CHAPTER 64: CHAPTER 51: IMPLICATION AND OFFENSE
"Mom, did you also graduate from this university?! Isn’t it a university in the Southern Region?"
Gabrielle Winters asked in surprise, "...Who said I graduated from Southern University?"
Lawrence Winters quickly waved his hand and said, "No one said that, I just guessed. It’s because everyone back home said you returned from a big company in the Southern Region."
Gabrielle Winters smiled and said, "Can’t I graduate from Northern University and then go to the Southern Region to find work?"
Lawrence suddenly realized and nodded vigorously, "Mom, you’re right! I was too narrow-minded!"
He felt like he couldn’t even handle a brain teaser, how silly!
He gave his forehead a light slap.
Gabrielle was amused by him and said, "It’s okay, it’s not a big deal."
While the mother and daughter were talking, Nick Zeller had already parked the car under Lawrence’s dormitory building.
Lawrence Winters’ major was Public Relations, abbreviated as PR.
However, Nick Zeller didn’t take her to the PR building to register but directly took her to her dormitory.
"You go up first, your mom and I will go to the department to register for you." Nick Zeller cheerfully patted her on the shoulder and pushed a key into her hand, "Your dorm is on the 38th floor, room 366. Here’s the key."
Lawrence was speechless as she looked at Nick Zeller, "Uncle, don’t I need to register?"
"Your situation is a bit special. I’ll handle the paperwork for you." Nick Zeller laughed, "Once classes start, the professors will get to know you."
Lawrence: "..."
"Alright, I’ll go to the dorm first. You can come find me after you finish the paperwork."
Nick Zeller nodded, "It won’t take long. Check out the dorm first. The bed was yours three and a half years ago, but you never lived here, so your roommates might have taken over your bed."
Lawrence knew that although she never stayed on campus, she had paid the dormitory fee in full every year.
She pulled a suitcase full of new clothes, carried a backpack with a laptop and iPad, and held a bag of freshly bought snacks, heading to the third floor to find room 366.
The corridors of the girls’ dormitory at Metropolitan North University were winding like a maze. She had been here twice before, but she still got dizzy and walked around twice until her legs were weak before she found room 366.
At the door of the dorm, she first tried to push the door but it didn’t open.
She wasn’t sure if someone was inside with the door locked, or if no one was there. After thinking for a bit, she took out the key and slowly opened the dorm door.
In dorm 366, three girls were chatting about fun things from their holidays when they suddenly heard the sound of a key in the door, startling them all.
"...Who else has a key to our dorm?!" The tallest girl exclaimed, clutching her chest in surprise, "Everyone in our dorm is already here!—Who’s opening the door?!"
Although it was a four-person dorm, they had always lived with just the three of them. The other person, Lawrence Winters, was reportedly often sick and recuperating in other places, not even attending classes.
So they never expected that person to come to the dorm.
Lawrence opened the dormitory door with the key and was greeted by three girls with frightened expressions.
"...Big Sister Three Billionaire, Crazy Little Sis, and Saint Molly." Lawrence smiled and nodded at them, "Lawrence Winters is back!"
The three girls looked up and saw a girl with a pretty face, a slightly plump figure, and a friendly demeanor. They all breathed a sigh of relief.
The tallest, Molly Zimmerman, was the first to react and quickly came over, "...Lawrence Winters? You’re healed? Are you here for exams or to stay on campus?"
Lawrence wore a pure and kind smile and walked in unhurriedly, casually closing the dorm door, "I’m healed, so I’m back for classes."
"Oh, oh, oh, that’s great. Congratulations, congratulations." Molly Zimmerman seemed genuinely happy, "You actually remember our nicknames! I thought you’d forgotten all about us!"
"How could I forget?" Lawrence put down her suitcase, turned around, and said with a smile, "Molly Zimmerman, you’re our dorm leader, always ready to help! That’s how you got the nickname Saint Molly."
Then, looking at the girl sitting across from her bed who was beautifully flamboyant, she said, "Big Sister Three Billionaire is different. Even though I wasn’t around much, I know her legend!"
"She’s a famous CEO fiction enthusiast in our PR department, always dreaming of marrying into a wealthy family with a child. She was discouraged by the class president with the stories of Superman and Liang Xishi, saying even if she gave a wealthy family three sons, it wouldn’t guarantee her entry into the family."
"But Big Sister Three Billionaire stubbornly believes that if she can have three billion, not marrying into wealth is also fine!"
"Thus, her nickname spread far and wide, becoming famous throughout our department."
