from what Aaron said, he didn’t know the man. So, they need to find the reason behind the attack, or else there could be more in the future.
In order to avoid that, they need to find if he has any colleagues and to do so, the man needs to be conscious.

"Your name is Aaron Skyhart. Is that Correct?" the guard officer asked Aaron, who came to the officer’s room to give his statement regarding the incident.
Though Aaron claimed to have been attacked and subdued the assailant, the officials need proof before they can prosecute the criminals. So, Aaron believed that it was a routine statement giving scenario, where he would give his statement and would be done with it.
The train guards would then handover the culprit and the evidence gathered to the police Officers, who then would arrest the culprit, who would be processed and presented in court, where the judges would execute justice.
"Mr. Skyhart, we see that you have booked the ticket to Dusk City. Can we know what’s the purpose of travel?" the guard officer asked him.
Aaron frowned a bit when the officer asked him the question. Normally, these questions are for suspicious ones, not the victims.
"Yes, officer. I am going to the Dusk Academy to join as the first year student", Aaron replied to the officer.
The officer paused for a minute before his face suddenly glowed as if he remembered something important.
"Wait, I thought I recognized your name from somewhere. You are the alliance topper this year", the guard officer exclaimed in surprise, and then he started to laugh.
"I never thought that someone who awakened Death Mage, that too more than a month ago would attract an assassin from the cult. This is truly eye opening", he laughed in a mocking manner.
Hearing those words, Aaron, who was pretty annoyed and fuming over, as the guard official was treating him as a suspect even though he was the victim, but now, that has reached a new stage.
He wanted to lash out and show this officer who felt that he was better than the top alliance student, but he controlled himself.
Unlike the officer, who is dumb and can’t see anything that is happening in front of him, Aaron isn’t. If he takes any action here, that could haunt him and might even cause him to lose the chance to greatness.
Aaron is not that stupid.
Attacking an official of the railway department, and that too someone who worked in the security department, might end him up in prison if not pretty damage to his budding career as an awakener.
"Are there any more questions, officer?" Aaron asked him in an unkind tone.
There was no need to be kind with this one who respects no one. They don’t know each other but the officer was already looking down on Aaron.
Even if Aaron may not reach Rank-7, it was believed with the talents he showed that he could reach Rank-6, but Aaron believed that he could reach Rank-7, a rank that other Death Professionals failed to achieve.
When that day arrives, he would definitely crush the official, but until then, no actions are to be taken against him, or the academy may disqualify him because of a criminal case.
Though the officer maybe mocking him, Aaron can’t just smack that bastard for those words. The defence would never hold in court and he may get jailed or fined.
He may be the top ranker but he has no pwerful backers and that means, he may face consequences of dire situations if he acts impulsively.
"No, there is nothing that can be considered as a helpful thing that would be possible from you", the officer said in a sarcastic voice.
Aaron quickly understood what the officer was implying. He was not even masking his words. He could only reign in his anger for now. He would have his revenge in the future.
Aaron briskly walked away from the officer’s room towards his cabin.
