Boju had a slight smile on his face that he was trying to hide. The picture that Avalin had drawn for him was tucked away in his pocket.

"So..." the highland orc started, "What is it that you decided to say here for? I haven't really heard much about anything going on."

"Really? Tons of people are talking about it. It's some kind of sacrifice thing. Actually, Gobu is literally prepping right now to help out," Eiro pointed out. This clearly surprised Boju. Not just that, it was obvious that he felt a little hurt.

"Oh... I... I really didn't know. And uhm... a sacrifice, you say? Animals?"

"Food. Handmade gifts. Effort, really," Eiro smiled lightly, "But don't tell anyone that I've already figured it out, they clearly want it to be a surprise."

"I... I see."

"Don't worry about it, kid. Gobu is just a bit difficult at times. And especially since he became my servant, he clearly turned a lot more... jealous. I'm the Demon Lord of Virtue and Sin, on top of being The World. Becoming my servant amplifies certain good and certain bad aspects. For Gobu, it looks like for a virtue, his diligence increased a lot. As for sins... his envy had become a little powerful. And it does not present in a great way. I'm very sorry that it's being taken out on you right now."

Boju shook his head, "No, no, don't worry... I'm not upset or anything, just..."

"You know that lying to make me feel better doesn't work either, right?"

The orc laughed slightly, "Right, sorry. I guess it is a little upsetting, if I had to say..."

"Don't worry, kid. He'll get over it. I'll make sure he does. Okay?"

"Alright. Thank you," Boju nodded his head, though it clearly still didn't make him feel all that good for now.

Avalin curiously tugged on the collar of her father's shirt, "Daddy, what would be my... uh, sin and..."

"Your sins and virtues? Well," Eiro thought about it for a moment. He knew their sins already; Avalin's was greed, and Leon's was sloth. He knew about these since they were born already. Kindness fit them both pretty well. They were quite kind children, though that may sound as braggery. With the fact that they were literal children came the virtue of Chastity, but due to their age, he didn't want to count that. In the end, it wasn't as though he really believed in the doctrine of virtues all too much. They simply existed as balancing counterparts to sins, encapsuled by the divine instead of the demonic.

"I would say... you two have the virtue of cuteness, at the very least."

Avalin immediately giggled, shaking her head, "That's not a real one!"

"Huh? Really? I was pretty sure it was..."

"Nope!"

"Well, then it should be," Eiro shrugged, walking back toward the door. He flicked a wrist and Boju's bag started to levitate behind him, "Let's bring your stuff to the carriage already, and then we can go look for the others if you want. Or... you can show us around a bit. Show us your favourite parts of town, you know?"

Boju nodded his head, a bit surprised, "Y-Yes! Yes, let's do that!"

Arc was walking around at the front of the group, slowly keeping his mouth open. He currently wasn't allowed to either eat nor keep his mouth closed. His tongue had to be constantly visible, after how he literally almost swallowed it a few minutes ago.

Plus, this helped make it so that he couldn't keep blabbering away and had to think about what he had to say. Because if he spoke for too long, or thought too much with his mouth closed, his siblings would immediately pull his mouth open again.

"Okay, most importantly... how did you learn as monster languages?" Sammy asked, leaning forward suspiciously.

"Dad," Arc replied, as if it were obvious. And frankly, it was obvious. Who else would Arc learn it from?

"And why did he teach you, and not us..?" Rudy wondered, and his brother quickly shrugged.

"I asked. You guys didn't. Dad will teach us anything we want to know."

"... Do you have actual skills related to those languages?" Rudy contnued. Arc quickly looked at something in front of him – clearly his current status window – and shrugged.

