A common theme throughout the boons he could receive was that they were pretty much completely passive, simply enhancing aspects of his being or some of his capabilities. This was practical in Edrick’s eyes, since if he got things that required active control to be utilised, he would rapidly start drowning in a sea of countless abilities, as he was definitely going to try and earn as many of those boons as possible.

Although those relating to specific people clearly required a long time to be earned. Anoteros rarely spent a day without at least having some fun with one of his wives, it had taken quite a while to receive anything from it.

He would aim for species-related boons instead… But in any case, ‘Pixie Blessing’ was quite the reward. Although it was unclear how an affinity with a species was going to manifest, everything else about it was simply incredible. Inner energies were the base of cultivation, and it was by circulating them that one improved as a cultivator. This was especially good in Edrick’s case, as he had chosen not to focus on a single energy type, having instead decided to circulate everything together at once. Therefore, such an overall improvement would show itself quickly.

As for the last part, from his understanding, it meant that his very self carried the blessing. For example, if someone drank his blood, they could benefit from it.

But there was no need for him to theorise when he could just ask the system directly if that was the case. It wasn’t like there was anything about the question that the system should be unwilling to answer.

Fairies, pixies, and their related species can create some dust from their wings from time to time. It has no use for them, but for most others, it can stimulate and purify inner energies. The purification is permanent, but the stimulation is not, so it is a well-regarded cultivation resource as it works for nearly all techniques without problem
