Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent
Chapter 92
Chapter 92: Chapter 92Early in the morning, Aaron started sprinting towards the core area after completing his daily activities. This was something, no matter how high you go, you can’t escape from such things. Sure, one can go without for some time as one increases their rank, but that’s all.
While sprinting, he encountered a lot of monsters, but he ignored them. He didn’t even check whether there were any treasures around. His attention was purely concentrated on reaching the Core Region as soon as possible.
Even if he misses out on treasures or EXP now, he can easily get better quality treasures and higher EXP in the Core Region. Stopping for them here would only waste his time. So, he decisively ignored those and went straight to the Core Region.
Of course, even though he ignored them, that doesn’t mean they ignored him as he passed through. Almost all of the undead that he passed through attacked him, giving him no choice but to fight.
As he was in a hurry, he quickly ended the fights, even though it burned a lot of mana from him.
The reason why he didn’t care was because of the Death Energy.
After he got this new energy source that can be used as a replacement for Mana when using death skills, he didn’t care much about the consumption, especially when there are battles going on.
Where there is death, there would be death energy.
Now he was in Undead Ruins, where there was a lot of Death Energy. He didn’t observe at first, but as he started to move inward, he could feel it directly.
It was just like Mana. Sear?h the ηovelFire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Mana is everywhere, but no one would feel it in normal areas; but in an area rich in Mana, everyone would feel the difference of its presence.
This was the same with Death Energy.
Normally, other awakeners would find the area eerie, but to Death Professionals, areas like this don’t cause any issue. To Aaron, this region is like home.
If he were like any other Death professional, then he would have been like others, feeling nothing much, but with his bloodline and physique, he felt comfortable as if he were at home, safe and secure.
This was something he didn’t know, and he thought that the comfortable feeling was because he was a Death professional.
There was a lot of Death Energy here, and his recovery rate was very high. So, no matter how much he used, he didn’t run out of energy.
This made it easy for him to clear out the monsters that kept delaying him from reaching the core region.
---
Before noon, Aaron was able to enter the core region, or at least he thought where the core region started.
There are no perfect boundaries. Humans would only draw some imaginary lines as boundaries for convenience. Those boundaries are not for the monsters that roam the area, unless they are intelligent enough to understand, which was not possible for low-ranking monsters, unless they are of some special lineage.
Normally, any monster would level up its intelligence as it increases its rank. At Rank-6, a monster is said to be intelligent enough, but this applies to normal monsters.
There are many mythical monsters whose offspring would be intelligent from the start. Of course, monsters like this are very rare and are not sent out alone when they were young. So, normally, humans wouldn’t come into contact with monsters like this until they have reached Rank-6 or higher.
Mythical monsters are very intelligent and are also very powerful compared to other monsters. Among all the monsters, they are at the top, but they have certain disadvantages. No matter how much they try, the child birth rate is very low among them.
Since these mythical monsters are born rarely, the cubs wouldn’t be allowed to leave their home premises until they have proven that they are strong enough to survive out in the wild.
Only when the parent monsters were satisfied would they be allowed to enter the outside world to expand their horizons. Though the parent monsters are protective, they understand that they can’t always protect their child, and the child needs to understand the world better in order to improve their survival rate.
If they can’t understand how the world works, then the chances of their survival decrease. This was a fact that they knew very well. So, they would release their spawn, but always with a bit of protection over them.

After entering the core region, Aaron continued hunting monsters and collecting treasures from the region. Compared to the Inner region, the number of monsters here is higher, and their levels are also higher.
Though Aaron can’t see their levels, he could estimate their strength based on how they fight against him or his undead army.
"I really need to get that Identify or Analysis skill after returning from these ruins", Aaron muttered because of all the inconvenience he was facing.
As he went deeper, the treasures that he came across, no matter how he looked at them, he couldn’t say what they were or how they were useful.
Also, fighting unknown monsters always posed a lot of risk.
Till now, Aaron had entered only dungeons that were explored before, and these ruins, which were under the control of the academy, should have been explored fully before, and there shouldn’t be deathly dangers for them, or else they wouldn’t have sent a bunch of first years here.
This won’t be the case later on. One day, he would have to face monsters that are not recorded in the books. When that day comes, that would be dangerous for him if he keeps depending solely on a single source of information regarding the monsters.
It was something he had to deal with, but not for now. He could only do so after the tournament had ended. Until then, he could only do what he had been doing till now, hunt monsters and collect treasures, which can be measured later on, when he gets his hands on Identify or such skills.

It was almost dark when he chanced upon a building.
There were a lot of buildings, or what remained of those buildings, scattered across the ruins. Aaron saw a lot of them. Almost all of them have nothing left except for the foundations.
This was a ruin, and it can be expected of that, but what he was seeing at the moment was something Aaron didn’t expect.
The building in front of him is not exactly a building. It can’t be said to be a building.
"What in the..."
