Chapter 68: Chapter 68After deciding on what to do for the next seven days, Aaron went to sleep so that he could wake up early in the morning, and that’s what he did.

The days in the academy are very important, and that means for the next four years, he decided to have a strict schedule, which he had made the previous day, and he intended to make sure that he followed every day, every minute.

After waking up, he made a sumptuous breakfast for himself. He was, after all, going dungeon diving. He needs the energy.

Well, he made a tight schedule of levelling up and training, and he would need a lot of food. He was not an idiot who thinks that by reducing consumption would reduce the burden on themselves.

At that moment, that might appear to be true, but in the long run, that would not be the case.

Aaron gets a thousand credits monthly. His living quarters are free for the entire year. The only things he had to pay for were food, classes and dungeon entries. Other than that, there are no costs for him for a while.

For others, if they want to read a book from the library, they need to pay, but Aaron has a small library copy in his house, where copies of a lot of low-level books are placed. So, there was no need to hold back. If he holds back now, he will regret that later in his life.

After filling up his stomach with breakfast, he went straight to the Dungeon Hall, the place where the portals to all the dungeons in the academy are located.

    ---

"Hello, I want to enter the dungeon", Aaron asked the receptionist at the dungeon hall.

He had visited the hall a few days prior, but he had no idea about the procedures here. He only knew that entering the dungeon would cost him credits. Other than that, he has no idea.

The receptionist was a young girl who seemed to be the same age as Aaron.

When she saw Aaron, she understood that he was a freshman who had just arrived at the academy. So, she smiled and asked, "New student?"

Aaron nodded, acknowledging that he is indeed a new student.

"You can see the portals there, right? In front of them, there is a brief description and a scanner. You have to swipe your student ID card there, and after that, you would have a minute to enter the portal", she said.

"Oh, thanks for the help", Aaron thanked the receptionist and walked towards the dungeon portals.

"The receptionist should be around my age, but she regarded me as a new student. So, she shouldn’t be a new student. Is she a senior working as the receptionist?" Aaron thought as he neared the portal.

"Hmm, there are descriptions of the dungeons here, as she said. The description included the rank of the dungeon, the types of monsters, and the levels at which they might be possible. Hmm, why didn’t the dungeons in Rock City have such descriptions?"

"Maybe because they are already famous and all the information is known throughout the city. It’s probable", Aaron began to wonder about the dungeons and forgot about the receptionist and why she was working here.

He was right. She is a senior student who works as a receptionist here. This is a job that the academy lets students take on to earn some credits. It is a safe job that lets the students earn credits easily without facing any dangers. There are a lot of such jobs that would let students earn credits without diving into the dungeon or leaving the academy in order to earn credits.

Not all professions are combat professions. There are a multitude of professions that don’t involve themselves in fighting, such as crafter professions like alchemists, smiths, etc...

They contribute to society in a different way by crafting potions, weapons, armor, etc...

Even healer professions don’t need to take a weapon as they usually tend to the wounded. A high ranking healer can even heal fatal wounds and make sure the person lives on, as long as the injured were brought in time to the healers, before the injured expires.

These professionals would usually enter their own academies, but not all can, and they end up in academies like these, where most would be concentrated on fighting.

It was good for them as the combat professionals would buy the products that they buy, but the students are less talented and earning high profits at the early stages is almost impossible as the products outweigh the demand.

So, they would work in jobs like this to earn some credits for their immediate use.

    ---

"Hmm, what dungeon should I enter?" Aaron thought for a while.

"Should I enter the F-rank dungeon as I thought before?"

"No, that would be a waste of time and resources. I was naive after signing the contract to think that I could easily mask my dungeon dives in the city from the academy higher-ups. the city is after all tied up with the academy".

"So, it won’t be much of a hassle for the academy higher-ups to learn what I was doing in the city. Also, the more I try to hide, the more suspicious I would appear to them, which would only end me up in trouble".     "In addition to that, there is no need to hide too much. Hiding too much would not give me the resources to improve myself. That guard official looked down on me because I was weak. If I was at Rank-6, then even if I couldn’t reach Rank-7, he would have been respectful toward me".

"I was only Rank-1, and he was confident that we would not meet again. It was the reason behind his arrogance. One day, I would show him- no, not just him, but everyone who underestimated me just because I am a Death Mage".

"There is also the cult. I made it onto their hit list. So, it’s best to improve as fast as possible in the shortest time. There was news that a few cult members killed some top talented students while most failed and either died or were arrested".

"I don’t think that the cult will make any moves in the near future, but they will do so later on. So, I can’t leave the academy for now as that could make them move a bit quicker if they see me outside the protection".

"To be better prepared for them, I can only but grow in strength. So, I am entering the F-rank dungeons. No, I would be entering the E-rank dungeon".

"To be safe, I would enter an E-rank goblin dungeon. I killed a lot of goblins before, so I can understand them easily. I can move to other dungeons later on".

    "Goblin dungeon, here I come".
