Chapter 89: Chapter 89Later that night...

"This is too slow", Aaron muttered as he sat back and enjoyed the food he prepared the previous morning for his stay in the realm.

What he was talking about was the time it was taking him to clear monsters and collect the treasures that they were guarding.

When he was hunting the previous day, he didn’t encounter any treasures. Even today, he encountered a total of three treasures.

An entire day of hunting, and only three treasures?

That is considered a bad outcome. He understood that the outer areas have fewer treasures, and the further in he proceeds, the better the treasures would be, and so would be the dangers.

Even though there are dangers, he decided to go even further, but felt that the clearing rate was slow and would become even slower as those monsters he had to face would be higher level than him with a huge level gap, and that means they are stronger than he is.

"Maybe, I should increase the number of skeletons and ghosts by upgrading the skill levels. Reaching Elite grade is important, but a chance like this doesn’t occur every day", Aaron muttered as he mulled over the thought.

This competition was held in an Undead Ruins. Realms where undead monsters and treasures appear are very low compared to others, especially the four basic elemental places. There are a lot of dungeons and secret realms that have plenty of monsters and treasures that belong to the basic four.

Even in the outside world, these occupy a majority portion. So, their resources wouldn’t cost too much, but that wouldn’t be the same for resources belonging to a rare category like Light and Dark elemental resources, but the Undead element is rarer than them.

Coming here is a chance for him to gain a lot of resources like he did today, but these few are not enough. He needed more so that he could reach his goals faster.

"I have collected a lot of Black tokens, probably a hundred or near to it. So, I think that I would be one of the top, if not at the top. Whatever rewards the academy has prepared for us, I believe that they would be useful and I can’t miss out on that either", Aaon muttered to himself as he kept enjoying the food, while thinking of a solution.

Aaron was getting greedy, but that was a necessary trait for anyone who would like to reach the top. If there were no greed, then they would forever be in the lowest place. S~ea??h the n?velFire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Of course, there should be a limit to that greed.

Since Aaron was just trying to clear as many monsters and treasures from the ruins, and get the rewards from the academy, the greed he was exhibiting was not bad, and should be considered below the limit.

"Ah, let’s do this. I have a lot of SPs, and I can always earn a lot more as long as I level up. So, there would be no worry about lack of SPs", Aaron decided and started to upgrade two of his skills, Summon Skeleton and Summon Ghost, from Bronze Rank 1 to Bronze Rank 3.

To increase these skills from Bronze Rank 1 to Bronze Rank 2, it consumed 700 SPs, while to reach Bronze Rank 3, it consumed 1,000 SPs.

Once upon a time, Aaron would have considered seeing a 1,000 SPs in the status as a luxury, even with his 10x talent, but with the new 100x talent, he can almost earn that 800 per level, which would increase when he reaches Rank-3.

"I can have a total of 230 skeletons and 230 ghosts, which makes the number of soldiers in total almost 500, but I feel that they are insignificant. If I want to advance faster, I need a lot of undead resources, and to do so, I need more soldiers".

"Hmm, reaching the Elite grade is important as it can give me an attribute percentage boost, but with so many FSPs, I am not in urgent need of the attribute boost. Reaching Elite grade can wait".

"For now, I should use all the SPs to improve these two skills. Let’s see what the maximum that I can reach", Aaron decided and acted.

    Skills/Spells: Summon Skeleton (150/230) (Bronze Rank 3) (150/390) (Bronze Rank 5); Summon Ghost(150/230) (Bronze Rank 3) (150/310) (Bronze Rank 4);

    Skill Points: 5,107 107

    --

From Bronze Rank 3 to Bronze Rank 4, the SPs required were 1,500. Since he upgraded two skills, a total of 3,000 SPs were used.

Though the number of SPs remaining was a bit over two thousand, and he knew from the growing numbers, the account would become empty, but he didn’t care and used them directly on the Summon Skeleton, which increased its rank to bronze Rank 5.

A total of 2,000 SPs were spent on that. In the end, he was left with only 107, which he left alone as they aren’t anywhere near enough to be used to improve his skills.

After seeing that it was the maximum that he could do so at the moment, he started the new skeletons and ghosts to fill the gaps in the undead space.

The number of skeletons that he could have increased to 390, while the number of ghosts increased to 310. He had only 150 of each now.

With such huge reserves to fill, it took some time for him to fill them up. This left him tired, but when he went to sleep, he was in a happy mood, eagerly waiting for the next sunrise.
