Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent
Chapter 305
CHAPTER 305: CHAPTER 305
Aaron’s parents returned home soon after him, and it was already dinner time.
As the three sat down to eat, his parents talked about the things that they had heard at the restaurant regarding the uprooting of the cultists and what had happened in other cities.
"We couldn’t believe that something big happened while we were asleep", Maya said.
"Yeah, we had to check online to confirm the things, and they all surprised us. We were lucky that our city was unscathed, but not all cities were so lucky", Thomas said.
"Ah, Thomas, did you remember that rumour that was spreading among the guests?" Maya spoke.
"Yes, I remember. They are saying that a patrol member arrested someone, which led to what happened last night, and they say it was an accidental arrest", Thomas chuckled.
"Yeah, accident or not, that saved us from a major disaster", Maya said.
Aaron wanted to tell them that it was he, but didn’t in the end. If he says he arrested the five, then he had to say what he thought about what could happen next, which would only give his parents unnecessary stress.
There was no need. There was enough content to use to push them forward.
"Yeah, even I heard some rumours about that during my patrol duties", he stated instead of telling the truth.
"It was not just what I heard. Some say that even though the cultists were removed from the city, a lot of them by the count, there should be a few who slipped by. If the cults find out the reason their mission failed, they could retaliate with a heavier hand, especially against the one who caused the failure, and that means, there would be a lot of collateral later on", Aaron said.
His parents were stunned or shocked to hear that. They never thought in that way.
If one thinks about the matter, it was only natural. The cults are bad guys, and they would do what bad guys would do when someone made them lose something, and in the process, there would be a lot of collateral damage.
"You were right. We didn’t think about that at all", they both replied in unison.
"Yeah, it was not something most think of anyway. Very few could think like that", Aaron replied, pushing everything to some rumours.
It would be best this way. They wouldn’t ask any questions, which means they can live their lives as they used to, without adding even more stress to their lives.
"Anyway, look what I found", he said as he placed two boxes in front of his parents.
Aaron had only one item for his parents, or so he thought at first. He searched through his inventory and he found a few items that could be used by the other one, who wouldn’t use the attribute crystal.
He had Skill Rank stone, which he stored away and never used, as his skills are far from its usage, and he had forgotten about its existence. Only now, as he was thinking about what to do, did he remember its existence.
There were more items, but he didn’t want to scare them. For now, one item each was more than enough.
"What is it?" They took the boxes and examined them.
Aaron explained what they were for, and when they heard those words, they wanted to return them, but Aaron bolted from the table, shouting No backsies.
The couple couldn’t chuckle at their son’s antics, which warmed their hearts. They didn’t push back the gifts and decided to use them. They knew that he was afraid for their safety, and it was why he had given them resources before, and these now.
If they don’t take and grow strong, he will always be stressed about them. So, they thought to become strong enough to give their son some peace of mind.
---
Days went by without much change in the world.
He asked Jay and even Lyanna to see if he could get a way to enter a resource point that can constantly give him resources, but no luck.
Lyanna mentioned that the academy has such dungeons, but they were restricted. Even she can’t enter without the permission from the Headmaster, and getting him one would take a lot. So, Aaron decided not to ask for any favour.
He didn’t have many connections in the first place. So, he pushed that to his luck to take care of.
As he had no luck in finding any resource points for the resources that would power up a person without levelling up, he kept to his duties and increased his attributes a bit by bit daily.

There were not many changes, just attributes increased as they were used to once. He kept those two million FSPs in hopes of using them on a special attribute, as he didn’t get one, and with how things were now, he didn’t continue to hoard them and used them to improve his attributes bit by bit.
What was once above two million was not below two million. Soon, they would be reduced to six-digit numbers and may be even lower.
