Chapter 93
Chapter 93: Chapter 93"What in the world is this?" Aaron muttered in a daze as he looked at the building in front of him.
No, it was not a building. It was a palace.
This was supposed to be the Undead Ruins, but this building, this palace, was something that shouldn’t be here. It looked out of place, as there were no undead creatures near the building. For some reason, every undead monster avoided the place.
"There are only two reasons why the undead didn’t dare to come here. One was that there is something that is opposite of Undead, something that can damage undead creatures. The second is also something that can damage these creatures, but it was also an undead creature, which is very powerful".
"These are the only two reasons why they didn’t appear near the building nor dared to follow me here", Aaron muttered to himself.
There might be other reasons, but Aaron couldn’t think of any as he lacked the necessary knowledge. Though he has access to much of the low-level knowledge that the academy has, he still has to buy higher-level knowledge, which is very expensive.
He has been here for only a month. He didn’t even completely read the lower-level knowledge, much less buy higher-level knowledge.
After thinking for a while, even though Aaron didn’t know what lay ahead, he still entered the palace.
There is a chance of the greatest danger present here, but also the chance of the greatest reward. If there were a treasure that could repel undead from an area, then that treasure could surely be sold for millions of credits.
Treasures that act as repellents are always in demand and are sold for millions of credits.
There can be something that can help him directly. This was, after all, an Undead Ruins. So, he braved himself and entered the palace, which was not that difficult. The doors opened with just a push, making it easier for him to enter.
---
When he entered the palace, what he saw stunned him. It was not because the palace was magnificent or something like that. No, because there was nothing here.
There was nothing but white around him.
Aaron turned around only to see that there were no doors either. He entered a white room from the appearance.
"This was not exactly what I expected", Aaron muttered in a slightly trembling voice.
"That was stupid of me to enter the doors, without knowing where they lead", he chastised himself for doing such a stupid thing.
He was someone who was cautious normally, but as his prowess increased rapidly in the past few days, he became a bit arrogant and conceited. He started to believe that nothing could harm in the entire ruins.
If it were Aaron who had just awakened, even if he knew that there was treasure that would net him billions of credits, he wouldn’t have risked going into the palace without thinking much.
Now, he ended up in a white room, which had no entrances or exits.
Aaron always dreamed about making the lives of his parents better after he awakened, and now he was in the process, though just at the beginning, but he had started the work. Sёarch* The novёlF~ire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Now, though, because of his stupid decision to brave the danger for the possible rewards, he entered and got stuck in a white room.
If he can’t escape this room before the tournament ends, the academy would most likely mark me as dead.
"How would Mom and Dad feel if they heard that their only child died?" Aaron muttered in a sad tone.
He soon shook his head, "No, I can’t let that happen. I need to find a way out", he decided and started to examine the room, inch by inch.
---
"Ah, a new participant, huh?" A silhouette of a ghostly man can be seen observing the actions of Aaron from what appears to be a throne room.
The man was seated on the throne and had a crown on his head, as kings of old had. He appeared to be a man, but if one looks at him, they can easily say that he was not a living being, but what he is, not many can say correctly, even if everyone has their own answers for that question.
"He was just like others, a coward, who was terrified as soon as he was transferred to the white room, but unlike many, he quickly pulled himself together and started to look for a way out. There might be a chance", the man muttered as he continued observing Aaron for a while.
"I believe that’s enough. Anymore, his mental state would be disturbed, and he may fail the trials. I have waited for a long time. Hope he is the one", the man muttered as he disappeared from the throne room.
---
"Hello, little one", the man appeared behind Aaron in the white room and spoke to him.
Aaron was startled to hear a voice all of a sudden. He was supposed to be alone. The first thing he did when he entered the room was to look around to see what was in the room. There was nothing.
He started to search every inch to see if there was any hidden mechanism that would let him out. Though he was worried that he might be stuck here, he was safe for the moment, or at least that’s what he believed until he heard the voice, which indicated that he was not alone.
"Who said that?" Aaron looked around in terror to see who spoke, and saw the man standing a few feet behind him.
"Who are you?" Aaron asked in a terrified voice.
Aaron was Rank-2, and someone who can appear behind him should be someone very high, especially since what happened after he entered through the palace doors.
These ruins were controlled by the academy, and for this man to appear here, he was certainly powerful than anyone in the academy. The reason why he thought that he was powerful than the academy was because Aaron thought that the man came in through the portal in the academy.
There is no way that the academy would allow someone to enter the ruins, especially when a lot of students who are considered the future of human society are inside. So, the only way for the man to have entered the ruins was if he had laid waste to the academy, which shouldn’t be an easy thing to do.
There are many powerful people in the academy. Defeating them would take someone who is equal to a human god, like the five or someone above them.
Aaron couldn’t help but gulp when he started to imagine such a scenario.
The man looked weird, which only made it worse for Aaron.
