Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent
Chapter 65
Chapter 65: Chapter 65The main reason why Aaron showed his power in the alliance exam was to get access to certain information that others couldn’t access.
While in school, the students were taught a few things, but much of the information was kept a secret from them. Some of that information would only be accessed when they attend the academies.
How much they can access depends on the academy that they attended.
The top five academies have higher access to the information of the world when compared to other academies.
This is why Aaron decided to show his power. He wanted a seat in the top five academies.
Moreover, most of the knowledge about the professions could only be accessed in the academies. As the academy that favors Dark and Death professionals, if he wanted to understand his profession to the maximum, he needed access to the library of the Dusk Academy.
Being at the top would automatically secure his seat in the academy, and it did. Also, there were many perks that he could enjoy by being at the top.
He got an S-rank contract, and through that, he now receives 1,000 credits per month, which was actually the pay for an S+ rank contract. In addition to that, his housing had a small library which had copies of lower level books, which could only be accessed if one paid for them at the library in credits.
Since the academy can’t give access to many Death-related resources, even though Dusk Academy is famous for its Death-related professionals, they made sure that he was given general resources that can be used by any professional.
This included the lower-level knowledge that doesn’t cost much and three general skills.
Aaron has five skills, but one of that was a general skill.
[Sprint] was a skill that could be used by any awakener, irrespective of what their profession was. It would be very useful if the profession was agility-based, but it can still be useful even if it isn’t. Sear?h the N??elFirё.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Since skills such as that can be used by anyone, he was promised three such skills as even the topmost academy lacks Death Skills, which are very rare to drop even in places that drop various skills in abundance.
Unlike outsiders, academies have various resource points, using which they build their strength on. These resource points are dungeons, a lot of dungeons.
When Aaron went out the previous day to check the facilities of the academy, he stumbled on the fact why academies were successful in producing a lot of higher ranking awakeners every year.
The academy has access to a lot of dungeons, and access to all those dungeons are at the same place called Dungeon Hall.
He was surprised when he saw those portals. The dungeons that are available range from Rank F to Rank S, and the hall is full of students coming and going through these portals.
Dungeons are typically formed where mana density is very high. Depending on the mana density, the ranks of these dungeons vary.
The ranks of dungeons start at F rank, which is similar to Rank-0 or Rankless Awakener.
It should be known that no two dungeons form at the same place, but how could these academies have so many dungeons in the same place? It was because of a certain costly transportation power.
Dungeons can be transferred from their place of birth to another place, which costs a lot of resources, and it is a cost that not many can bear.
Even powers that can achieve such feats lack Death Skills. So, one can understand how difficult those are to obtain. So, Aaron was compensated in other ways.
---
"I lack the knowledge the most. I am now at level 21, and if I go through a dungeon even a few times, with my 10xEXP bonus, I can reach levels that others take months of gruelling to achieve".
"So, levelling up is not the first priority. There are a few copies of books that were given to me for free. There should be a lot of knowledge in those books that I didn’t know. So, it’s best to read them to understand this world of monsters better".
"The issue is that I can’t spend all the day for reading. So, it’s best to divide a day for various activities".
"Hmm, every morning, I can go to level up as it was very much required more than anything. I can train myself using the facilities in the evening. I can use that training as a way to dump all the FSPs into my attributes faster than usual".
"In between these activities, food and rest are very important. I can just read a book or two while eating or resting my body to recover from the work".
There was no need to waste time. He could read the book with his eyes while his hand and mouth were busy consuming the food.
"Of course, this works when I don’t have plans to attend any of the lectures from the professors. I can’t learn everything by just browsing the books or levelling up. I can learn a lot, but that consumes a lot of time and resources".
"If I intend to waste time and resources like that, no need to attend one of the top five acamies. Infact, it would have been better to become a mercenary".
"Academies are after all established so that the new awakeners wouldn’t waste time looking for ways to improve themselves that are already present. After lunch, I should first check if any classes could be useful for me and then sign up for them".
I should change my schedule based on those classes, but the normal schedule should be as I thought before. For now though, it’s lunch time".
Having decided on what to do during his stay at the academy, Aaron quickly took out a book from the small library and started to read it while filling his belly with the food he prepared for lunch.
Based on the decided regular schedule, as it was already past noon, it was time to eat and read something. In the evening, he would use the training facilities to further reduce the FSPs that are still available in the status panel.
