Chapter 66: Chapter 66After Orientation, Aaron picked up a book to read. These books contain knowledge that was not accessible to school students.

    Why?

    He has no idea.

The book he just read while having his lunch didn’t have information that seemed to be problematic. It was like regular information.

Normally, information would be restricted if it was dangerous or had secrets that could damage the general public. This information didn’t appear to be so.

"Maybe they didn’t want to put too much burden on us until we reach this stage", Aaron muttered to himself, trying to find a reason why this information isn’t public, and he has to be in the academy to read this.

"Hmm, I mean, it’s classified as low-level knowledge and would only cost 1 credit to check the book. They even kept a copy for my use here. So, I don’t think the higher-ups are trying to keep this a secret".

"No, I believe they have another reason. In the academy, everything costs. Nothing is free. Even the free items that we have now would disappear in the second year. The academy’s only goal was to make the students work for what they earn and enjoy".

"They didn’t want freeloaders, and freeloaders would only enjoy benefits without showing a hint of gratitude or loyalty. This was because if you give away anything for free, the receiver would most likely assume that it didn’t cost you much or that it came free. So, they don’t feel much gratitude towards you".

"The higher-ups probably can’t have everyone thinking like that. In reality, I am sure that they should have paid a lot more than a credit to get this information. If everyone thinks that this information is free, that would become a problem".

"I believe that’s why everything costs, even this information that could be given out freely, and I can’t find fault with them. If someone improved themselves because of the free resources that the academy gives them and if one day they stab the alliance for some extra profit, what could the alliance do?"

"They may hunt that bastard down, but what about the resources that they invested in them? That would be a total waste. Now by providing ways to gather resources instead of giving them away, whatever that person earned would be because of their work".

"Even if that person betrays, the losses that incurred because of the previous investment would be none. Well, whatever he did would have caused losses, but at least they can feel relieved that they didn’t spend all those resources in raising a traitor".

"Making everyone earn what they can get, this is a very good plan", Aaron nodded in approval.

After lunch, Aaron went to the training facilities in the second building. According to the schedule that he came up with a few minutes ago while making lunch, evenings were for training.

He is not some lazy bum who would think to do things later on and can never start anything. He was someone who would do things as soon as he planned for it. To him, there is no tomorrow, only today.

    ---

Before he went to sleep, he checked his new status. After the training, there was a huge change in him, which he wanted to verify once before sleep.

With the help of the training facilities, Aaron improved faster. He dumped more FSPs into his attributes than before.

Except for INT and WIS, the amount of FSPs he dumped into the other four has increased by +5, making them increase by a total of +15. This was a good outcome for him.

Now, he can make the best use of those FSPs without letting them sit there on his status panel for show. If they are just there, they are indeed useless.

Unlike others who don’t get as many as FSPs as Aaron, they don’t have any problem while using those FSPs, but Aaron has too many. Dumping too many at the same time would make his coordination wonky and the reason why he would only slowly increase them.

Of course, with the increase in rank, he could use more FSPs to increase attributes faster without facing such a problem, but at the same time, with the increase in rank, the number of FSPs he would gain also increases.

So, no matter what, there would always be a lot of extra FSPs sitting in the panel. They would disappear if he stopped levelling up for a few days, but that was something he couldn’t do.

These last few days, he didn’t level up due to certain things like travelling to the academy and the start of the academy, but from the next morning, he could start levelling up again, and he didn’t want that to stop.

With the training facilities, that problem has been reduced. It didn’t truly stop being a problem, but with nowthe improved way of distributing those FSPs, he don’t need to stress too much as before.

Now, there is only a single problem before him.

His profession is Death Mage, which means he is a mage, a spellcaster.

A spellcaster depends mainly on INT and WIS. These two are the main attributes that spellcasters usually concentrate on. From the obtained FSPs, they would usually dump most of them on these two attributes.

Luckily, Aaron gets a lot of FSPs, so he doesn’t need to starve other attributes, but as a spellcaster, these two should be high as his skills solely depend on them.

Yes, not all skills in existence use mana. There are many skills that depend on stamina, which were normally for physical-type professionals, and spellcasters wouldn’t learn such skills.

Even though having higher attributes all around would be very useful, as a spellcaster, he has to improve his INT and WIS to a higher level, much higher than they are now, but as a Death Mage, he was facing some problems.