"Yesn't. Yes for some, no for others. And to make it clear, I don't know a lot of stuff in each of these languages. I learned some of them, sure. Orcish and goblin are pretty similar to each other, so that was easy, but things like the harpy language? That stuff is so-"

Clementine slightly kicked her brother's shin, "Shush." Еnjоying thе stоry? Find mоrе аt

"... What I was saying is that I know some basic sentences in a few different languages. I figured knowing that stuff in situations like this would be helfpul, which... it clearly was," Arc shrugged. He didn't quite understand why everyone else was so shocked. It wasn't his fault that they never tried asking, or cared to learn any other language. Then again, if your mind only knew a world where everyone was supposed to speak a single language, 'common', then it wasn't that weird to not consider learning other languages. Especially since it was pretty damn hard for people to learn monster languages, as if the system was trying to prevent them from doing so.

For the time being, the group continued on walking through town. Arc kept his mouth open with his tongue visible, and the others were just chatting away. That was, until Arc slowly turned back around toward them.

"Yo, uh..."

"Who said you could talk?" Sammy sighed loudly. Arc stared at her with a blank face.

"Be careful or you're gonna make my skill level up," he replied, smirking lightly as he did, "I was just wondering if you guys noticed that we're being followed."

The four besides Arc just stopped, staring at him, "Wait, what? Who's following us? Is it dad?" Clementine wondered, looking around confused.

"Do you think any of us could ever notice if dad is around? I know I pay more attention to that stuff, but I'm not that good," Arc scoffed, "No, it's just some kid. Been following us since the thing with my tongue, I think."

"What? That was twenty minutes ago!" Sammy pointed out, upset that Arc hadn't said anything earlier, but he just shrugged.

"You told me not to say anything unnecessary.

"... Seriously, why doesn't your skill get rid of pettiness?"

"Because clearly, pettiness isn't a negative emotion. It's the best emotion of them all," Arc grinned, turning his head over in the direction of their pursuer, "Right? What do you think, isn't it a great emotion?"

Turning their heads to where Arc was looking, his siblings, plus Felix, saw a young girl. Maybe a year or two younger than them. 14, maybe early 15. Short, curly hair. She was hiding out in an alley, just staring at them. She nervously pulled her head back into the alley, trying to hide from them.

"Do you want to coax her out, or should I?" Arc asked, looking at Sammy with a broad smile.

"What? Why would I- You know I don't like to do that kind of thing with random people..."

"It's not a 'random person', she's been following us around!"

Sammy was still unsure, turning to Clementine, Rudy, and Felix for their opinions.

"... She has been following us... that's pretty suspicious..." Clementine pointed out. Clearly, neither Rudy nor Felix were able to object too much either. With a sigh, Sammy took a step forward. She held her hands to the sides of her mouth, trying to not let her voice carry to people that she wasn't actively talking to right now, "Come out. Please, tell us why you're following us."

Not even a full second later, the girl came out from the alley. She stared at Sammy confused for a few moments, before her mouth began to move against her will, "You were... being suspicious... and weird... I don't even know who you are, and I can't just let strangers run around, tearing out each other's tongues!"

"Wait, wait, hold on! I didn't tear out his tongue, I healed it!"

"Then why did you push your hand in his bleeding mouth?"

"To heal him! My ability requires touch! Plus, look, does he sound like he doesn't have a tongue?" Clementine pleaded, trying to convince her as well as she could. The girl looked at Arc and hesitated.

"I... guess so? But still, that doesn't explain who you are yet! How did you get in here?"

"We're-" Arc started, but knowing that he liked to escalate things unnecessarily, Rudy stepped in front of him, "I'm sure you know Eiro Jura Daemonherz, yes?"

The girl crossed her arms, "Of course I do! Who in this town doesn't?"

"Well, we're his kids," Rudy explained. The girls topped, surprised.

"Wait, what? Seriously?" she asked, looking at everyone in the group, "Which one of you guys is Arc?"

Surprised, everyone looked at him, trying to figure out how this girl knew about him. With a broad smile on her face, she looked at Arc, doing something that surprised him more than anything had surprised him in quite a while.

"¡Soy Jane! ¡Soy de la Tierra, como tú!"
