Chapter 622: 92.Remnants_2

Moli pursed her lips, having grasped the implication of Ramasitia’s words, and continued in the same vein,

“I understand, Mother is worried about the war involving the Mythical Species. The world will remain at peace in the years leading up to it, which is my opportunity… I can communicate with Mother and ask to leave the Sea Trench for the shore now. If I’m not strong enough to protect myself and Fisher when the war comes, I’ll heed Mother’s advice and stay obediently in the Sea Trench… Or I could knock Mr. Fischer out and bring him back.”

The more she spoke, the brighter Moli’s eyes became. The suppressed feelings from the argument with her Mother slowly dissipated, and Ramasitia, too, began to smile, saying to Moli,

“It’s roughly like that and don’t forget I’m here too. After ten thousand Full Moon Periods pass, I won’t need to fall into slumber again, and I will help you.”

Moli’s expression brightened, she sat up in bed, eager to go find Xuan Can right away, but she held back. Her Mother was probably still angry, so she decided she would wait a while before approaching her.

“Thank you, Lord Ramasitia!”

In the hall of Gold, Moli finished her lengthy speech. Her whale tail nervously flicked once behind her, sending a far-reaching current throughout the palace. Then, suddenly, the hall fell silent, leaving only Moli’s lips pursed with anxiety and uncertainty.

Before her, on the golden throne with the golden crown upon her head, Xuan Can opened her eyes, reflecting her daughter’s silhouette in the same deep blue gaze, seemingly considering the proposal her daughter had just made.

A finger of Xuan Can’s lightly tapped the armrest of her throne, and her facial expression remained unreadable. The lack of change, however, only added to Moli’s anxiety below. She stealthily glanced at her Mother before timidly asking,

“Is it possible… Mom?”

“Yes.”

“No? But I… Huh?”

Moli wavered her tail, closed her eyes, expecting a firm rejection from her Mother, only to hear her softly agree. Moli opened her eyes in disbelief, staring at the expressionless Xuan Can on the throne above, before rushing forward joyfully, grabbing one of her hands, and exclaiming excitedly,

“Thank you! I will definitely take care of myself. If I haven’t reached the Mythical Species when the war arrives, I will obediently return to the Sea Trench and won’t think about going ashore again, okay?”

Xuan Can sighed, grasping Moli’s hand in return and with a light wave of her other hand, she silently unleashed a terrifying force capable of piercing through rock layers and land veins. This power spread continuously, tearing a profound fissure within the hall. Countless sizzling bubbles instantly surged into the Ocean, blowing Moli’s blue hair backward.

“Boom!”

“Stand behind me.”

At that moment, from beneath the earth, the terrifying heat continued to emerge. Moli looked intently and saw that from the seemingly bottomless trench, the lava from deep within the earth’s veins was erupting something non-stop. Her Mother had already pulled her to her side and with a gentle clench towards the sea, the pure elements within the magma became attracted by an invisible, mighty force, flying upward towards the palace.

The cloudy, high-temperature liquid was continuously compressed and beaten as it ascended rapidly, emitting a fierce hiss and a blinding golden light that was hard to look directly at. In no time, as the cooled liquid and steam bubbles reached the palace, right before Moli’s eyes, it had already taken shape, becoming a set of golden armor and a crown designed for a female Whale-man.

“Mom…”

“I was supposed to give you this when you were older. I quite like weapons and armor, so I learned from other races how to craft armor and created armor suitable for the Whale-man Species… Heh, even though no Whale-man wears armor except for myself, that will change after today.”

The shimmering golden armor slowly floated towards Moli, guided by the underwater currents, filling her azure eyes with golden luster. Xuan Can tapped the ground with her foot lightly, and the whole Sea Trench shook like an earthquake. The crack that had split open to the earth’s core swiftly closed up, leaving no trace behind.

Outside, the Whale-men, disturbed by the noise, looked around irritably. Realizing the sound came from the Golden Palace, they paused, then indifferently lay back down to sleep.

All was well again.

“This armor isn’t just your protection; it’s also a way for me to locate you. Inside, there are weapons and some knowledge stored, including how to craft relics, which you might encounter after going ashore.”

“Hey, did Aunt teach Mom how to craft relics?”

“Hmm, it only took me a few days to learn, so you should be able to learn it too. Relics are just external things, mostly useless, and break easily. After making them, you can exchange them with other races for some money or something.”

Xuan Can returned to sit upon her throne. As Moli’s fingers slowly made contact with the golden armor, it instantly melted and flowed towards her body, combining bit by bit against her skin to form the original shape of the armor, fitting Moli’s frame perfectly, even her chest felt no tightness at all…
